The analysis revealed certain cases, patterns, and phenomena that could be described as regular. The research featured several communities in the VKontakte social network connected with the Kemerovo State University. The online discourse demonstrated some linguistic peculiarities. The main discussion topics differed in values, judgments, emotional tone, creativity, and self-expression: academic process, life management, relationships (friendship, love, and family), health, existential issues (social role and future), and social criticism. The functions involved identification, information, affiliation, psychotherapy, and creativity. By learning the features of online communication, academic staff can develop effective and consistent communication with students. The informal linguistic environment of social nets contains extralinguistic factors that manifest themselves in online discourse and reveals the ideology of young people, their values, attitudes, and opinions on important matters.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114697699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors studied ideologemes in blogs published on the Yandex.Zen platform to identify their role in the discursive modeling of the social and personal opinions of the blogger, the recipient, and the political referents. The category of interpersonality revealed two models associated with the transformation of meaning. The first group was connected with recontextualization and included mocking, comparison, and referent replacement. The second group transformed the form and structure of the intentional component of the meaning by adding or replacing an element, as well as by demetaphorizing or secondary metaphorization.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116470489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many digital illustrators have art blogs where they post and promote their work, which they may also exhibit at traditional offline galleries. The sphere of digital art is highly competitive and open to new effective promotion tools, which makes it a prospective research subject. This study featured an online community of digital artists in the VKontakte social network, as well as the methods they use to attract potential buyers and increase their fandom. The research relied on the information and communication method supported by such sociological tools as expert survey and content analysis. The expert survey made it possible to classify digital illustrators into those with maximal, medium, and minimal popularity, as well as to identify the most effective promotion tools for each group. The VKontakte social network offers a wide range of promotion tools, based on the algorithms of this social network. The popularity of young digital artists depends on such factors as relevant content and joint projects with mature digital illustrators. The research contributes to the development of the genre of digital illustration and the fine art in general.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128687383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article reviews the use of messengers and social networks as a modern auxiliary means in teaching a foreign language, especially to students of non-linguistic majors. Social networks are able to immerse the student in the linguistic environment through the means of Internet communication, Internet memes, emojis, etc. They provide interactive tools that simulate routine and professional communicative situations. Messengers also provide an opportunity for real-time academic communication. By integrating media applications in the academic routine, teachers employ a personal-activity approach to develop soft skills and self skills. This approach offers authentic relevant materials, modern vocabulary, and a convenient accessible format. It also reduces stress level and enables simultaneous mastering of information, communication, and professional competencies while increasing motivation for learning a foreign language.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117223353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article describes English loan words and phrases in the German-speaking online advertising of German cosmetics brands. The authors examined how English borrowings function in the virtual advertising and defined their place in the text structure. The research included such methods as dictionary definition, linguistic, contextual, and structural analyses. The continuous sampling revealed the following contexts: product names, slogans, and product descriptions. Advertisers referred to English borrowings to make the advertizing international, to use them as stylistic devices, or to designate new concepts. The borrowings differed in structure as individual lexemes or phrases, both English and German, sometimes with no grammatical agreement between the adjective and the noun. English phrases occurred more often than separate words.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117329079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author conceptualized trust as a rational action and used the metaphor of calculation to examine the main objective factors that affect trust in internet services. These factors were divided into three groups according to the evaluation object: winnings, risks, and trustworthiness. The increasing offer makes the user face the trust dilemma. Trust in Internet services depends on many interrelated factors that encourage users to turn to online services. The factor of winning is especially important: online services save time and are more user-friendly. The risk factor is associated with the personal data that the user has to provide. The research facilitates the processes of digital transformation in general and can help to increase public trust in specific Internet services.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132846819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an interdisciplinary field, neuro-didactics combines brain research and didactics in teaching Russian as a foreign language. The review covers relevant publications on modern scientific approaches to teaching a foreign language with the help of neuro-didactics. The author examined various issues connected with teaching Russian to foreigners to describe the most effective neuro-didactic methods of developing the intercultural communicative competence, e.g., the effect of certain hormones on learning, etc. Neuroscience data, social networks, messengers, and mass media provide a more effective academic process, facilitate language learning, and increase the effectiveness of teaching methods. Thus, basic neuro-didactics should be taught to future foreign language teachers. By understanding the mechanisms and nature of neural plasticity, they may develop new effective teaching and learning methods.","PeriodicalId":359429,"journal":{"name":"Virtual Communication and Social Networks","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125547722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
