The Holy Qur'an has not allowed these people to enter and occupy their property due to the possibility of loss. On the other hand, the Qur'an has also mentioned the preservation of the human dignity of these people. In Afghanistan civil law, mentally disabled people or so-called fools are referred to with the word Mahjoor and, like the Holy Quran, they are not allowed to enter and occupy their property. Both in the Qur'an and in the law, the choice of a guardian or guardian has been given, and the powers of their property have been entrusted to the guardian. Using descriptive and analytical methods, this article has analyzed the defined responsibility of society towards mentally retarded people as a subset of Safha in the Qur'an and the Afghan Civil Code. Finally, it was found that there are shortcomings in Afghan’s civil rights against the daily needs of mentally challenged people, which are generally mentioned in the Qur'an, but ignored in the law.","PeriodicalId":363339,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Higher Education and Development Studies (JHEDS)","volume":"124 27","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140987154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Older adults in Pakistan experience insecurity due to a number of social and economic causes. In such situations, when conventional family care is unavailable or the elderly lack resources like housing, old age homes offer services to the elderly. The present quantitative study aimed to ascertain the demographic profile of the elderly population residing in an old age home or Aafiat, investigate the factors that contribute to their residence in an old age home, examine the physical and mental health challenges experienced by those receiving residential care, and find out the elderly population's satisfaction level with the services provided by the old age home. However, this article merely addressed the issues with older people's physical and mental health and how satisfied they were with the services and facilities the old age home offered. It was a cross-sectional study, and in order to gather data, interviews were conducted with each of the 25 inmates who were present at the Lahore old age home/Aafiat. According to the findings, the majority of respondents expressed high satisfaction with the level of services received; however, the data revealed that the elderly in the old age home experienced several challenges linked to their physical and mental health.","PeriodicalId":363339,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Higher Education and Development Studies (JHEDS)","volume":" 430","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140989987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Devil on the Cross by Ngugi Wa Thiong'o and Our Lady of Alice Bhatti by Muhammad Hanif are the subjects of this inquiry. The objectification theory by Nussbaum and Langton is utilised in this study. Sexual objectification and self-objectification can be distinguished from one another in a major and distinct way. Concerning sexual abuse, women have issues in patriarchal societies. They suffer from other types of societal harassment. They adopt this attitude from the culture and behave in a way that is congruent with what is expected of them by patriarchal society. This study investigates both authors' socialist concerns to discover the idea of objectification. It demonstrates the position of women in both African and Pakistani societies. Additionally, it demonstrates how harsh patriarchal society is. By examining the difficulties in this area, the current study exposes all the factors that contribute to the marginalisation and discrimination of women. The aim of the study is to investigate how objectified women are treated in these novels. The study goals are to examine how Christians in general and lower-class women in particular, Alice Bhatti and Warinnga, are devalued in society. Qualitative research is employed to examine these problems. The study comes to the conclusion that Alice Bhatti and Warinnga are socially marginalised due to their gender, caste, and religion. They are both portrayed as weak, pathetic creatures with no sense of identity.","PeriodicalId":363339,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Higher Education and Development Studies (JHEDS)","volume":" May","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140989657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The CPEC is a giant economic and infrastructural developmental project that connects China's Xinjiang region with Pakistan's Gwadar Port in Baluchistan. It is a central constituent of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The regime change and the Taliban rule in Afghanistan has maximized worries about the security, economic and political stability of the region, as well as the future of CPEC. This abrupt change in the region has raised crucial apprehensions about the potential for increased regional uncertainties, particularly given the historical animosity between the Pakistan and the Afghan government on Durand Line, and other security misunderstandings. This, in turn, may impact CPEC as well multilateral relation between China, Afghanistan, Pakistan and their relationship with other regional powers and which would further complicate CPEC’s progress. This paper analyzes the geopolitical impacts of regime change in Afghanistan on CPEC, including security concerns, potential disruptions to supply chains, changes in economic and political relationships, and the uncertain nature of the new Afghan government's relationship with China and Pakistan. The paper also examines the potential impacts of geopolitical tensions between China and the US during its stay in Afghanistan and after withdrawal. By analyzing these factors, the paper aims to provide insights into the future of CPEC and its role in shaping the economic and political landscape of the region.\u0000 ","PeriodicalId":363339,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Higher Education and Development Studies (JHEDS)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132385977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
