In this paper, a novel fast readout scheme is proposed that depends on charge sharing between the bitline-parasitic capacitance and another properly sized capacitor. The 45 nm CMOS Berkeley predictive-technology model (BPTM) is used in verifying the proposed readout scheme. According to the simulation results, approximately 25% of the average read-access time is saved.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133545151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sensing performance calculated using formulae derived from the model agrees well with results of experiment carried out to detect 1.0 THz waves using InAs-channel high-electron mobility transistor (HEMT). The model predicts that HEMT offers much higher voltage sensitivity to terahertz waves than Si MOSFET even for miniaturized devices.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132341328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its operation depends on the optical interference effect. It is arranged on a two-dimension linear-square lattice format with one ring resonator. The enhancement process is applied to decrease the reflection to the input ports and to achieve the best contrast ratio together with high bit rate and multi-wavelength operation. This occurs by inserting three scattering rods and sensitive selection for the inner rods radius of the ring resonator. The results provide that the operating wavelength, the contrast ratio, and the response time are 1.552 μm, 6.91 dB, and 0.21 ps, respectively. The structure simplicity, the absence of external phase shifters, and the compactness are considered magnificent evaluating factors for the proposed design. Therefore, it will be suitable in integration with other optical components to provide remarkable performance in the upcoming computing systems.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130873693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the IoT services, a huge number of small packets are transferred across the networks. If the current Internet technologies are applied to these services, a large overhead is caused by the IP routing process, information discovery, and large protocol headers, such as HTTP over TCP. In addressing this problem, the application of Information Centric Network (ICN) technologies to the IoT services holds promise. However, this has a disadvantage in that a network based on the ICN technologies is expanded to a larger area. This study proposes a solution to this problem through a framework of a distributed ICN system for the IoT services. In the proposed approach, the end points are invoked by the ICN related protocols. Interworking points are invoked to connect among themselves by a logical loop and cached information is transferred in real time through “shared memory architecture”. This study also presents the detailed operations based on this approach.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133904286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dipole array elements are positioned at the tip points of Koch fractal curve. The proposed arrangement introduces a compact design of the fractal array with low mutual coupling and no grating lobes. The method of moments (MoM) and the wavelet packet transform (WPT) are used for efficient analysis of different antenna arrays. Different array geometries with single, dual, four Koch fractal curves are designed. The MoM/DWT reduces the non-zero elements in the matrix with compression ratio of 80 % which reduces the matrix inversion computational time to 0.0103 Sec. The PSO estimate the voltage phase shift excitations of the dipole elements along the single arm Koch fractal. The radiation patterns of single ring and nested-ring Koch fractal curves are investigated.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124732879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In some SDOs, the use cases of IoT services have been collected and analyzed to clarify technical requirements. This paper summarizes the trends of IoT services and the activities of SDOs, with a special focus on ISO/IEC JTC1/SC41. The requirements according to use case analysis are also clarified. Then, a new platform is proposed, referred to as the “IoT Data Exchange Platform (IoT DEP)”, as a work item for standardization. This platform complies with these requirements and provides efficient information transfer over the Internet infrastructure. In addition, this paper presents detailed block diagrams of the IoT DEP and its operations.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121962410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DVR device is designed for each phase instead of one DVR for three- phase to study the different faults. The DVR of each phase is controlled using PWM technique and the conventional PI controller to eliminate the voltage sag and swell. The DVR device with distribution system is simulated using Matlab/Simulink package. The simulation results of DVR prove the effectiveness and powerful of proposed DVR with each phase in sense fast response of voltage restoring after power system faults.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123237267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigate a joint power allocation and channel assignment problem for multi-pair D2D communications underlaying cellular networks over fading channels under different systems requirements. Specifically, we propose two primal-dual algorithms, where the objective of the first one is to maximize the total cell throughput under the different quality of service and power constraints, while the objective of the second one is to minimize the total power consumption. Simulations results show that the proposed algorithms achieve the targeted objectives in different signal-to-noise ratio regimes as well as enhance the D2D connectivity.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130541608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna consists of multilayered structure with perforated dielectric substrate to make dog-bone shaped DRA. The ridge-gap waveguide technology is used to feed the DRA for the surface wave suppression and gain enhancement. The unit-cell of the ridge gap structure has stop-band of 46–95 GHz. The SIW DRA introduces impedance bandwidth from 59.4 GHz to 60.4 GHz with peak gain of 6.78 dBi. The rotation of the dog-bone shaped DRA by 45 degrees produces left-hand CP with a bandwidth of 0.22 GHz. A 2×1 SIW-DRA elements are designed with sequential rotation and phases for CP bandwidth enhancement. The peak gain increases to 7.82 dB, and a broadband axial-ratio (AR) of 4.8 GHz is achieved.","PeriodicalId":351812,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Japan-Africa Conference on Electronics, Communications, and Computations, (JAC-ECC)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127598451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
