It is also the continuation of another forthcoming article (2019). First of all, it starts with a description of these lexical items in context; next, there is a contrastive analysis with similar diachronic corpora using different lexicographical sources. It also offers some information on the current uses of the words in the area, based on information obtained through field surveys. Thus, this lexical repertoire provides a better characterization of the current use of this linguistic variety from the diachronical and diatopic point of view.","PeriodicalId":36202,"journal":{"name":"Philologia Hispalensis","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87577715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We will show, that the process is not only relatively abrupt, but also follows a lexical diffusion depending on the frequency of the lexemes in question. The graphemes are probably the most eyecatching characteristic of Leonese scriptae, their eventual substitution by Castilian graphemes of the type therefore provides the researcher with an excellent basis for the investigation of the mentioned castilianization. The arrival of Castilian writing systems in the –then former– Kingdom of Leon marks the first step towards a Castilian (later Spanish) written language in what later on will be the Realm of the Kingdom of Spain.","PeriodicalId":36202,"journal":{"name":"Philologia Hispalensis","volume":"83 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91338563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Important issues regarding the nature and duties of history were involved in this debate, which also had a significant impact on the idea of the historian as an author and on subjectivity and bias in historical narrative. In this article I will consider these particular aspects of the debate in the theoretical treatises written by Agostino Mascardi (1636), Jeronimo de San Jose (1651) and Pierre Le Moyne (1670).","PeriodicalId":36202,"journal":{"name":"Philologia Hispalensis","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81810048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This literary motif already echoed in Classical Antiquity, but, for the research that concerns us, we will focus on its development in 17th century anti-courtly literature, since it was the period when the playwright Luis Velez de Guevara (1579-1644) lived. The Baroque theater had an interesting component of criticism, as it was considered a powerful tool for the transmission of ideas and, therefore, it would be an ideal way to denounce this situation that they could, most probably, personally live and, consequently, report the real face of the court.","PeriodicalId":36202,"journal":{"name":"Philologia Hispalensis","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82404175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

V. Marcial a Don Manuel Fermin de Laviano , a satire written by Juan Pablo Forner. First, we read the text in its context: the development of the theatrical career of Manuel Fermin de Laviano between 1779 and 1783 and the regal celebrations of August and September 1783. Second, we edit the Carta , after we have compared its two manuscript testimonies. Third, we comment this text as a result of an erudite answer of rejection against the strategies of self-representation as an author made by Laviano, in order to expose himself as a cultured writer. At last, we focus on the relevance of this Carta as a testimony of the Spanish literary controversies from XVIIIth century, which are characterized by the neoclassical paradigm that rules over the writing process as an access to the cultured literary circles.","PeriodicalId":36202,"journal":{"name":"Philologia Hispalensis","volume":"2013 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87730263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
