Collections were conducted for three months at each point during April, May, and June. The samples were collected in three repetitions (sample, replica, and triplicate). Through Pearson’s correlation, the correlation between ibuprofen and diclofenac concentration and rainfall in the region was also verified. These drugs were detected in 100% of the samples, with concentrations between 7.4–548.2 and 81.8–231.8 μg.L-1, respectively. Paracetamol and dipyrone were not detected. The observed high concentrations are due to the high consumption of drugs and the low rate of sewage collection in the municipality. Both analyzed drugs — ibuprofen and diclofenac — had insignificant correlation results with rainfall (-0.022 and -0.071, respectively). Regarding the drugs in the WWTP, the treatment consisting of anaerobic followed by aerated lagoons showed efficiency ranging from 35.9 to 93.6% in the removal of diclofenac. The removal of ibuprofen was higher in April (86.6%), but in the other two months, it did not prove to be efficient, evidencing the need to implement more adapted technologies in the removal of drugs combined with the network expansion for sewage collection in the region. The objective of the article was to map the scientific production on WEEE in the last decade (2012–2022), adopting a bibliometric analysis as a research method based on the survey of documents obtained from the Web of Science database. A total of 278 research and review articles were selected for analysis, with the use of Vosviewer and RStudio software. As a result, there was a significant increase in the number of publications in the last decade, with 86% of articles published between 2015 and 2022. In addition, it was possible to obtain the ranking of the most important authors, and the journals most used for publication of articles; it was found that the Asian, European and American continents had the greatest contribution. In the analysis of document coupling, combined with that of keywords, the main areas connected to WEEE currently researched were found: electronic waste recycling; environmental impacts; sustainability; circular economy; efficient e-waste management and e-waste recycling technologies; in addition, the keywords \"e-waste\" and \"polybrominated diphenyl ethers\" were the most frequent words used by the authors to represent the theme. Monitoring air quality is a challenge in several cities, such as Rio de Janeiro, where the number of fixed-site air quality monitoring stations and their spatial distribution are insufficient to assess the extent of atmospheric pollutants. However, despite this lack of resources, the data obtained by mobile stations are a valuable means of determining which areas are experiencing critical air quality conditions, and provide key information for an air quality management program. The main purpose of this study was to conduct a critical analysis of data obtained by the Municipal Department of Environment and Climate (SMAC) mobile station in the period 2010–2018. Concentrations determined for particulate matter with a diameter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5), O3, NO2, SO2 and CO showed that PM2.5 and O3 are the pollutants of major concern, and that the north of the city has higher air quality indices for these compounds. In addition, the south-west district had relatively high ozone levels, probably owing to low concentrations of NO2 in a volatile organic compound (VOC)-limited ozone formation regime. These factors should be considered by the municipal government in future discussions of control strategies for managing the city’s air quality. Forestry, mainly with eucalyptus, has expanded its planting in the Rio Grande do Sul state, southern Brazil. The objective of this study was to contribute to the understanding of the impact of planted forests on Brazilian Pampa biodiversity, through the comparison of the relative abundance of Nothura maculosa in areas of native field and areas with young (aged 6–12 months) eucalyptus. Pointing dogs were used to define the relative abundance (individuals per hour) of N. maculosa on 16 farms and ten eucalyptus plantations. A total of 307 individuals of N. maculosa were recorded on the 26 sampled properties, of which 188 were found in grasslands (average of 12.6 ind.h-1) and 119 in eucalyptus plantings (average of 13.5 ind.h-1). No statistically significant differences were found between the sampled areas (p = 0.18; α = 0.05). However, the application of these fertilizers brings numerous environmental and health problems. An alternative to these chemical products would be the use of rhizobia — plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria naturally present in the rhizosphere and capable of carrying out biological nitrogen fixation. Through the present work, we propose the co-inoculation of Actinobacteria and rhizobia, aiming at the production of a new bio-inoculant that replaces, at least in part, nitrogen fertilization in legumes. It is expected that Actinobacteria, by producing exoenzymes, enable the growth of rhizobia in non-specific culture media for these microorganisms. Ten strains of Actinobacteria with statistically distinct cellulolytic and xylanolytic activity and seven strains of rhizobia without the aforementioned enzymatic activities were used. A co-inoculation of these