Undergraduate and postgraduate were surveyed to find their perspectives about online education in Pakistan. The findings of the study highlighted that online learning cannot produce desired results in underdeveloped countries like Pakistan, where a vast majority of students are unable to access the internet due to technical as well as monetary issues. The lack of face-to-face interaction with the instructor, response time and absence of traditional classroom socialization were among some other issues highlighted by higher education students.","PeriodicalId":365567,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125043898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mašát, Johana Hřivnová","doi":"10.33902/jpsp.2020161105","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33902/jpsp.2020161105","url":null,"abstract":"The paper presents a communication concept of teaching with a focus on teaching Literary Education. In the article, we present in more detail a research survey involving a total of 16 humanities teachers, which examined the current state of communication between pupils and teachers: the data were obtained from an analysis of teaching videos that preceded the observation of teaching. The analysis of the video recordings was supplemented by interviews with the teachers who led the lessons and student questionnaires, which served as a tool for data triangulation. Based on the analysis of the results, the authors present a generally tuned model of good educational communication, in the center of which should be a balanced distribution of power forces (i.e. the role of the teacher and the position of students). The implementation of the communication concept in real teaching can lead to a deeper and more comprehensive interpretation of artistic narratives, it can develop the pupil´s personality and can enrich the teacher. The communication conception of teaching forms the starting point for an innovative conception of Literary Education, which builds on the thesis that text (artistic narrative) is in the center of literature teaching. It is the communication between the teacher, the pupil and the text that is the basis of creative literary expressivity, the gros of contemporary Literary Education according to the didactics of literature.","PeriodicalId":365567,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology","volume":"32 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116385408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The survey sample consisted of four secondary and preparatory schools, four school principals, four school continuous professional development (CPD) coordinators, one CPD focal person and 198 teachers. The major findings of the study were 1) there was positive perception of teachers toward school based CPD program in the study area, and 2) even though teachers have positively perceived but the practice of CPD program implementation is at low level in the sampled school. As the findings of the study confirmed, teachers’ lack of support from school management and supervisors, and lack of collaboration with teachers and school leaders were among the factors that affected the implementation of CPD program in the stduyarea.The study also indicate as teachers with more teaching experience relatively positively perceive the programs and teachers with 2nd degree holders practice more CPD activities than 1st degree holders in the study area. On the basis of these results, some suggested were recommended for policy makers and future research.","PeriodicalId":365567,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115547924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adopting a mixed approach, a total of 232 of which 122 female participants were selected from different categories of health professions in the Hospital by employing stratified random sampling technique specially, proportional sampling technique. Stratifications were based on field of study/training, sex, age, and work experience. The study employed Descriptive survey design with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative data were collected via perception towards Disabled People scale (ATDP) and self-developed questionnaire whereas qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interview. Quantitative data were analyzed by using SPSS 20, frequency, mean, t-test and one way ANOVA were employed .In addition, thematic analysis was conducted for qualitative data in order to triangulate the quantitative data. The results showed that there was no medical services discrimination between patients with disability patients without disability. Independent samples t-test result revealed that there was no statistically significant mean differences of perception across sex. However, analysis of one way ANOVA indicated that there is a statistically significant mean difference of perception across age and work experience. Finally, the researchers recommended based on the findings of the study such as organizing recognition giving programs for participants who make the service delivery inclusive for patients with disability have been forwarded.","PeriodicalId":365567,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology","volume":"132 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114098682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
