They are bluish grey spots typically located in the lumbosacral region, which tend to regress in the first years of life. As skin lesions are frequent signs in infant maltreatment, Mongolian spots can be misinterpreted as ecchymoses, which would lead to a false diagnosis. This can culminate in serious and dramatic consequences for the patient and family, as well as overloading the public system. Therefore, it is essential that health professionals know how to differentiate Mongolian stains from injuries resulting from child abuse. This study aims to describe a case that was mistakenly attributed to mistreatment for the presence of Mongolian spots in atypical places.","PeriodicalId":366101,"journal":{"name":"Perspectivas em medicina legal e pericias medicas","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130516921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"A PRESUNÇÃO DO NEXO CAUSAL ENTRE COVID-19 E ATIVIDADES DO SETOR DE SAÚDE NO BRASIL","authors":"","doi":"10.47005/060102","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.47005/060102","url":null,"abstract":"RESUMO Com a pandemia da COVID-19, muitas dúvidas têm surgido a respeito do seu enquadramento como doença ocupacional no setor de saúde, sujeito a maior risco de contaminação. Estima-se que 10-20% do total de contaminados pelo SARS-CoV-2 sejam profissionais de saúde. Nesse contexto, tem-se perguntado se é possível presumir que eventual adoecimento desses profissionais seja decorrente de suas atividades laborais. O presente artigo buscou respostas através de pesquisa bibliográfica, não sistemática, a periódicos, normas legais e jurisprudência sobre o tema, constantes na plataforma Google, utilizando as palavravas-chave “COVID-19”, “nexo causal”, “doença ocupacional”, no período de 02/2020 a 02/2021. A partir da problemática posta (adoecimento de profissionais de saúde por COVID-19), buscou-se verificar a possibilidade de presumir o nexo causal com o labor, à luz do ordenamento jurídico atual. No Brasil, a presunção do nexo, nos termos da Lei no 8.213/91, ocorre nas doenças profissionais, listadas no rol taxativo do Anexo II do Decreto no 3.048/99, e pelo nexo técnico epidemiológico previdenciário estabelecido na lista C do Anexo II do Decreto no 3.048/99. Em ambas as hipóteses, a COVID-19 ainda não encontra abrigo para estabelecer a referida presunção, até o presente momento (28/02/2021). Hara, Sonia Zago","doi":"10.47005/210713","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.47005/210713","url":null,"abstract":"Some pathologies generate the need for important social support. In Brazil, the federal constitution provides for social coverage and health care for the entire population. Social assistance, often made possible through social security benefits, can be provided by the National Institute of Social Service (INSS). Open data on these benefits with information on expanded data are available. We highlight here two groups of pathologies that have different profiles in Brazil, but which are often the subject of expert evaluation, due to their clinical characteristics and impact on patients' quality of life: Pneumoconiosis and Cystic Fibrosis. Objectives: to analyze benefits granted by the INSS in 2019 for Pneumoconiosis and Cystic Fibrosis. Methods: Open data were collected, with analysis in Excel® and SPSS, regarding gender, state, age, type of benefits and ICD 10. Results: 215 benefits were granted for Pneumoconiosis in 21 states, 45% were employed and 50% were granted as work-related. 121 benefits were granted for Cystic Fibrosis in the period. 10 states concentrate 83% of the benefits and 43% were granted to children up to 10 years of age and 9% to those over 51 years of age. Conclusions: Information from open social security data in Brazil can contribute to the regional expert analysis of pathologies characterized as incapacitating, in addition to contributing to the understanding of a change in the regional epidemiological profile of diseases, and enriching the structuring, more frequently providing epidemiological data to official bodies and the adoption of public policies.","PeriodicalId":366101,"journal":{"name":"Perspectivas em medicina legal e pericias medicas","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124304939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
