This study explains the hypothesis of lumbar burden reduction by pelvic belt and shows that pelvic tightening reduces lumbar joint flexion. The posture correction degree is proportional to the amount of reduction in the lumbar burden. By conducting a motion measurement, the posture correction index indicates the assistance effect. From the measurement using motion capture and force platform for 86 people, we developed a mathematical model that estimates the posture correction index from CoP change.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"2 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114111655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The deadbeat controller is an attractive control solution for many applications where the fast transient response is required. The main idea behind the deadbeat control is to drive the system from any arbitrary initial state to a desired final state infinite number of time steps. Computer simulations investigate the performance of the proposed deadbeat technique for the T-type inverter. It is shown that the output voltage amplitude and frequency are kept constant under various load types, including linear and nonlinear loads. Furthermore, the total harmonic distortion of the output voltage is within the international standards.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115457070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The improvement is based on the incorporation of the steady state model of the rotor flux oriented vector drive into the scalar drive. This is achieved by dropping the time varying terms in the dynamic vector model of the motor to zero and then merging the reduced model into the scalar model. As a result, it becomes possible to formulate close form expressions for the stator voltages encapsulating the motor parameters and to keep the magnetizing current constant without putting any constraint on the voltage to frequency ratio. As a result, the magnetizing current can be controlled more precisely in a close loop scalar control drive with speed feedback, and it becomes feasible to start the motor with full load torque applied which is difficult to achieve in the conventional scalar control. Simulation and experimental results are presented using a fractional horsepower squirrel cage induction motor coupled to a dc generator. A comparison of the proposed drive with the conventional scalar drive is also given.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123245551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, at high switching frequencies, the efficiency significantly differs depending on the WBG semiconductor used. This article presents an extensive comparison between gallium nitride (GaN), and silicon carbide (SiC) devices in terms of efficiency. The impact of the switching frequency is evaluated for each semiconductor using two modulation techniques: the classical space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique, and the innovative hexagonal sigma-delta modulation (H-∑Δ). The performance and losses of both WBG technologies are analysed here using Matlab/Simulink and PLECS. Experimental results performed on two VSC converters, one based on SiC devices and the other made using GaN transistors, show the influence of the semiconductor technology and the modulation strategy on the efficiency at high switching frequencies.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124674663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For improving the plant yield although partially shaded, a reconfiguration of the panel's connection is performed. Several reconfiguration algorithms are published, and a switch matrix is controlled providing panels interconnectivity. However, these algorithms are based on measurements made on each panel of the farm providing the solar radiation on it, its output voltage, and current. This conventional method needs a complex and expensive installation of a great number of instruments, it requires also regular maintenance. This research aims to find a low-cost and spacesaving reconfiguration method using the least possible measuring devices. A feed-forward neural network is developed to estimate the shading rate of each PV zone using meteorological data and sun position. It is found that training a regression model responds better to the problem. Also, training a feed-forward neural network with the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm proves to be efficient in terms of stability, speed, and convergence with a small error.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124815326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when 3D CAD meshes are used in AR, embedding them in computationally light AR devices is a challenging task, since such models may be highly detailed, involving up to millions of mesh vertices. In such cases, a possible solution would be to replace the original models by some simplified versions. The crucial challenge is to preserve the quality of the models, while ensuring a fluid rendering on the AR devices, at the usual rates of 30-60 frames per second. In this paper, we analyze different simplification techniques available in the literature and select the most suited technique for CAD models, based on a detailed experimental evaluation.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122076794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the higher system efficiency and reduced device stress, LLC converter is generally considered to be a better choice over DAB type. However, CLLC type converter with integrated transformer and resonant tank for high power density application (integrated magnetics) has issues for bi-directional operation with high input-output voltage variation range. To address these issues a reconfigurable bi-directional LLC (RC-LLC) converter is proposed. The proposed converter has a bidirectional feature like a CLLC type with a linear output voltage variation range for a wider range of gain variation. Detailed analytical study to calculate the resonant tank gain for both LCC and CLLC type bi-directional configuration is presented in this paper. Results from the analytical study is then used for a detailed system design and simulation studies for a 15 kW, 600V to 600 V RC-LLC system application. The proposed system also helps to reduce the system cost by 27% as compared to the conventional system.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122536620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This has motivated a complete a shift in the CIRES design and its corresponding control philosophy. Integrating Energy Storage Systems (ESS) within CIRES enables the implementation of different operating modes allowing them to provide ancillary services (AS) in a similar way to the synchronous generation. In order to tackle with those short-term response AS, such as virtual inertia, fast ESS (FESS) solutions with high power-to-energy ratio, particularly flywheels and supercapacitors, are preferred. In spite of several control algorithms have been proposed to provide such fast AS, very little research effort has been paid on the proper FESS energy recovery after the AS provision. This task is particularly challenging, since supercapacitors must be operated at a certain state of charge to guarantee that the required AS can be provided within its operational limits. This paper aims to fill this gap by proposing a new energy recovery control scheme for supercapacitors after the provision of short-term AS, such as virtual inertia. The proposed control is validated via simulations which clearly highlights its adequate performance.","PeriodicalId":365956,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122652261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
