This paper aims to investigate how the Executive Secretary professional can manage his Emotional Intelligence to contribute to the quality of their performance in organization. Therefore, a bibliographic survey and a field research was made, having as theoretical propositions of Daniel Goleman on Emotional Intelligence. The research was made at the Federal University of Ceara, using as instrument to collect data a semi-structured questionnaire directed to Executive Secretaries who work in this institution. It was study that, reason and emotion walk together, for more rational it seems, a decision is also moved by the emotional. Nascimento, Silvana Lino Batista","doi":"10.48075/REVEX.V10I1.6097","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.48075/REVEX.V10I1.6097","url":null,"abstract":"O presente trabalho apresenta resultados de uma investigacao realizada sobre a estrutura semântico-argumentativa do genero textual/discursivo Relatorio, um dos textos do universo empresarial/oficial. Para fundamentar a investigacao, utilizamos como suporte teorico-metodologico as Teorias da Argumentacao na Lingua, de Oswald Ducrot (1988) e colaboradores, e da Modalizacao, a partir de Castilho e Castilho (1993), Neves (2000) e Nascimento (2005). Essas teorias explicam como um locutor, ou responsavel pelo discurso, utiliza a linguagem para expressar posicionamentos e agir com relacao a seu interlocutor, a fim de expressar determinadas intencoes ou obter determinados objetivos. O corpus da pesquisa foi extraido da Internet e trata-se de relatorios produzidos por conselhos, associacoes, empresas publicas e privadas. Inicialmente, foram identificados os elementos linguistico-discursivos que demarcam argumentatividade no texto e, em seguida, foi descrito seu funcionamento semântico-discursivo, a fim de identificar que efeitos de sentido foram gerados a partir da utilizacao desses elementos. For that, initially, from a literature research, was identified the marketing initiatives for educational area and some suggested models to attractiveness of students. A metodologia utilizada foi uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva a partir de levantamento bibliografico e estudo de campo. A abordagem teorica fundamentou-se em autores como Freire (2004, 2006), Veiga (2006) e Pimenta e Lima (2006), entre outros. A investigacao foi desenvolvida com a participacao de sete estudantes do curso de Secretariado Executivo da Universidade. As tecnicas de pesquisa utilizadas para o levantamento das informacoes foram a entrevista e o questionario. A interpretacao dos dados foi feita por meio da Analise do Conteudo.
