The input signal of a DC component may be due to some sort of malfunction, or it may be the result of the structure and restrictions of the measurement/conversion procedures. This part makes the system's loop oscillate at low frequencies and no filter can fully filter them out because that would significantly harm the system's dynamic response. The proposal involves augmenting the PLL structure with a new loop. It is basic architecturally and in contrast to a currently presented method and it does not detract from the algorithm's high-frequency filtering level. This Orthogonal Signal Generators (OSG) control algorithm is used for active power filter to maintain unity power factor, neutral current compensation using star/three single transformer & current harmonics mitigation. The MATLAB/Simulink results are demonstrated for the above stated Power Quality (PQ) problems.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133931013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the nonlinear behavior of the PV system, a specific methodology based on Tayler’s expansion series is opted for the modelling, control, and optimization. During the proposed steps, a practical PID controller is designed using a dynamic state space averaging approach. This controller is used to track the maximum power point (MPP) and control the battery charging process. To check the validity of this controller, it is applied with three disparate MPPT algorithms to enhance system performances by preventing drift phenomenon against fast changing in cell temperature and solar irradiance, and control the battery pack to conform with the load rating voltage. A typical 2525 W SPV is simulated in short term to capture fast dynamics transitional details. By comparison with practical manufacturer's specifications of the PV panel, the load, and the battery pack; simulation results show particularly, good performances with fuzzy logic controller in terms of speed tracking, MPPT tracking accuracy, voltage quality, and reducing transient fluctuations. The findings of this research substantiate its efficacy, which may serve as a prototype study for the design and realization of stand-alone photovoltaic systems with energy storage.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130795270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A simulation model has been established through the analysis of the relevant constraints such as estimation errors derived from self-switched time- delayed (TD) Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF). Machine learning techniques, specifically probabilistic principal components analysis (PPCA) and the support vector machine (SVM) have been successfully adopted on the database of the proposed model to detect and isolate the faults. ‘Three tank system’, the commonly used bench mark problem, has been re-employed here to prove the efficiency of the proposed estimation and fault detection algorithm. In this work, it is conjectured that the available measurements are time delayed. Through this study, the efficacy of the proposed time- delayed Unscented Kalman Filter (TD-UKF) and Machine Learning based fault detection have been demonstrated on the afore mentioned benchmark problem. The results indicates that Machine learning based algorithm can detect the fault with more accuracy and less false alarm than other statistical methods. The finding of this research can be used for any type of industrial system to detect the faults with better potential and higher range coverage.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"152 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123645228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To maintain a triple link inverted pendulum (TLIP) vertical, genetic algorithm has been employed to adjust and tune the parameters of LQR, which are the weighting matrices Q and R instead of the approach of try and error. In this article, a hybrid control algorithm (GA-LQR) proposed to select the optimal values of weighting matrices to overcome LQR design difficulties, which gives the best transient response requirements such as percentage overshoot and steady state error. The triple link inverted pendulum is model mathematically modelled in MATLAB platform to simulate the actual system where the results from the simulation gives acceptable and adequate performance of LQR controller in making the system stable.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132460459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tuning parameters is a challenging task, to overcome this issue a hybrid meta-heuristic optimization algorithm has been utilized. This evolutionary technique is known as the hybrid whale grey wolf optimizer (HWGO), which benefits from the performances of the two traditional algorithms, the whale optimizer algorithm (WOA) and the grey wolf optimizer (GWO), to obtain the most suitable solution. The efficiency of the HWGO algorithm is compared against those of the original algorithms WOA, GWO, the particle swarm optimizer (PSO), and the hybrid particle swarm grey wolf optimizer (HPSOGWO). The simulation results in MATLAB–Simulink environment revealed the highest efficiency of the suggested HWGO technique compared to the other methods in terms of settling and rise time, overshoot, as well as steady-state error. Finally, a star trajectory is made to illustrate the capability of the mentioned controller.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131959783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this research developed an evaporative cooler prototype system based on HE-COOL V1.0 control model with a design for speed regulation control. The design was conducted with an Arduino microcontroller with various buttons: button 1 represents a low speed, button 2 represents a medium speed, and button 3 represents a high speed. The voltage used in the control model was 9 volts which is a voltage drop from the power supply unit of 220 V, and the port on the Arduino pinout has a 5 V supply. Humidity was detected by a DHT11 sensor with an average percentage of 56% usage factor monitored during an air-conditioning tests process. In addition, the input uses an application installed on an Android smartphone that makes users control the Arduino (device) from a distance of 0 to 21 meters without barriers and 19 meters with barriers using Bluetooth communication between devices. Users can also store and observe the humidity output data through a real-time firebase web database system feature.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123248116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The complex structure of control methods in real-time applications is usually computationally challenging and energy consuming, hence the need for a simple control strategy to overcome these challenges, in this paper, we focus on designing an advanced hybrid control strategy with a simple design applied to an induction motor. Mainly, the hybrid controller used in this study has the benefits of joining the best performance of both fuzzy logic controller and sliding mode controller, specifically designed to handle each phase separately, the transition phase and the steady phase. A fuzzy controller intervenes as a supervisor in our control structure, more specifically it manages the switch from one type of control to the other taking into account the intervention phase of each type of controller by commanding the rate of both controllers. Control performance analysis was carried out in a real experimental setup to validate the efficiency and robustness of the proposed hybrid controller and confirm its effectiveness in handling the compromise between overshoot and response time.","PeriodicalId":368390,"journal":{"name":"Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116100400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) provide approximate solutions to various problems and form a good optimization.