microorganisms was performed in culture media containing carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and xylan as sole carbon sources, and then their compatibility indexes (CI) were calculated. Actinobacteria strains A139 and A145 (both with CI = 0.857 in the medium with CMC and CI = 1 in the medium with xylan) showed remarkable facilitation of rhizobia growth, and had only one antagonistic relation each (both with rhizobia L9 in the medium with CMC). Concomitant to this, we highlight the fact that the use of liquid quail farming waste, aimed at generating energy by anaerobic digestion, can mean a viable and promising technology for obtaining biogas from confined animal production systems. The growing demand for energy establishes that new energy sources are better used, and a great opportunity for their growth may be the use of biomass in anaerobic digestion systems, in which the organic substrate is degraded and transformed into energy and biofertilizer. The method applied was Biochemical Potential of Methane, through benchtop bioreactors with a volume of 250 mL, and in mesophilic conditions. Waste was used as inoculum from the manure tank of the quail egg production farm. Thesubstrates used to compose the treatments were liquid quail farming waste from the water depth treatment system, with 15, 30 and 45 days of deposition. In the results obtained, it was verified that the best mono digestion used was inoculum+substrate of 30days of deposition, with water retention time of 45 days, showing a higher production accumulated in biogas (0.00078476 Nm3) and CH4 (0.000575 Nm3) as well as the highest biogas potential of 0.0043 Nm3 (kg substrate)-1. This is a scoping review of 49 articles published in scientific journals that answered the research question “What are the topics addressed in the Journal Article on Plant Factory With Artificial Lighting?” from 2015 to 2022. The reviewed articles demonstrated that the development of alternatives for cultivation methods, lighting systems with variation of light spectrum, irrigation systems, and new technologies for the production chain, aimed at increasing production capacity, is a trend. Although various studies have analyzed relationships between land-cover change and ecosystem services degradation, few have explored the impacts in future scenarios in mega metropolitan areas. This work performed an individual and integrated spatio-temporal assessment of four ecosystem services in the São Paulo Macrometropolis, the largest urban agglomeration in Latin America, in different land-cover scenarios using Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs (InVEST) software. Correlation analysis and map algebra were used to identify trade-offs and synergies, as well as hotspots and coldspots of multiple ecosystem services. The results showed decreasing trends in the supply capacity of erosion control, carbon storage, and seasonal water yield in the entire São Paulo Macrometropolis and most of its Regional Units, as well as evidence of a worsening of trade-offs between the ecosystem services evaluated. Furthermore, areas with a high supply of three or more ecosystem services were coincident with Conservation Areas, emphasizing the importance of these protected areas. By revealing important relationships among four ecosystem services, the outputs suggest regions and combinations of services for which spatial planning and appropriate conservation mechanisms can be used to optimize synergies and mitigate trade-offs. The correlation of these microcontaminants with physicochemical and biological characteristics investigated in the studied matrix was also evaluated. For the research, six sampling campaigns were carried out during the rainy season and six in the dry season. The compounds determination was performed by solid phase extraction and chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, gas chromatography for Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, 4-Nonylphenol, 4-Octylphenol, Bisphenol A, Gemfibrozil, Estrone, Estradiol, Ethinylestradiol, and Estriol, and in liquid phase for the other compounds. The compounds detected at higher concentrations than the others were Losartan (5.5 to 738.7 ng/L) and Bisphenol A (20.9 to 518.9 ng/L), also with the highest frequency. The management of this practice must conciliate traditional knowledge, scientific research, and the demands involved in using space and fishing resources to generate employment and income, without harming biodiversity. This article presents an analysis of recreational fishing in the Barra do Una Sustainable Development Reserve by primary and bibliographic data and results of participatory workshops, aiming to generate information and discussions relevant to fisheries management integrated in the Juréia-Itatins Mosaic of Conservation Units, in the south coast of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil. The main services provided to recreational fishing and structured in the territory are the activities of fishing guides or pilots, trading live baits, and renting boats, while, accommodation and food still require organization. Centropomus parallelus and C. undecimalis are target species, and the profile of practitioners – systematized by the scientific literature – demonstrates certain patterns related to age, fishing time, and place of origin.
