The proposed measures adopt the shortest path between synsets in WordNet as the core to measure the relatedness between two sentences. The interlinked synsets in WordNet are based on the conceptual-semantic relation between two synsets. Thus the distance between two synsets in WordNet can be used to measure the semantic relatedness between two synsets. This study derived a sentence-level semantic relatedness using this feature to detect paraphrasing among sentences. The performance of the proposed semantic relatedness in paraphrasing is evaluated based on the accuracy and F-measures of the proposed measures in identifying paraphrase in Microsoft Research Paraphrase Corpus. The proposed method achieved 71.1% in accuracy and 81.8% in F-measures. The performance of the proposed method is compared with 6 paraphrase detection methods which include Salient Semantic Analysis and Second-order Co-occurrence Pointwise Mutual Information. In the comparison, the proposed method achieved the fourth highest accuracy and the second highest F-measure compare to other methods. This is a reasonable performance for the proposed semantic relatedness in paraphrase detection.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"187 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120871465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We note that a circular cone of light projected onto the region where the floor and the wall meet produces two intersecting ellipses in the image. We detect the two ellipses from the image and estimate the line that separates them, which we regard as the floor-wall boundary. We also summarize a method for computing the distance between the robot and the detected floor-wall boundary. We developed an autonomous robot system and tested our proposed method in a real environment. From the results, we realized autonomous robot control and confirmed the efficiency of our method.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121307839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also in jam factories, the visual inspection by inspectors has been strengthened. However, it is difficult to remove the foreign substances perfectly because they are stained with fruit juice and their color becomes similar to the jam. To overcome the problem, we have proposed the functional illuminant that emphasizes the color difference between jams and foreign substances for the visual inspection. Our previous method for developing the functional illuminant is time consuming to design spectrum. Moreover, this method has low flexibility because it designs an illuminant whose spectrum is produced by a combination of only three types of LEDs, and it has a constraint that the color of the illuminant must be specified before designing. In this study, we propose a new method that formulates the design procedure as an optimization problem solved by NLP (nonlinear programming). The proposed method can combine more than three types of LEDs. Furthermore, our method does not require a constraint for the color of the illuminant. As a result, the color difference by the functional illuminant designed by the proposed method is bigger than the previous method.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"311 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114595762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In every technology, data becomes the most important asset to be protected. Many encryption algorithms are widely available and used in information security. Encryption can provide secure information across platform. Encryption algorithms are classified into two groups: symmetric-key (also called secret-key) and asymmetric-key (also called public-key). Generally, asymmetric-key encryption is used along side symmetric-key encryption to get the best performance of data transfer. Earlier many researchers have proposed various encryption algorithms such as AES, DES, Blowfish, etc. However, as security level is increasing, the time and complexity of algorithm is also increasing. This is the major cause of decreasing the speed and efficiency of the encryption system. In this paper we have proposed a new encryption algorithm “Double Chaining Algorithm (DCA)” which enhances the security performance. The DCA is a symmetric-key encryption algorithm that uses 128-256 bits key size. This algorithm uses XOR operation for the chaining process so that it has small complexity and can be implemented easily in hardware mode to increase its encryption process. This paper is an attempt to invent a new encryption model which is secure and very fast. The average Avalanche Effect in this algorithm is 0.996 out of 1.00. Moreover, the experiment and analysis result gives further proof of the DCA's strength.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"165 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133697926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model depends on experimental (or simulated) output characteristics of load and driver transistors separately as an input data. This model used in this research to investigate the effect of length (L), oxide thickness (Tox) and numbers of nanowires in P and N-channel SiNWT on the NW-CMOS inverter output and current characteristics. This study used MuGFET simulation tool to produce the output characteristics of SiNWT which used as input to a designed MATLAB software to calculate the characteristics of NW-CMOS. A story is precisely contained of emotion. That is why emotion can be recognized in a short story. The aim of this research is to recognize the one most dominant emotion in short story. This research used Paul Ekman's basic emotions, which are angry, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise. The method that was used in this research was hybrid method, a combination of keyword spotting technique and learning-based method. Keyword spotting technique utilized words in NRC Emotion Lexicon which initially were translated from English to Indonesian. On the other hand, learning-based method used three algorithms, those were Multinomial Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Naïve Bayes Multinomial. Those three alghorithms used instance sentences in short story. Hybrid method implemented voting rule to determine the one most dominant emotion. The accuracy of hybrid method resulted in this research was 63.33%.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"217 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128167403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This task aims to extract fine-grained aspects from online customer reviews, which is a challenging task. Most of the early work focused on the extraction of subjective aspects associated with some opinion words but very few have focused on objective aspects. These objective aspects can affect the overall performance of the aspect extraction task resulting in wrong results. In this paper, we proposed a sequential pattern-based approach to detect such aspects which are objective in nature. We defined several sequential patterns, on the basis of word occurrence in a sentence, to detect objective aspects. The experimental evaluation demonstrated significant improvement in the aspect extraction phase by pruning such aspects which are objective in nature.","PeriodicalId":367414,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127127669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
