The presented drivetrain concepts should lead to reduction of CO2 emission what is one of the most important goals of future transportation. Comparison between parallel and series hybrid drivetrain is specially delivered. The series hybrid drivetrain could be efficient alternative to parallel one. Such drivetrain concept, where electric drivetrain can be separated from power unit, can be adapted for fuel cell vehicle or battery electric vehicle. The land use and building new transport infrastructure is relatively long process, which is based on legislation. On the other hand novel mobility concepts like “Mobility as a Service - MaaS”, in which a comprehensive range of mobility services (including public transport, private cars, cycles etc.) are provided to customers by the mobility operator, rely on rapidly evolving technology. This paper, based on authors master's thesis (Rantasila, 2015), studies links between one MaaS and land use in Finland by examining the potential impacts of MaaS on land use. Viotto","doi":"10.1109/SMART.2015.7399236","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SMART.2015.7399236","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents a novel gearshift controller to improve longitudinal acceleration and driver comfort of fully electric vehicles consisting of two drivetrains, one per each axle. In particular, a torque-fill controller is developed to provide seamless gearshifts on one axle by varying the torque on the other axle. The developed controller was experimentally tested on a prototype vehicle.
