The methodology used had as a guiding parameter a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory analysis, using a specific questionnaire as a data collection instrument, answered by a sample of 17 municipal secretaries of the state of Ceará, cataloged in the period from 2017 to 2019 at random, by search and response, via democratic consent. For the descriptive and statistical interpretation of the variables, Microsoft Office Excel 2020 and SPSS 2020 were used. Among the results found, it was evidenced that the managers of Ceará were mostly male, with an average age between 31 and 40 years old, married, with a college degree/post-graduate course and natives of the municipality, with the development of their work functions carried out in specific sports secretaries. The records signaled the need for the inclusion of women in the field of municipal sports management, via the creation of public policies that encourage the valorization of the female sex. Thus, social projects must be implemented to strengthen the aforementioned public from early childhood, strengthening the triad of dissemination of these values, primarily initiated in the family environment, and secondarily in school and later grounded in the academic field as an inviolable attribute of universal knowledge.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116992055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research had an exploratory and descriptive nature and used a documental procedure and quantitative analysis. Sponsor data was collected from the official websites and social networks of the 16 clubs participating in the NBB 2020- 2021 season. The data showed a total of 163 sponsoring/supporting companies in total, that is, each team, on average, had 10.2 sponsoring companies. Two diametrically opposite ways emerged for clubs to relate to their sponsors. On the one hand, some teams show a significantly higher number than the average, in the case of Franca (27 companies), Bauru (23), Campo Mourão (21) and Unifacisa (16), and on the opposite side, some teams showed a good number of commercial partners. below average, such as: Corinthians (no company), Pinheiros (2), Paulistano and Minas Tênis (3). These results show heterogeneity in the strategy of clubs participating in the NBB 2020-2021 to relate to this form of revenue. While most basketball clubs have pulverized their partnerships, data show that socio-sports clubs and football clubs are more restrictive when carrying out their commercial partnerships related to sponsorship. The results can be useful for club directors to understand which segments have the greatest potential for interest in the sport, such as the retail trade, health, financial services and education sectors. The results may also indicate to some economic segments that basketball teams are potential possibilities for publicizing the company, given the existence of a significant number of companies in their area among the current sponsors, that is, companies belonging to the areas mentioned above should be on the lookout for opportunities to connect with sports sponsorship through basketball, as your competitors appeared more frequently in this survey.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"231 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130001926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The occupancy rate of Brazilian stadiums is lower than in other competitions in the world, which denotes the importance of knowing the configurations that mobilize the presence of the fans in following the matches. Brazil has more than 850 professional football clubs and only 128 of these teams compete in one of the four divisions of the national championship and studies point to the importance of regional championships in the Brazilian football ecosystem. This work aimed to analyze comparatively the matches of the first professional divisions, divided into 291 matches of Module I and 332 matches of Module II, of the Campeonato Mineiro, the Minas Gerais state championship, between 2015 and 2018 seeking to understand in which combinations of factors the public is present in the stadiums. This research found a combination of factors using Coincidence Analysis that implies the importance of high-ranking teams, acting in matches as a visitor, in attracting the public to stadiums to watch Module I of the Minas Gerais Soccer Championship. It also found minimally sufficient conditions that showed the importance of the rivalry factor and performance-related factors in causing a good occupancy rate of Module II of the state championship. This study brings notes to the importance of high-ranking teams in the dispute, necessary to attract the public to the stadiums in the games of Module I of the state championship of Minas Gerais. It also expands the scenario that covers most professional clubs in Brazil and is distant from the eyes of the great public fan of the sport.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116093426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a documental, qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, which had as primary sources the journalistic reports available in the public domain, published during the period in which the club and the company maintained relations in the sports context. For data analysis, the Content Analysis method was used, in which the research data were organized into three different characteristics that cover the issues discussed throughout the reports, related to the club, athletes / coaching staff and managers. This research is relevant to the area, due to the incipient production of qualitative studies dealing with the relationship between sports sponsorship and volleyball, and for bringing an important discussion of successful cases about the sponsorship of sports clubs in Brazil. We identified the use of different marketing strategies used by the company in the different periods of sponsorship maintenance, which brought positive returns in terms of sports performance for the club - arising mainly from the investment made in structure and athlete development - and in market performance of the company's different brands - reaching market leadership over brands already consolidated in Brazilian consumption. As a case study, the research showed successful strategies that met mutual objectives, by changing the product, the brand, and the uniform, bringing benefits for both the club and the company. Innovations such as the creation of the club's online store, the official mascot, activation campaigns of the company's brands in the gym and advertising campaigns also stand out throughout the sponsorship