Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Objek material berupa cerpen “Malam Masih Panjang, dan Kalian akan Merasa Lapar” karya Masdhar Zainal, sedangkan objek formal berupa teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce, khususnya tentang ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya ikon malam, makanan, dan induk burung, indeks berupa potongan kisah yang dialami tokoh cerita (ayah, ibu, dan empat orang anak), dan simbol warung serta simbol peternak bebek. Rangkaian tanda-tanda berupa ikon, indeks, dan simbol tersebut dapat ditafsirkan sebagai ungkapan keprihatinan pengarang terhadap fenomena kemiskinan dalam masyarakat. Keutuhan cerita berdasarkan tanda semiotis berupa teks dan konteks, dapat dimaknai sebagai pesan yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang, yakni masih adanya kemiskinan yang perlu diatasi oleh berbagai pihak terkait, terutama oleh negara.","PeriodicalId":358894,"journal":{"name":"SEMIOTIKA: Jurnal Ilmu Sastra dan Linguistik","volume":" 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140215742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is a type of library research with an ecolinguistic approach. The method used is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The material objects are the lyrics of regional songs from the Kutai tribe, East Kalimantan, namely the lyrics of the songs \"Burung Enggang Meriesta\" by Djuriansyah, \"Belarut di Sungai Mahakam\" by Djuriansyah, \"Meharit\" by Djuriansyah, \"Buah Bolok\" by Masdari Ahmad, and \"Nasi Bekepor” by Ismed Rizal. The formal object is ecolinguistic theory. The unit of analysis includes words, phrases, clauses and sentences contained in the songs. The results of the study show that there are personification and repetition figures of speech in the regional songs of the Kutai tribe. Apart from that, there is also a natural lexicon, namely the flora lexicon and fauna lexicon. This can be interpreted to mean that the Kutai regional song lyrics utilize figures of speech with flora and fauna lexicons as their attraction.","PeriodicalId":358894,"journal":{"name":"SEMIOTIKA: Jurnal Ilmu Sastra dan Linguistik","volume":" 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140213182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The analysis in this study uses Roland Barthes's theory, including denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and myth. ““Inside Lombok”'s” post is the source of this research regarding the outsider's perspective on Lombok identity and the perspective of Lombok people regarding Lombok's identity itself. The results of the study show that the representation of Lombok's identity depends on how people perceive Lombok. According to the three images, there are hidden meanings that only Lombok people can discover. This is the reason why researchers chose the novel Susu and Eggs to be used as the object of study. The discrimination that occurs against female characters in the novel leads to extreme actions and thoughts regarding women's freedom regarding their rights. Therefore, the novel Susu and Eggs is studied using radical feminism theory. The aim of this research is to describe the structural analysis and aspects of radical feminism in the object of study. Data discovery was carried out using the library study method, namely reading the novel in its entirety. The description of the data is carried out through qualitative descriptive methods. The research results show that there is a relationship between the title, theme and characterization in the novel. The title relates to the major theme which is supported by the minor theme. The theme is depicted through events that support the characters' characters. On the other hand, the aspects of radical feminism found are divided into five parts, namely: (1) women and their bodies which are related to Midoriko and Natsuko. Midoriko as a teenager who hates the nature of women, then Natsuko as a single woman who cannot find pleasure in sex, but wants to have children through a sperm donor; (2) the inequality of roles in the household which is depicted through the character Yusa Rika who hates her ex-husband; (3) women's beauty standards which include women's body shape and nipple color; (4) stereotypes about women's bodies that discuss women's instincts to get pregnant and societal stigma that prioritizes the penis over the vagina; (5) and sexual violence which includes the act of rape against the character Zen Yuriko.","PeriodicalId":358894,"journal":{"name":"SEMIOTIKA: Jurnal Ilmu Sastra dan Linguistik","volume":"7 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140497944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
