It focuses on academic self-efficacy, cognitive style, motivation for cooperative playful learning, and their interplay in fostering creativity within vocational education. Employing a quantitative research approach, data from vocational program students were gathered through self-report questionnaires. Path analysis was utilized to examine the direct connections between independent factors (academic self-efficacy, cognitive style, playful learning motivation) and the growth of innovative skills. Additionally, a mediation study explored the impact of encouraging creativity on these associations. Results highlighted the robust positive influence of academic self-efficacy on innovation skill development, indicating that higher self-efficacy correlates with greater innovative abilities. Cognitive style exhibited a nuanced impact: the knowing style hindered while the developing style enhanced innovative skills. Motivation for cooperative playful learning significantly bolstered innovation skill development, showcasing a link between playful learning inclination and heightened innovative talents. Notably, fostering creativity in vocational education significantly mediated these relationships, enhancing the positive effects of self-efficacy, creative style, and playful motivation while exacerbating the negative impact of the knowing style on innovative skills. The study underscores the importance of nurturing self-efficacy, promoting playful learning environments, and accommodating cognitive style preferences to enhance innovative skills in vocational education. It contributes valuable insights tailored to the Chinese educational context, offering practical implications for educational policies aiming to foster innovation in vocational settings.","PeriodicalId":36631,"journal":{"name":"Educational Administration: Theory and Practice","volume":"33 28","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138601571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study investigates the relationship between design thinking-driven innovation education and the training model of inventive talents, with an emphasis on the mediating influence of student involvement and the moderating effect of blockchain technological background. A survey questionnaire was used to collect data from 325 higher education institute students in Hunan, China, and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the results. The findings suggest that design thinking-driven innovation education has a favorable impact on the training model of inventive abilities, and that student involvement mediates this relationship. However, the moderating influence of blockchain technology's backdrop was not supported. These findings show the efficacy of adding design thinking into innovation education as well as the significance of encouraging student engagement. The study's cross-sectional design and small sample size limit it, and future research could use longitudinal designs and larger sample sizes. Overall, this study adds to our understanding of how design thinking-driven innovation education can support the development of innovative skills, and how student engagement is critical in this process.","PeriodicalId":36631,"journal":{"name":"Educational Administration: Theory and Practice","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139241936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

College students from three representative colleges in Weifang, Shandong Province, were selected through intentional sampling, and an electronic questionnaire was distributed to them. The Willingness to Communicate Scale, Perceived Teacher Charisma Scale, and English Learning Attitudes Scale were employed for measurement, with all scales being scored on a 5-point Likert scale. In total, 654 valid responses were collected for analysis (61.5% freshmen and 64.1% women). Structural equation modeling was used to examine the direct and mediating effects between the variables. The college students’ perception of the degree to which their teacher was charismatic was discovered to have a positive effect on the students’ willingness to communicate in English. Learning attitude was found to positively affect willingness to communicate in English. Moreover, learning attitude fully mediated the relationship between perceived teacher charisma and willingness to communicate. This paper makes recommendations for teachers, educational institutions, and future research.","PeriodicalId":36631,"journal":{"name":"Educational Administration: Theory and Practice","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139238822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
