The primary concern revolved around infection during pregnancy due to possible vertical transmission and its association with adverse fetal and infant outcomes, known as Congenital Zika Syndrome (CZS). This qualitative study employs phenomenology and grounded theory. This study includes interviews with 98 women, some pregnant during the ZIKV epidemic in Brazil, Colombia, and Puerto Rico, who had children with CZS or without diagnosed neurological impairment. Additionally, the study included a group of women who were pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic in these same countries. In both groups, interviewees had varying levels of knowledge about ZIKV. The study found that messages conveyed through the media tended to be alarmist, in contrast to the information provided by healthcare professionals, which was considered more trustworthy. Pregnant women during the ZIKV epidemic reported receiving their ZIKV and CSZ infection diagnoses late, either during or after childbirth. The study underscores the needs of pregnant women in high-risk scenarios, the importance of health education processes, and the necessity to reinforce communication and continuing education.</p>","PeriodicalId":34976,"journal":{"name":"Physis","volume":"34 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC11221405/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141535566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method Scope review conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology, based on the PRISMA Checklist and Explanation framework. The databases used were the Virtual Health Library (BVS), Epistemonikos, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLINE) via Pubmed, SCIELO electronic library, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and Johns Hopkins. Data collected in March 2021, considering studies published from January 2005 to December 2020. Articles and academic research developed in the Brazilian scenario and published between January 1994 and December 2020 were included. Results Low-income neighborhoods generally have a higher density of tobacco outlets and have higher rates of tobacco use, leading to health inequities. Studies indicate that children are more likely to smoke when they live or go to school in neighborhoods with a high density of tobacco retailers. Conclusion This study shows that it is necessary to set up the sale of tobacco products exclusively in tobacconists in Brazil, but such establishments would be subject to a new legal order to be instituted at the national level.","PeriodicalId":34976,"journal":{"name":"Physis","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134883846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Este artigo avaliou o impacto da pandemia sobre o serviço no SUS. Trata-se de um estudo observacional descritivo ecológico utilizando o banco de dados do Programa Nacional de Controle do Tabagismo (PNCT) anos 2019, 2020 e 2021, de cinco estados (PA, PB, GO, RJ e RS) referente ao segundo quadrimestre. Foram estimadas as diferenças relativas no número de unidades que ofereceram o serviço e no número de atendimentos para avaliação clínica, primeira e quarta sessões. Para os anos de 2019 e 2020, observou-se diferença percentual no número de unidades que ofereceram o serviço em todos os estados estudados de -51,9%. Para os anos de 2019 e 2021, a diferença relativa para as unidades de saúde foi de -20,96% e, para a avaliação clínica, primeira e quarta sessões foram: -54,19%, -55,07% e -61,31%, respectivamente. Essas diferenças foram maiores para as capitais quando comparadas com os demais municípios. Apesar do impacto negativo, principalmente no primeiro ano da pandemia, o estudo mostrou que os serviços não interromperam suas atividades e mostraram alguma recuperação em 2021.Também foi importante observar que os tabagistas, apesar das recomendações, não deixaram de procurar o tratamento.","PeriodicalId":34976,"journal":{"name":"Physis","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134884840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, questions have been raised about the damage they cause to health, especially the impacts resulting from exposure to their emissions. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the use of HTPs indoors on air quality and/or the health of passively exposed people, through a systematic review of original studies. Methods: A bibliographic search was carried out in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLINE), Excerpta Medica Database (EMBASE), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) and SCOPUS databases. Results: 21 studies were selected and included in this review. The results indicate that heated tobacco products are a source of environmental pollution due to the emission of particulate matter. The stages of selection, data extraction and risk of bias assessment of the studies were performed in pairs, independently, and disagreements were resolved by consensus. Conclusion: Heated tobacco products produce emissions that can expose people to toxic substances emitted indoors, just like other tobacco products.","PeriodicalId":34976,"journal":{"name":"Physis","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135213369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Entrevistas semiestruturadas foram realizadas com 20 profissionais e, em seguida, transcritas e tratadas com a análise de conteúdo temática. Compreendemos que a oferta das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares depende dos profissionais, os quais têm sofrido com a falta de apoio da gestão e desarticulação do seu trabalho perante a equipe, bem como com a ausência de infraestrutura adequada e despadronização do registro nos prontuários dos usuários.
