However, canceling the self-interference completely is a big challenge behind Full-Duplex wireless. Although many intelligent efforts devote to active analog radio frequency self-interference cancellation (AARFSIC), the power of the residual self-interference (SI) after the AARFSIC is still much stronger than that of the receiver thermal noise. In this paper, we first study deeply the AARFSIC and “dig” the core problem that causing the residual SI, and then propose a digital self-interference cancellation in time domain (DSICT) to complement AARFSIC for the Full-Duplex OFDM wireless. The ADS-Matlab co-simulation results demonstrate the actual performance and show that the residual SI after the AARFSIC can be canceled completely by employing the proposed DSICT.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125811737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, as most users are more familiar with textual passwords than pure graphical passwords, capture attacks resistant text-based graphical password schemes have been proposed. Unfortunately, none of existing capture attacks resistant text-based graphical password schemes can provide both high resistance to accidental login, satisfactory resistance to capture attacks for general environments, and high usability. Herein, we propose an enhanced capture attacks resistant text-based graphical password scheme, Chameleon, which can offer high resistance to accidental login and appropriate resistance to capture attacks for general environments, and high usability. The users who are familiar with textual passwords and qwerty-like keyboards can easily and securely complete the login process.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124409492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So we consider the application of relay to the cellular case to help users at the edge to eliminate interferences and obtain higher sum-rate. In this paper we don't only use relay to neutralize interferences but also use interference alignment to reduce the number of antennas needed in destinations. To this end, we propose a relay-aided interference alignment and neutralization scheme. The relay knows all channel state information(CSI) and can solve out all signals transmitted by sources. To align and neutralize interferences, the relay needs to retransmit the signals solved out by using proper transmitting vectors. The transmitting vectors in sources and relay are carefully designed to achieve higher sum-rate and simulation results will prove it.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121807964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the superimposed pilots are the a priori known spreading sequences, the initial channel estimates can be obtained by separating the users with respect to the corresponding code-division orthogonality. Within the inherent IDMA iterations, a trellis-based channel estimator is integrated, which can significantly enhance the channel estimation during the iterations, by exploiting the superimposed pilots. Notice that the so-called turbo-effect can be clearly observed, in which both data detection and channel estimation are jointly improved between consecutive iterations.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121211434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system model considers imperfect channel estimation, pilot contamination (PC), multiple sub-carriers and multi-path channels. We propose a simple H-inf channel estimation that achieves good suppression to PC. The approach exploits the space-alternating generalized EM (SAGE) iterative process to decompose multi-cell multi-user MIMO problem into a series of single-cell single-user SISO problems, which reduces the complexity drastically. Analysis on mean square error (MSE) of H-inf in the presence of PC is also presented. The numerical results show that increasing the number of pilot subcarriers cannot mitigate PC, and a clue for relieving PC can be obtained. The H-inf realizes better suppression to PC than the LS and ML algorithms. Its performance is close to the optimal MMSE algorithm and can be improved as the increase in the length of channel impulse response (CIR). By using the SAGE process, the performance of the H-inf does not degrade in case of a large number of antennas at base station (BS).","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114282258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we show that reconfigurable antenna does not change type of statistical distribution of envelope amplitude of indoor line of sight radio channel but does change distribution parameters in Rician channel. We present models of parameters of Rician distribution as function of antenna polarization parameter. We also present bit error rate comparison based Monte Carlo simulation with theoretical model as function of antenna polarization parameter and show a good matching results of our observation.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114425260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The architecture presented here integrates Digital Rights Management into the web-based landscape, where the IPTV user interface is being remotely hosted or executed. The platforms for the user interface (UI) execution studied here are browser-based execution approaches, where the execution environment is provided by the browser. The browser resides on the client-side in the context of browser-based UI execution, whereas in a fully cloud-based execution the browser is shifted into the cloud. The client-side implementation for these platforms is done on the same Set-Top Box hardware to demonstrate the response time difference for both approaches. The response time considered in this paper refers to the UI execution and video encryption for unicast and multicast. This paper also introduces a breakdown of response time by introducing a method for load time measurements in the context of remote IPTV middleware. Moreover the paper presents the evolution of Digital Rights Management systems from currently existing proprietary approaches to web-based Encrypted Media Extensions in the IPTV domain, its impact on the browser- and cloud-based execution of the IPTV user interface, challenges and open issues.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128709301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At present, existing methods mainly rely on consistency checking of defocus kernels estimated along suspicious edges (and other reference edges if applicable). However, the texture, nearby edges, light fields as well as noises will influence the information of defocus blur at the natural edges in a certain range, resulting in inconsistent edge defocus blur estimation. As a result, it makes the splicing detection unreliable. In this paper, we analyze the feature of the defocus blur on both the spliced edges and the natural edges, and propose a novel difference-of-defocus-blur based natural image splicing detection method. Compared to the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method can detect splicing more robustly.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129908789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When used in underground mines, MI-based transmit distance is limited by several factors: high path loss, limited size for transmitter antenna due to the narrow underground space, and limited transmitting power due to anti-explosion regulations. In this paper, a method called cooperative magnetic induction (CMI) is presented to increase the TTE propagation range. Specifically, we propose two types of CMI according to different installation of the antenna coil: fixed-angle cooperative magnetic induction and optimal-angle cooperative magnetic (OCMI). Compared to MI, the latter can bring >20% increase in the transmitting distance.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130509129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed MIMO antenna consists of two identical rectangular microstrip patch elements with coaxial feed and has a compact size of 50 mm × 65 mm × 1.6 mm. It covers the LTE bands 2570-2620 MHz and 3600-3800 MHz, with isolation of more than 20 dB and 16 dB, respectively. The rectangular slits are designed and etched into the edge of the microstrip patch in order to reduce the size. The microstrip patch has a small size of 16.7 mm × 24.8 mm, and a size reduction of almost 22% is achieved. The system capacity with the proposed MIMO antenna is verified through a link-level simulation and the diversity performance evaluated by envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), mean effective gain (MEG) is investigated as well. The proposed microstrip MIMO antenna is fabricated, and the simulated and measured results show a good agreement.","PeriodicalId":353402,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC)","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116342934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
