Milagres, Samuel Araujo Gomes da Silva, Otavio Rezende","doi":"10.1590/1806-9649-2020V28E5041","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9649-2020V28E5041","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract Some theorists argue that collaborative networks are self-regulated structures, and their coordination strategy must be essentially horizontal and shaded by a “hierarchy.” In contrast, others assume that structuring of coordination processes and the establishment of roles is considered to be necessary to achieve the desired results that hierarchise relationships between different actors. Based on this apparent counterpoint, this article is dedicated to understanding the coordination structure of The Colour of Culture (A Cor da Cultura - ACDC) network. Specifically, we are guided by these questions: Can ACDC be characterised as a self-regulated network or as a hierarchical arrangement? What are the functions/dysfunctions of the network’s coordination elements on the ACDC network? The operationalisation of the research relied on the use of primary and secondary data: coded, categorised, and classified using the thematic content analysis technique. The results of the case study indicate how the coordination instruments adopted led some to view the ACDC network as a hierarchical arrangement. However, there are indications that it was the adoption of these instruments that facilitated the achievement of these results. Costa","doi":"10.1590/1806-9649.2020V28E4769","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9649.2020V28E4769","url":null,"abstract":"abstract: This article presents a bibliometric analysis on the Lean System over the period ranging from 2006 to 2017, showing the evolution of the publications over the years, the number of publications per country, the main journals, the most prolific authors, the most used keywords, and eventually barriers for the implementation of the Lean System. The greatest growth of publication rate occurred from 2014 to 2015. The countries with the most contribution have been the United Kingdom, the United States, and Sweden. The publications have been concentrated primarily in twelve journals. The bibliometric map of keywords presented them grouped into six clusters. Several underlying factors like technical and managerial aspects, planning, and leadership can explain the main barriers for the implementation of the Lean System. According to the literature, the understanding of such barriers is the best way to reduce the implementation-time and reach profitability and competitiveness. Therefore, the main contribution of this work is to make the evolution and importance of publications in this area are better known, helping organizations in the knowledge of the Lean System implementation barriers present in the literature, and in reformulating the curricula of undergraduate and postgraduate in disciplines related to Lean System. However, the planning of air transport operations in the context of a disaster response is of great complexity, so that operational research has significant application and potential contribution to the area. In this context, we propose a procedure that aims to optimize the use of helicopters in response operations to small and medium-scale disasters. The proposed procedure seeks to minimize the total time of operation and the mobilization of air resources during the last mile delivery in relief operations. The proposed procedure is applied on a post-disaster scenario, taking as basis the real characteristics of the response operation to the floods, occurred in 2011, in the mountain region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this way, the sustainability of an organization depends more and more on these partners. The supplier sustainability assessment must be based on the economic, environmental and social tripod called the triple bottom line (TBL). Due to the recent adoption of qualitative metrics related to environmental and social issues in business management, models that deal with qualitative assessments based on experts’ judgments have been required. This paper proposes a supplier sustainability assessment model based on fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic representation using TBL criteria. A pilot application involving the evaluation of 11 suppliers using 13 criteria was carried out in a company that manufactures agricultural products. The application results indicate that supplier 8 presents the higher performance. The criteria evaluated as the most relevant are delivery schedule and product quality. As a first approach, we selected the year 2016 after ten years of ISE history. The VAIC™ components were recovered and computed from the International Financial Reporting Standards ended in December 31, 2015. The hypotheses allowed to affirm the following: (i) there is interdependence among Invested Financial Capital, Intellectual Capital, and Value Creation; (ii) there are dimensions of Value Creation capable of differentiating and clustering the observations; and (iii) the allocative efficiency of companies can vary according to clusters. The main limitation is the size of the population/final sample — 29 corporations.
