Pain in cancer patients seriously impacts physical, mental, and emotional health and quality of life. Therefore, pain management is needed as an essential part of cancer treatment. One of the of non -pharmacological pain management is acupressure technique. Objective: To describe nonpharmacological pain management, namely acupressure in cancer patients. Chief Complaint: A subject in the case study was a cervical cancer patient, Mrs. SN, 42 years old, with pain since being diagnosed with cancer, and its intensity increased when undergoing radiation therapy. Acupressure intervention in this study was conducted for seven days and carried out by the researcher, who already had an acupressure competency certificate. Results: This case study indicated the patient had a decrease in pain scale after acupressure intervention for 7 days, from a scale of 7 (severe pain) to 3 (mild pain). One risk factor that triggers complications in DM patients is smoking habits. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on this issue. Objective : To identify the correlation between smoking behaviour and the incidence of chronic complications in men with type II DM. Methods : This research employed a correlation analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples was 103 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results : Fifty-one (49.5%) respondents were categorized as light smokers. Sixty nine (67.0%) respondents were categorizsed as having chronic complications. The results indicated a correlation between smoking behaviour and the incidence of chronic complications in patients with type 2 DM in the working area of Abiansemal I Public Health Center (ρ value <0.01). Discussion : DM patients with a smoking history have a greater risk of experiencing complications than those who do not have a smoking history, so it is important to provide health promotion related to the dangers of smoking in DM sufferers. Conclusion : The incidence of chronic complications in men with type 2 DM in the working area of the Abiansemal I Public Health Center is correlated with smoking behaviour in patients with type 2 DM. It is expected that DM patients can stop or reduce smoking activities. Efikasi diri dalam kepatuhan dipengaruhi adanya interaksi yang kompleks dari individu dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan efikasi diri dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien hipertensi grade I di Puskesmas Sungai Turak. Metode: Desain deskriptif korelasi dengan cross sectional. Sampel ialah pasien hipertensi grade I di Puskesmas Sungai Turak berjumlah 92 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner efikasi diri dan kepatuhan diet yang telah valid dan reliabel. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efikasi diri pada kategori tinggi 59,79% dan kepatuhan diet pada kategori patuh 71,74%. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square didapatkan signifikansi p-value 0,032. Diskusi: Efikasi diri membuat seseorang berpotensi untuk berperilaku sehat dan kepatuhan pasien dalam menjalankan diet penting dalam mengontrol tekanan darah.  Kesimpulan: Diharapkan perawat memberikan edukasi kepada pasien sebagai care provider, educator, dan health promotor sehingga meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien dan membentuk sikap positif untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri dan kepatuhan diet pada pasien hipertensi grade I dalam mengontrol pola diet yang dianjurkan. Dengan demikian, pasien dapat melakukan asuhan hipertensi secara mandiri dan mencegah komplikasi.Kata Kunci: efikasi diri, hipertensi grade I, kepatuhan diet Correlation Between Self-Efficacy and Dietary Adherence in Patients with Grade I Hypertension ABSTRACTHypertension is a chronic disease that is often found in Indonesia. It is estimated that in 2025, there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension, and 9.4 million people will die from hypertension and complications yearly. The complex interaction of individuals and the surrounding environment influences self-efficacy in adherence. Objective: To identify the correlation between self-efficacy and dietary adherence in patients with grade I hypertension at the Sungai Turak Public Health Center. Methods: This research employed descriptive correlation design with cross-sectional. The samples were patients with grade I hypertension at the Sungai Turak Health Center, numbering 92. They were taken using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a valid and reliable self-efficacy and dietary adherence questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: The results showed that self-efficacy was high by 59.79%, and dietary adherence was adherent by 71.74%. The data analysis using the chi-square test indicated a significant p-value of 0.032. Hidayat","doi":"10.32419/jppni.v7i2.355","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32419/jppni.v7i2.355","url":null,"abstract":"ABSTRAKPenderita hipertensi akan menjalani program pengobatan yang lama dan ini memberikan dampak pada ketidakpatuhan untuk melaksanakan program terapi.  Salah satu faktor dari kepatuhan adalah pengetahuan yang dapat diberikan dengan menggunakan media poster. Penderita hipertensi akan mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan melalui media poster. Tujuan penelitian: Mengetahui efektivitas sebelum dan sesudah pemberian media poster terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Alabio. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pra-experimental design dengan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel adalah pasien yang menderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Alabio berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel ialah purposive sampling. Hasil pretest dan posttest diukur menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil: Sebelum diberikan poster, pengetahuan tentang kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi responden dalam kategori pengetahuan sedang sebanyak 16 orang (53,3%). Sesudah diberikan intervensi menggunakan media poster pengetahuan responden meningkat dalam kategori pengetahuan baik sebanyak 23 orang (76,4%). Penggunaan media poster terhadap pengetahuan memberikan dampak pada kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Alabio (p-value 0,000 < 0,05). Diskusi: Peningkatan hasil penelitian dari pretest ke posttest menunjukkan bahwa pemberian media poster memberikan dampak dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan pasien minum obat antihipertensi. Artinya, jika seseorang tidak melakukan pencegahan hipertensi, itu akan memengaruhi kesehatannya. Oleh sebab itu, kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi merupakan aspek penting yang memengaruhi kesehatan pasien hipertensi. Simpulan: Puskesmas Rawat Inap Alabio dapat menggunakan media poster yang telah dibuat saat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan. Perawat juga dapat berperan sebagai care provider, educator,dan health promotor sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi pada penderita hipertensi agar dapat melakukan asuhan hipertensi secara mandiri.Kata Kunci: hipertensi, kepatuhan, pengetahuan, poster Effectiveness of Poster Media on Medication Adherence in Hypertensive Patients at Inpatient of Alabio Public Health Center ABSTRACTHypertensive patients will undergo a long treatment program, impacting non-adherence to the therapy program.
