The main objective of our study is to introduce a comparative analysis of fuzzy logic (FLC), radial basis function neural network (RBF) and integral sliding mode control (ISMC) tuned with whale optimizer algorithm (WOA) for the control of the angle position and velocity of the inverted pendulum system. The implemented controller schemas can adequately reflect and approximate a certain type of uncertainties, nevertheless their parameters should be fine-tuned in order to get height and efficient performance, therefore all the antecedents and consequences of those controllers were tuned with WOA. This later provide height accuracy and fast convergence with height dimensional cost function. Comparative results shows that ISMC-WOA outperforms other techniques in term of settling time and overshoot.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134052228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is also widely used in hydraulic forged machine tools, forged automotive crankshaft systems, shafts and gears, because of their improved characteristics, and its good tribological properties. The purpose regarding this work is to check the tribological characteristics of austempered AISI 4340 steel while dry and lubricated with machinery oil of SAE 30 grade as base oil. As received, AISI 4340 steel samples have been austempered to four definitely austenitic phase temperatures (850℃, 900℃, 1000℃, and 1050℃) for 90 minutes before being immersed in a mixture of potassium nitrite and sodium nitrite at 400℃ for 45 minutes. Friction and wear tests were then performed on austempered samples. Multi-walled carbon nanotube particles were blended at weight concentrations of 0.055, 0.1, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.35, 0.40, and 0.45 with typical machinery oil of 30 grade as base lubricant oil. A pin on the disc wear configuration was used in the experimental investigation. The use of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube (MWCNTs) additives in the base oil resulted in a decrease in both friction coefficients and wear rates values when compared to typical base oil lubricant. The results also showed a reduction in both friction coefficients and wear rates as the sample's austempering temperatures were raised. Sliding surfaces were also photo micro graphed, and when the volume concentrations of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube particles in the normal base oil lubricant were increased, smoother surfaces with less damage were shown.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122933789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its principle consists of estimating flux and speed separately, by using linear Luenberger as flux observer and intelligent PI controller as rotor speed estimator. Considering that is generally challenging to established proper PI parameters, the ADALINE algorithm is integrated as a trainable module to automatically calculate the KP and the KI gains in each iteration during all operation induction motor. This algorithm helps to search on the one hand the best regulation of the controller in real-time, taking into account the objectives to achieve (an accurate estimation) and the respect constraints (heavy calculation). On the other hand, it makes it possible to improve the adaptive Luenberger estimation problem in the unobservable zone (low speed). The experimental comparison of the observers demonstrates the visible improvement of the enhanced observer. It can converge to real speed in a short time with less static and transient error.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124903248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As new engine designs are introduced, the in-cylinder flow behaviour becomes more and more complex. The maximum output and efficiency that can be achieved from a single cylinder engine depends upon the amount of air entrapped in the combustion chamber during intake stroke. A novel crank-rocker (C-R) engine was designed and fabricated in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia and is currently under optimization phase. This paper narrates the in-cylinder cold-flow analysis of the C-R engine considering widely used industrial automotive software, Converge CFD. The turbulent behaviour of the C-R engine was compared with that of the conventional crank-slider engine. The initial and boundary conditions for the C-R engine simulations were set according to the benchmarked crank-slider engine. RNG k-ε turbulence model was used to generate the data plots for tumble & swirl ratios, cylinder pressure, TKE, turbulent dynamic viscosity and vorticity at cold-flow conditions. It was observed that the C-R engine has better air scavenging properties and can achieve better air-fuel mixing that can lead to emission-free combustion. This study will help in understanding the turbulent airflow behaviour within the curved cylinder under the influence of rocking piston motion, and its advantageous flow properties compared to those in crank-slider engines.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128408583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The motions of wave surges in the marine environment will affect the operation of mining vessels, especially for the heave motion which will cause serious disturbances to the mining vessels during operation, and even the damage of the hull structure and related mining facilities. Hence, it is very necessary to compensate for the heave motion of the mining vessel, and a hydraulic cylinder-based active-passive integrated composite heave compensation system is designed in this paper. Firstly, the structural composition and working principle of the heave compensation system are introduced, and its mathematical model is also established. Secondly, the frequency domain and time domain analysis are carried out using AQWA software to obtain the heave displacement response of the ship under regular and irregular waves of six sea states as the desired compensation displacement. Finally, the controller of the active-passive heave compensation system is designed, and a fuzzy logic control strategy based on Mamdani type is proposed, and the control performance is analyzed. The results show that the accuracy of the fuzzy logic control algorithm is better than the traditional PID control algorithm, and the laws and methods of PID adjustment are obtained, which proves that the fuzzy logic control algorithm has obvious advantages for engineering applications.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114850660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Back-propagation algorithm and Takagi-Sugeno (TS) approach are used to train the ANNs, FISs and ANFIS, respectively. In this study we will show how ANFIS can be put in order to form nets that able to train from external data and information compared to ANNs and FISs. In order, it is proposed forms of inputs that can be used along with ANNs, FISs and ANFIS to modeling nonlinear systems. Two nonlinear systems with an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal in the form of simulation and complexity were used to test the identification of the structure presented. Because ANFIS has an inherent capacity to approximate unknown functions and to adjust the changes in inputs and parameters, it can be used to identify the proposed systems with a very high level of complexity. Because for any Nation to achieve sustainable development, the Nation must have quality manufacturing industries. This paper summarizes existing articles on the effects of high-pressure lubrication conditions on chip formation and temperature distribution. Also, surface roughness, tool wear, and vibrations in machining operations when considering the current trend. Furthermore, the study of nano-lubricant and their application in reducing friction and temperature were also reviewed. The study also examined other lubrication conditions, cutting parameters with the high-pressure machining operations to draw a definite conclusion. The review confirms that applying a high-pressure lubrication system is very efficient. However, it has some challenges. Cooling technology is not built into the system, discovered during this review. Therefore, the study will recommend a developed machine that can function in multiple faces. Industrial 4.0 additive manufacturing techniques can build the cryogenic system—making the lubricant delivery machine a sustainable technology in machining operation. A high-pressure-cryogenic-MQL lubrication process is needed for sustainable machining operations of various alloys and metal composite materials for automobile, aerospace, and structural applications. The sustainable lubrication system will also help eradicate high-temperature occurrence in the machining region with a sustainable way of removing the chips without experiencing chip breakage at the cutting region.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115630047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
