The video distortion (RMSE) or quality (PSNR) for individual video frames in these traces, however, only allow for the calculation of the video quality of correctly received video frames. For lossy network transport, only a rough approximation can be made. These problems complicate unified implementation and installation of PLC equipment. Characteristics of respectable types of power lines and topologies in operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina's electricity distribution networks analysis are presented in paper. Certain measurements of characteristics and QoS parameters of Low Voltage (LV) lines, when are used as broadband communication channel are suggested. The wavelength assignment assumes four basic methods: first-fit, least-used, most-used, and maximal sum with relative capacity loss algorithm. Usage of jitter attenuator after demodulation and extremely low residual BER of 1E-10 gives excellent audio performances. The main requirement was low cost which is achieved by usage of direct modulation and avoiding costly digital signal processing wherever is possible. We consider the GLDPC codes with Reed- Muller (RM) and Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) component codes. GLDPC codes with RM codes as component codes is an attractive option for high-speed applications, such as optical communications, because they provide excellent coding gains, while the RM codes can be decoded using low-complexity maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) decoding algorithm due to Ashikhmin and Lytsin, based on Walsh-Hadamard transform. Several classes of GLDPC codes (with component RM or BCH codes) outperforming the turbo product codes are presented. The problem of multimedia content delivery and retrieval has become more and more important due to the growing amount of video information that is delivered to consumers today. The classical searching and retrieval mode in multimedia databases is by name; however the name cannot truly describe the semantic content of most video content. The solution for this problem is visual content extraction. This means that the multimedia content will be characterized not only by name but also by the most representative information contained. This information is known as visual feature and there are any methods that try to extract visual features from multimedia streams. The methods presented in this paper are based on colour and spatial information and are used for extracting patterns from images and videos. The process of multimedia content retrieval consists of three stages: semantic video modelling, video segmentation and feature extraction. The result of semantic video modelling is the representation of raw data in a more structured form, and it is essential in the following stage. Video segmentation means the partition of an image into a set of non overlapping homogenous regions whose union is the entire image.
