Store staffs have to check detail information manually or through the barcode system. Hence, human error may frequently happen due to incorrect information to the stock control or management control. Therefore, it is essential to propose an assistive system with instant information was developed. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) will be the best solution to overcome the limitation because it is a wireless technology which works by transmits via radio waves and not function in the sense of light. Base on study conducted, a Portable Device for Stock Identification System (PDSIS) is invented to identifying items or stock information by applying RFID technology. This device is developed with display system as user indicator to print out item information read from database and keypad input for data retrieval into memory storage. This device also developed for handheld features which is has medium size that portable to the user to bring anywhere without limitation. A few analyses were conducted based on the endurance testing in term of performance, accuracy and efficiency. In summary, this automatic portable device helps user to identify items for stock management in a short time instead limitation of manual method.","PeriodicalId":367680,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130832225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, research on the effect of the magnetic fields on human's health is not yet conclusive. Instead of letting the magnetic fields emit by the electrical appliances be wasted, this paper aims to use the magnetic fields to classify or identify the electrical appliances being used. Table fans, blenders and hairdryers are the electrical appliances used for this purpose where they are divided into three different categories of usage i.e. (i) used less than 1year (ii) used between 1 to 5 years and (iii) used more than 5 years. The magnetic fields are measured from all the nine appliances. Then, the features of the magnetic fields are extracted and trained offline using the Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN). From the results, it is shown that the PNN is able to identify the type of electrical appliance being used regardless of the appliances years of usage using magnetic fields emitted by the appliances.","PeriodicalId":367680,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122069338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Usually, to prevent theft, a physical type countermeasure is used such as padlock, disk break lock and other more which is a preventive action but it is not enough safe. The objective of this study is to create a controllable system that can display the location of a vehicle using Global position system (GPS) to pin point the location and Global System for Mobile (GSM) as a mean for communicating with the vehicle for ease of finding after a theft attempt. The system is made to test the accuracy of the location that is send to the user when the vehicle is in motion and stationary in the city and suburb. The system is made by combining a micro controller with GPS and GSM, then comparing it with other similar device available in the market like Garmin and a reference website to find the radius of error. The study of proposed device begins by studying IEEE journal about alternative product and the vehicle itself. The hardware and program development is done by research and trial and error as the controller do not interact with both module at the same time, after successfully programming both module, it is combined into a single program with addition of interrupt program. The experiment is done in three set of tests so that the system accuracy can be determine when stationary and in motion on vehicle, output controlling is the test to determine if the controller can be made into anti-theft system. The result of the test concludes that the system can provide standard GPS coordinate when requested via Short Message Service (SMS). The system can also be used to control an actuator.","PeriodicalId":367680,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132177667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The minimum vertex-colouring problem is known as NP-hard problem in an arbitrary graph. In this paper a graph colouring algorithm based on modified incidence matrix is proposed for resolving Physical Cell ID (PCI) allocation for large-scale femtocell deployment in LTE Telecommunication Networks. The proposed algorithm is not specified for neighbours only, but additionally can deal with neighbours of neighbours' objects due to telecommunication requirements. Our results show that by applying proper searching and assigning methods it is possible to achieve satisfactory results for resource allocation in large and complex networks such as resolving PCI allocation and conflict for large femtocells deployment in LTE Networks.","PeriodicalId":367680,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121764224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to ensure the UAiCs operates safely, effective path planning and also any rules of regulation governing flight within the Department of Civil Aviation need to consider. The first step in photogrammetric project is a flight planning. In order to get an optimum profit by using the new technology, good preparation of an efficient flight plan needs to be implemented. When planning a flight for aerial photography purposes, GPS technology cannot be considered separately because, as shown in the market today, GPS technology has proven successfully used in photogrammetric project. Nowadays, mostly all the small unmanned aircraft has designed for aerial photography attached together with GPS and also flight computer that used as control station. In order to use this system effectively, first and foremost the basic principle in calculating and preparing flight lines needs to be excellent [1]. The aim of this paper is to analyze the important parameter in order to show the computational step for UAiCs flight mission planning. Then, as a result this paper look into the analysis of flight path planning parameter more detail and deeply and determine the important parameter that need to emphasize in order to implement a good flight planning.","PeriodicalId":367680,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115022788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
