The proposed approach is based on the Nyquist stability criterion. The fractional-order systems can be described by the fractional-order differential equations or by fractional-order transfer functions. This approach does not need the poles calculation of the close-loop system characteristic equation, which is not polynomial but so-called pseudopolynomial with fractional power. The proposed test procedure is demonstrated on several illustrative examples. By using a Matlab function solve(), the obtained stability results are cross-validated. The other criteria for stability investigation are discussed in conclusion of article.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115709203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main field of application is a task of operation and manipulation in industrial degreasing and paint removing lines. For this purpose a special three DoF parallel spherical wrist was constructed. This allows a placement of all the vulnerable components of the robot such as drives and electronics outer the end-effector space, which may contain aggressive chemicals. All the positioning of the effector is performed by a system of mechanical transmissions which allow separating it from the rest of the machine by a waterproof barrier. Second part of the robot consists of three-arm serial manipulator with three DoF connected to moving support which results in final seven degrees of freedom kinematics. The paper deals with kinematical analysis of the manipulator and presents some basic approaches for motion planning and control.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131078180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of the control law is to reach the maximum position accuracy. The driving motor is set in the position mode which allows a definition of the displacement law (table of predefined position values). The control law uses position-speed-torque cascade with speed feed forward loop applied and torque feed forward loop applied as well. It is possible to couple and to uncouple the different parts of the cascade and investigate the effect of the particular loops. The load of the mechatronic chain was realized by servo drive set in torque mode which enables to keep the constant applied torque. The measured data were recorded using the programming tools of Yaskawa. Firstly the position accuracy was monitored at the constant speed of the drive when the torque of the load was changing. Secondly the displacement law for the driving motor was strictly defined and the accuracy of positioning was monitored again. The experiment results show the beneficial impact of feed forward loops on the position accuracy of a kinematic excitation.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126613957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Location information of mobile nodes is a demand in many wireless systems. To give the position of the target node reference points have to be used. The node can calculate its distance and/or angle between itself and the reference points. In the 2D space, if a node knows its distance from three reference points its position can also be determined. One more reference point is needed in the 3D space to determine the current position of the target device. In this paper the main localization techniques used in self-organizing sensor networks are described.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116623736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the major driving forces of BFOA is the chemotactic movement of a virtual bacterium that models a trial solution of optimization process. In the classical BFOA proposed by Passino, during the process of chemotaxis, optimization depends on a random search direction which may lead to delay in reaching global solution. To accelerate the convergence speed of group of bacteria near global optima the chemotactic step has been made adaptive and the resultant is Adaptive Bacterial Foraging Optimization (ABFO). In order to overcome the delay in optimization and to further enhance the performance of ABFO, this paper proposed a new hybrid algorithm combining the features of Adaptive Bacterial Foraging (ABF) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for tuning a Fractional order Proportional Integral speed controller in a vector controlled Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive. Our tuning method focuses on minimizing the Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) criterion. Computer simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to that of classical methods and state of art optimization techniques like PSO and ABFO.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124979228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heat exchanger is an equipment which is used for heating-up one medium by the other. Indirect heat transfer is considered i.e. medium are not in direct contact and heat transfer occurs through the wall. Mentioned heat exchanger is typical for area of raw materials processing and it is used mainly for preheating of combustion air, fuel. Exchanger is also used for cooling of equipment, warmed products etc. In the case of exchanger, above all, processes of heat transfer by convection, heat transfer by conduction and accumulation of heat are modelled and described in article. Mathematical model built by means of balancing equations represents base of simulation model created in Matlab Simulink by using s-function. Real data is gained from laboratory experimental equipment and are compared with simulation results. In the end part of article reasons of variation of data from simulation model and from real equipment are analyzed. Possibilities of improving and extension of model to create model more exactly are mentioned.","PeriodicalId":368762,"journal":{"name":"2011 12th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133921873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
