{"title":"Analysis of the Sport Situation in the Municipality of Vouzela","authors":"","doi":"10.51995/2237-3373.v11i1e110009","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51995/2237-3373.v11i1e110009","url":null,"abstract":"Introduction: Understanding the sport situation in a given context is the first step to discover and analyze its “state of the art”, at a given moment. This momentary “photograph” should enable the organization, to be situated in the present and, at the same time, to outline the path(s) it intends to take to promote sport as cultural practices that are unequivocal factor of socialization, integration, health and well-being. Consequently, it is crucial to establish tangible indicators that should mirror exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish, when monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of strategies and determining the slope between previously established goals and what has actually been completed. Objectives: Knowing the sports facilities in the municipality of Vouzela; characterize the sports offer, through the identification of the projects developed by the municipality; to know the opinion of sports agents about the sport situation in the municipality; meet the agents and specialists from different areas who are directly or indirectly related to the municipality's sporting activity; update the list of artificial sports facilities in the municipality of Vouzela. Methods: The study results from the combination of an exploratory investigation (field research), consisting of a thorough analysis of a specific entity, resembling a case study and a description that combines quantitative and qualitative techniques. Results: There are 122 sports facilities in the municipality of Vouzela, basic, specialized and special for sport shows, with an emphasis on training-based (fields, pavilions and rooms); 4% of the facilities is under direct management by the municipality, while only 15% requires requalification; the municipality points to citizens' sports activities, specially focusing on youth and old age groups, and has a strong link with associations in various sport modalities; the number and qualification of sport agents involved is considered unsatisfactory, claiming a quantitative and qualitative increase; current sport projects do not have central support, being fully supported by the municipality. The paths of humanity are being generated from the indeterminate, the unforeseen, the unusual; this takes us to think then: why manage, plan, anticipate? In all our years of experience in the sports field, we seek to build scenarios, analyze external and internal environments, and use management tools. Perhaps the appropriate metaphor to represent all these cycles is the Olympics. History shows us the strength of the cyclical element in our existence as a species and people in the sports group. We organize, train, guide, plan from them. But suddenly, something happens that seems to contradict our cyclical experience.\u0000Unpredictability, non-substantiality, non-essentiality are elements dealt with in various spheres but hardly in management. Some authors try to find explanations by constructing other metaphors, such as the \"black swan\". Thus, it is a descriptive research, which used a questionnaire as a data collection instrument, this questionnaire contained closed and open questions. Of the 967 participants in the technical lectures analyzed, 335 responded to the data collection instrument that contained questions about gender variables; age; study level; course; activity that exerts; personal monthly income; aspects of the event (access to the event venue; parking; auditorium; seating; restrooms; conducting the event (ceremonial); punctuality of the event; signage and information; importance of the event (theme); quality of the speakers). The results show that 60.6 are men; 85.7% are up to 24 years old; 64.6 has a monthly income of up to R $ 1,000.00 (one thousand reais); 90.4% are undergraduate students; and 88% are studying Physical Education. {"title":"Theory of Reflective Modernization as a support for reading Sports and Leisure Public Policies","authors":"","doi":"10.51995/2237-3373.v11i1e110004","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51995/2237-3373.v11i1e110004","url":null,"abstract":"The text aims to present some of the potential analytical contributions that Ulrich Beck's theory of reflexive modernization offers to carry out the reading of public policies on sport and leisure in Brazil. Along this path, the emergence of a cosmopolitan realpolitik and meta-games of powers that are increasingly active and decisive on a global scale is considered in order to suggest an analytical design that not only seeks to overcome the borders of the Nation-State but also invests in reflective dimensions of the different actors involved in global political making. With regard to methodological aspects, this is a theoretical article that presents a critical perspective and new hypothetical elements for investigations in the field of sports and leisure policies. For that, we started from the literature and used documents and statistical data as empirical sources for the inferences of the presented assumptions. In this logic, it was possible to show that the sports and leisure policy in Brazil has historically gone through a process of structural reorganization combined with a process of radicalization of modernity in the expansion of the participation of the third sector in the promotion of actions in this area, which caused reflexivity among the actors entangled in this process. The period of analysis refers to the ten first years during which information has been made available on the Brazilian Public Sector Accounting and Fiscal Information System, from the National Treasure Department, from 2002 to 2011. Municipalities from Ceará don’t prefer inaction and present high adhesion to the sport and leisure agenda. Results of CP4 and TU3 indicate a strong expansion on expenditures in higher levels of urbanization and population class. As a secondary objective, the influence of the \"adaptation\" dimension on the system of distinctive capabilities. We develop and test hypotheses as to how adaptation impacts the distinctive capabilities system, and how this system impacts global performance, non-financial performance and financial performance. This study adopted a cross-sectional survey method to collect primary data. An online questionnaire was distributed to around 978 fitness gyms professionals, out of which 68 completed questionnaires were obtained. The hypotheses are tested by using partial least squares-path modelling. The analytical results indicate that adaption has a positive impact on distinctive capability system, while the system has a positive impact on the three dimensions of organizational performance. Thus, this study provides a better understanding of the impact of distinctive capabilities system in performance. Even in the period before major sporting events, few relevant reports are published about the modality practiced by women, and even when published, they bring negative aspects about the sport. The evolution in the number of reports on football played by women is still far behind those related to men's football. Taking this context into account, the objective of the present work was to analyze the publications about the Brazilian men's and women's soccer teams published in the news pages of the Lance and Globo Esporte (GE) newspapers during the period of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The present study has a mixed approach and an exploratory and descriptive purpose through documentary research. Data collection was carried out through reports available on the pages of the Globo Esporte and Lance online portals during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (July 21 to August 8, 2021). All the reports about the Brazilian women's and men's soccer teams' participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were collected. also to the fact that each team reached different stages of the competition.
