The module allows easily evaluate switchgear's up-state's probability and interruption time for large amount of different types of switchgears by switchgear's bay's faults and elements standardization. Also it is possible to evaluate energy not supplied and costs related to energy not supplied due to switchgear's fault.","PeriodicalId":356169,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2010 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability Conference","volume":"4306 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128883316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the changes in Baltic region power generation together with increasing demand and changes in the directions of the power flows, but also due to the planning and building of new interconnections new solutions that consider different limitations must be developed and thoroughly analysed in order to secure the Estonian power system security. This topic is extremely important and in this paper first steps in this field from the perspective of Estonian power system are covered.","PeriodicalId":356169,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2010 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability Conference","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130182864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence on power factor to supply voltage level, harmonic distortions, harmonic power losses and particularly induction motors harmonic losses is analyzed. The measurement results of voltage harmonics spectrum in industrial 0.4 kV power system are presented. Practical measurements and calculations of high level THDU harmonic losses of an induction motor are analyzed.","PeriodicalId":356169,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2010 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability Conference","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123351403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper unbalances are considered, that are caused by asymmetrical AC-line short-circuit impedances, which are usually a result of unbalanced transmission lines. In the case of thyristor converters one can react on a given unbalance with asymmetrical firing angles. This offers the opportunity to make the converters operation more balanced und to lower the distortion caused by unbalance. This paper deals with the calculation of a current converter's asymmetrical operation and its optimization by use of asymmetrical firing angles.","PeriodicalId":356169,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2010 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability Conference","volume":"81 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129232285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was done by Graz University of Technology in cooperation with the Association of Austrian Electricity Companies (VEÖ). Besides characteristic harmonic spectra for current and voltage, it also includes weighting coefficients for evaluation of the harmonic impact on electric and magnetic fields. Furthermore, symmetrical component analysis is applied to the harmonics, since the zero sequence system may lead to a significant contribution to electric or magnetic fields.","PeriodicalId":356169,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2010 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability Conference","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114134573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
