However, currently most of FD radios require additional antennas to facilitate the multi-stage self-interference cancellation (SIC). As increasing antenna number of transceiver certainly leads to higher theoretical link capacities, the real gain of FD systems over its half-duplex MIMO counterparts should be re-evaluated under a same antenna-number assumption. In this paper, we derive generic close-form expressions for two-way FD link capacity based on mainstream SIC approaches, analyze the impacts of Tx-EVM and transmitter channel information (CSIT) on FD link capacity, and thus illustrate the necessity of enabling close-loop FD to fully exploit spatial diversity. Numerical results show that, although the capacity gain of FD over MIMO is jointly determined by Tx power, SIC gain and Tx-EVM, the awareness of CSIT improves FD performance much more significantly than it does for MIMO. Moreover, for FD radios with Tx-noise, the SIC gain in RF-domain is the most important in determining the capacity of two-way FD communications.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115085596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a new interference cancelation scheme to increase the achievable sum-rate of multi-carrier interference channels in heterogeneous networks. The subcarriers are cooperated where one group subcarriers transmit in full-rate as if there is no interference and another group subcarriers transmit redundancy information to help interference cancellation. To improve the transmission efficiency, in mixed interference scenarios we only require macro-BS to broadcast the redundancy information. We will introduce the channel conditions for selecting these two groups of subcarriers, and study an optimized subcarrier allocation method. Finally, simulation results in practical heterogeneous network settings are provided to show the performance improvement.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129696676","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the regular correlator detector suffers from the inference of multipath fading channel on the primary signal. In this paper we propose a theoretically simple, yet effective and implementation-friendly spectrum sensing scheme called multi-peak values (MPV) detector. Based on the criterion of deflection coefficient maximization, the optimal number of peak value accumulation can be specified for different multipath channel scenarios. With theoretical analyses and simulation results we show that the MPV detector outperforms the correlator detector under multipath channels with non line of sight (NLOS). When applying the OR-rule fusion in the decision block, the MPV detector is capable of reliable spectrum sensing for different multipath scenarios.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124633955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The secondary users can reuse the spectrum by sharing the primary user's uplink (UL) frequency resources in the system. With the help of the stochastic geometry, the secondary user reusing the frequency spectrum can be modeled as the probability that the SINR of the primary user is below an appropriate threshold. In order to solve the constraint of the probability which appears as a transcendental equation, Lambert W function is introduced and the closed-form solution of the region division in the whole cell is obtained when the primary user location is determined. In the simulation, the relationships between system capacity and key parameters including the primary user location, the density and output power of secondary user are analyzed in detail. The results prove the effectiveness of the proposed frequency reuse scheme of the secondary users.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126089461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike conventional spectral precoding approaches which use orthogonal precoding matrixes, this framework composes cancellation signals from the linear combinations of data symbols and minimizes the average OOBE power with a general least-squares solution. A joint frequency domain cancellation subcarrier and data domain cancellation symbol allocation scheme is also proposed for discrete Fourier transform precoded OFDM, by which the overall signal processing complexity of the OFDM transceiver is further reduced without impact on other system performance. The advantages of the proposed scheme is verified both analytically and by simulation as compared with some well-known low-complexity OOBE reduction schemes.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126576616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The non-stationary characteristic of HSR radio channel caused by the high speed moving of the trains, has been considered as an important and hot research topic. In this paper, a metric of non-stationary characteristic of HSR channel is proposed referring to the theory of non-stationary random signal processing. At an aside, in order to solve the disunity of the index, the normalized non-stationary index is further defined. Then the non-stationary characteristic of HSR U-shape cutting scenario is analyzed by using the proposed metric based on the field wideband radio channel measurement data. The results show that the non-stationary degree of the HSR channel is severe when the varying rate of the Doppler is fast.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128242830","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the literature, many distributed algorithms applied in wireless ad-hoc sensor networks have been proposed. However, we find many of these algorithms are divided into different phases. The next phase stars to run until the previous phase completes in sequence. At this point the different phase must be synchronized before continuing with the next phase. Thus such distributed algorithms may suffer from high time delay for leaving sufficient time to end up the previous phase. In this paper, we present a distributed algorithm to constuct a CDS in wireless ad-hoc sensor networks. Our algorithm is an asynchronous distributed algorithm and converges quickly. According to the fact that a maximum independent set (MIS) is also a dominating set, the algorithm constructs a CDS by establishing an MIS first and then adds new nodes to the MIS to let subgraph induced by these nodes be connected. The algorithm requires only local information and iterative rounds of message exchanges among neighbors. Every node can obtain such necessary knowledge to form a CDS by 3-hop message relay asynchronously. As for the diameter of CDS proved as a significant factor, we also do some simulation work including the diameter of CDS generated by our algorithm besides the size of CDS.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115397449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