period. The strategies that were used can be directly applied or adapted to other relationships between sports clubs and companies, contributing to a remarkable return on the brand and its products, and a competent structuring of the sport (from the base to high performance).","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130832273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research adopted quantile regression as a technique. As a result, there is the influence of the independent variable access on the variation of the dependent variable gross revenue of clubs – in a positive way. The theoretical implication is to investigate the reality of clubs in the second division. In the practical field, one can see the importance of increasing the revenues of clubs in the second division so that clubs are more financially balanced, the construction of competitiveness between clubs and, consequently, a more attractive first division. Clubs will not feel compelled to aspire to the first division at any cost, which can lessen risky financial behavior.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122159615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Theoretical basis for understanding and analyzing the implementation of the LIE was given by the light of the fourth generation of public policy implementation studies characterized by multiple models. As results, was confirmed the domain of the Third Sector as the main executor of the projects, ahead of other private associations and public institutions, pointing to the need for specific attention from the Brazilian Government to these actors, in the policy implementation. In this sense, attention to the hiring of trained professionals is increasingly high, both in terms of experience, training, skills and their motivations. In addition to skills, it is also considered their Career Anchors, which are a combination of motivations, preferences, interests, aspirations and values that represent the essence of the worker. This study aimed to analyze the Career Anchors of soccer executives and managers. As specific objectives, the ordering and classification of Career Anchors in the sample, verifying similarities between the results obtained with the skills defined for professional practice. This quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive research sampled 26 soccer executives or managers who worked in clubs of the 2019 Brazilian Soccer Championship, from a population of 70 professionals affiliated with the Brazilian Association of Soccer Executives. The instrument used for data collection was the Career Anchors inventory elaborated by Schein and Maanen (1993), extracted from the book Carrer Anchors by Dutra and Albuquerque (2008), which classify them into eight different categories: Technical Competence, Management Competence General, Independence, Security, Entrepreneurship, Dedication to a Cause, Pure Challenge and Lifestyle. Descriptive analyzes were performed, considering the mean and standard deviation to describe the variables and, to test the significant difference between the means of the anchors, a one-way ANOVA and multiple comparisons with Bonferroni post-hoc adjustment were used. The results found indicate that the anchor that obtained the highest value was Pure Challenge, with an average value of 5.1, followed by the Technical Competence anchor, with 4.8, and Dedication to a cause, with 4.6. It is possible to see that Entrepreneurship had the lowest average and had little variability: 2.7 with a standard deviation of 1.0. The Pure Challenge and Dedication to a cause anchor predominate, both with 30.8% of the total, followed by Technical/Functional Competence with 23.1%. Entrepreneurship was the only anchor that was not the greatest in any case. These findings may contribute to the understanding of the motivations and preferences of football executives and managers in clubs, in addition to subsidizing the analysis of adherence of profiles to positions and functions assumed for professional management.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132274271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research aimed to obtain an overview of the leadership positions held by women in technical committees and in the management of Brazilian Sports Confederations of Olympic collective modalities. The research has a mixed approach, using the document analysis method. Publications of calls for technical commissions and election minutes available online on the websites of the sports Confederations of collective Olympic modalities were analyzed, in addition to consulting the website of the Olympic Committee of Brazil. The data collected regarding the occupation of positions were organized in an Excel spreadsheet, descriptive statistical analysis was performed, in order to describe and summarize the set of data obtained, and content analysis (enumeration technique), for data related to the type of position held by women. 110 positions were identified in the technical committees of all sports analyzed (female and male teams), of which 23 are occupied by women (20%). The modalities of Basketball, Football, Handball, Water Polo, Rugby, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball add up to 43 positions on the technical committees in the women's teams, 13 of which are occupied by women (30%). The same modalities, in their men's teams add up to 47 positions, and of these 4 are occupied by women (8.5%), indicating that while men have space in the technical committees of women's teams, the opposite does not occur. Of all the modalities analyzed, it was possible to verify that few women occupy positions of greater leadership, such as coach/technician, in general, a panorama similar to that found by Ferreira et al. (2013), with the position of physiotherapist being the most occupied by women professionals. When analyzing the distribution of management positions, the panorama confirms the “glass ceiling” concept, which assumes that women rise to leadership positions to some extent. As for operational positions, 121 positions were identified, 40 of which are occupied by women (33%). As for statutory positions, of the 76 positions identified, only 7 of them are occupied by women (9.2%). It was possible to draw an overview of female participation in leadership in sport administration entities and Olympic collective sports modalities, highlighting the under-representation in leadership positions.","PeriodicalId":349501,"journal":{"name":"Revista Intercontinental de Gestão Desportiva","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116054038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
