Tejelli Serjan Sirma, who started his artistic career with the story “Poor Kadir”, manages to visualize the process of how war changes human life in his novel “The tree of knowing good and evil”. The author was able to touch on the main reasons for the war in the novel and to give a generalized assessment of the wars in the world.The fact that the Armenians attacked the Turkic peoples, reflected in the novel in with short episodes, reflects the fact that the historical memory has not been forgotten. The author managed to present the genocide committed by the Armenians against the Turkic peoples as a tragedy of society. The symbolic way of thinking that forms the basis of the romantic concept is explored within context and tradition. In romanticism, the world and man, the perception of the world, man and time, God and man, and so on. in contexts, symbolic logic, the ability of thought to abstract, comes to the fore. The fact that most of the symbol's attempts to gain terminological accuracy date back to the romantic period is being investigated as a legitimate process. It is noted that the poet, who was born in 1320, has graves in 14 places in Turkey and in Onjaly village of the Gakh region in Azerbaijan.In the versatile poetry of Yunus Emre, who travelled at different times, impressions and traces of those journeys are reflected. Yunus Emre left a mark not only as a master of a lyric poetry, but also as a mature thinker. An extensive research about the life and creativity of Yunus Emre has been carried out in Turkey. Yunus Emre studies is an important direction of Turkish literary criticism. For the first time in Azerbaijan, Amin Abid in his article “The history of syllabic metre” that published in the magazine “Maarif Ishchisi” (“Worker of enlightenment”) in 1927 wrote about Yunus Emre’s services in the transition of aruz to syllabic metre in Turkish poetry. {"title":"Great Kazakh thinker Abai and Azerbaijan","authors":"Isa Habibbayli","doi":"10.59849/cl.vi02.126","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59849/cl.vi02.126","url":null,"abstract":"The article deals with hard and honourable way of life of an outstanding classic of the Kazakh literature, great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbay (1845-1904) who reflected national-spiritual values of Kazakh people. It is mentioned that the years of study in Semipalatinsk were of special importance in the formation of Abai Kunanbayev's outlook. Abay, who studied at a madrasa on his father’s advice, learnt Arabic and Persian, but later dropped out and got an opportunity to study the rich Russian literature and culture at a Russian school in Semipalatinsk. Writing poems that glorify the people’s spirit caused him to be persecuted by the authorities.However, in spite of all this, he sought the way of prosperity of the people only in enlightenment, in national-spiritual self-awareness. Abai's first poem, written when he was 10 years old – \"Chasing a camel\" – tells about his great talent. The social themes reflected in his poems are similar to the problems expressed in 19th century Azerbaijani literature from Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanov to Gasim bey Zakir and Seyid Azim Shirvani. The peak point of Abai Kunanbayev's creative work was considered his novel “Agliyya” (“Black Words”). This novel reflects the whole evolution processes from Abai's moral theory to enlightened realism.The article also touches on the points that connect the life and work of Abai Kunanbayev with Azerbaijan. It is also noted that Nizami Ganjavi and Mahammad Fuzuli has an important role in forming his worldview. Translation work in Abai Kunanbayev’s activity who has a wide range of other creative activities also has a special place. He liked Alexander Pushkin's novel “Eugene Onegin” and popularized many parts of this work among the Kazakh people by repeating. It is noted that the materials related to Azerbaijani literature are covered extensively in 4 volumes of the 5-volume book “Turkish Literature”. It is clear from the article that Ahmed Shemide from Turkish origin living in Germany played an invaluable role in delivering the materials about Azerbaijani literature to Ahmed Kabakli. He sent the materials posted to Germany by the prominent scholar from Baku, Abbas Zamanov and People’s Poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade to the Turkey – Ahmed Kabakli on his own behalf. Thus Ahmed Kabakli was one of the prominent scholars who obtained and read on Azerbaijani literature in Turkey in the 20th century and then researched and popularized it.
