The main goal of society diagnosis is to identify persons involved in a case and partition them into three classes: the innocent, the quality and the unintentional liars by analyzing the testimonies which one gives for or against the others. The authors' research in this area is reviewed, and a novel person-event-person model is proposed. The model is simplified and some of its properties are studied.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":368020,"journal":{"name":"[1988] Proceedings. Since these operators are situated between the fuzzy logical connective 'and' modeled by a t-norm and the connective 'or' modeled by a t-conorm, their parametric dependence tells how near they are from these two connectives and allows families of mixed connectives to be considered. It is shown that circuits for conversion of logical values that are usually realized using complicated circuit configurations can be replaced by simple circuits with this approach. The technique of charge control that is presented here is similar to that used as the method of precharge in the usual dynamic-type MOS memory devices. The table is defined so that its information loss is zero and it satisfies ambiguity monotonicity. Any action in the ambiguity decision table is represented by a P-ternary logic function. It is shown that the logic formula of a P-ternary logic function can uniquely be derived from the disjoint of all prime implicants of a Boolean function. It is proved that by this rule, one p-valued function is derived from one (2, p)-function uniquely. The relationship between some classes of (2, p) functions and the classes of p-valued functions derived from them is clarified. Especially important is the result that all the p-valued unate functions are derived from monotonic (2, p)-functions, all the p-valued majority functions are derived from (2, p)-threshold functions, and all the p-valued functions derived from nonmonotonic (2, p)-functions can be expressed by logical formulae using only AND, OR, constants, and certain variables.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":368020,"journal":{"name":"[1988] Proceedings. This operator, called the decisive difference and denoted (-), is particularly useful for multivalued stuck-at fault detection experiments. The (-) operator is used in the definition of functional transformations called partial differences. Basic properties of partial differences are presented, and it is shown how they can be used to find stuck-at fault sets of tests for sum-of-products form functions in the chain lattice algebra. The method uses strictly algebraic manipulation rather than exhaustive map searching. Partial differences can also be used to find sets of tests for internal and multiple stuck-at faults. Multivalued derivatives described by several other authors and Boolean differences are special cases of partial differences.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":368020,"journal":{"name":"[1988] Proceedings.
