In the article, we analyzed customer behavior in the Slovak coffee market and the effect of barista knowledge and experience from the consumer's perspective. We chose the anonymous questionnaire approach to marketing research for the investigation of consumer behavior. For statistical data analysis, we used the Chi-square test of independence, a measure of association between two variables, the Friedman test, and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov one-sample test. Based on the questionnaire survey results, we can conclude that 66.4% of survey respondents cannot imagine a day without coffee and consume up to 3 cups per day. The women in our study statistically prefer milk and sugar to their coffee significantly more than men. Up to 92% of respondents aged 18–24 prefer visiting a coffee shop to drinking coffee prepared at home. Our respondents prefer the recommendations of acquaintances and the good name of the company when visiting a café. We confirmed the existence of a relationship between the baristas' attitude or professionalism and the gender or age of the respondents. Because of the quality of the baristas, men and women between the ages of 18 and 50 visit coffee shops in significant numbers. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, we can conclude that a professional with a wide range of experience and education has proven to be an important factor for today's customers and consumers in the Slovakian coffee market.","PeriodicalId":356304,"journal":{"name":"Mathematics in Education, Research and Applications","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139294015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intermediate, necessary for credit, verification of mathematical knowledge and skills we were made in the form of independent homework, the final examination written work was held place in person on the campus of our university. At evaluation of the obtained data we used the methods of mathematical descriptive statistics, we calculated the average scores of individual components and total scores, which we entered into tables. We also calculated correlation coefficients, which we used to determine whether the learning of one part of mathematical knowledge has an effect on the mastery of another. We found that for home the students scored a higher percentage of points for homework than for homework face to face at school, which is probably natural and expected.","PeriodicalId":356304,"journal":{"name":"Mathematics in Education, Research and Applications","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139294171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Enterprises should strive to minimize inputs (costs) and maximize outputs (revenues). The ability of a business to prosper is reflected in its output. The efficiency of agricultural enterprises is influenced by many factors - natural conditions, climatic conditions, soil and its structure and characteristics, economic, social, technical, and technological conditions, etc. The paper’s main objective is to evaluate the development of the economic result and the factors that affect it in agricultural enterprises - in commercial companies operating in the Nitra region. We have analysed 102 commercial companies for the period 2017 - 2021. Comparing these years, we can state that the main components (costs and revenues) forming the economic result increased during the period under review in both joint stock companies and limited liability companies. Both legal forms showed a profit before tax each year, which was reflected in positive values for the profitability of costs and the profitability of revenues.","PeriodicalId":356304,"journal":{"name":"Mathematics in Education, Research and Applications","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139291923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most essential legal norm in the Slovak Republic focusing on the measurement is the Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting. The main task of article is to determine the alternative of measurement of inventories of the same type when they are removed from agricultural companies. With the above calculations we would like to present the possibilities of using quantitative methods in the accounting of agricultural companies. The entity can select any measurement method which should be specified in its internal policies and cannot be changed during the accounting period. It should select a method that shows consumption of inventories of the same type as faithfully as possible. It can be concluded that the WAA inventory shrinkage method allows the value of an entity's inventories to be expressed at relatively current prices. It is simple and is often used by entities that hold large quantities of different inventories.","PeriodicalId":356304,"journal":{"name":"Mathematics in Education, Research and Applications","volume":"332 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122739770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The agricultural sector is undergoing extensive changes in terms of size, production structure, and business activities. The main objective of enterprises is to make a profit. In economics, profit is the difference between revenue earned and costs incurred, and it is generated if revenue exceeds costs. The paper’s main objective is to analyse the development of agricultural cooperatives in the Nitra region for the period 2017 - 2021. From the economic point of view, we have analysed the costs, revenues and EBT, and quantified the profitability indicators of costs and revenues. The cost profitability indicator follows the revenue profitability indicator. The agricultural cooperatives achieved a profit before tax (EBT) in each of the years analysed, which positively affected the indicators. The individual years were compared using a z-test and when comparing the years (2017, 2019), (2017, 2020) and (2018, 2020), a statistically significant difference in the economic results was found.","PeriodicalId":356304,"journal":{"name":"Mathematics in Education, Research and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129584862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, it is a presentation of correspondence analysis, a technique for graphically visualising the connections between the categorical variables being studied. Using the aforementioned method, we examine consumer purchasing behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. The calculations were performed in the SAS EG statistical software. A contingency table that uses a correspondence map to graphically represent the relevant correlations between the study's variables is the end result of the correspondence analysis. The use of the method was presented in a questionnaire survey to ascertain consumer preferences for food shopping during the Covid 19 pandemic.
