Inquiry-based learning (IBL), thanks to its well-rooted fundamentals, can be considered a potential approach to addressing challenges in many effective ways. IBL is a learning and teaching process that focuses on using questions as an initial point in learning; learners are immersed in the process of generating and posing questions to find the truth, information, or knowledge through hands-on activities performed by learners themselves with teachers’ guidance on the side. The primary aim of the present study was to find out learners’ perceptions of IBL implementation. The study exposed 26 Iraqi EFL learners to the approach and investigated the participant’s opinions and perceptions of the approach implementation. To collect data, participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire with particular reference to the effects of IBL on students’ class engagement, prior knowledge activation, student-centered environment promotion, and cultivation of 21st-century skills. Results highlight students’ positive preferences toward IBL implementation.","PeriodicalId":360663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences & Educational Studies","volume":"162 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115179673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose of this movement is to save people from the tutelage and immaturity. In fact, where the process in which people use their own minds begins, the history of humanity underwent radical changes with the influence of other movements. In the environment where human societies and the systems that serve the society, underwent great changes, the education sector also went through the same processes. Post-enlightenment education, as a requirement of the main argument of enlightenment, was personalized and focused on the development of the individual. Educational models after this process have been in the understanding of educating people who are democratic, secular and fulfill their responsibilities towards their society and state. In addition, different philosophies and approaches in education emerged during this period. Contrary to previous periods, education has spread to the whole society and has been determined as a right that everyone will benefit equally.","PeriodicalId":360663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences & Educational Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133766865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to explore these factors and their impact on the acceptance of the positive side of science and technology. Data from the World Values survey seventh wave was taken to analyze the same. A total of 59 countries’ data was available with 40,643 male and 44,724 female respondents. The Independent Sample T Test and ANOVA were used to explore the variances. A cross National examination was conducted where it was explored that there were significant levels of acceptance among the 59 countries based on the Mean values of the variable Science and Technology are making our lives healthier, easier, and more comfortable besides, it was found that education plays a significant role in shaping an individual's perspective towards science and technology. Those with higher levels of education tend to have a more positive view and are more likely to accept science and technology in their lives. Age was also found to be a significant factor, with older individuals being less likely to embrace modern technologies compared to younger individuals. Gender was found to have a weaker impact on the acceptance of science and technology, with the research indicating that both men and women can have either a positive or negative view of it. The research concludes that education appears to be the most significant factor influencing the acceptance of science and technology, followed by age, with gender having a weaker impact. Policymakers need to understand these factors and work towards increasing science and technology literacy in order to facilitate its widespread adoption.","PeriodicalId":360663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences & Educational Studies","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122088835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, computer and internet addiction emerged in some children. The only observed positive effect of the process was on the environment. Due to the slowdown in industrial activities, some positive improvements were seen in nature again.","PeriodicalId":360663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences & Educational Studies","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125224505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
