Since variety of travel information may come from different enterprises or departments and same type of information services may have several providers, How to integrate these information for travelers to provide high-quality cross-platform and inter-enterprise information services has become an important issue in TIS. This paper presents a traffic information service system based on SOA, which allows travel information from different providers can be integrated together to provide high quality services for travelers. First the system architecture was designed, then the key technologies were researched including requirements identifying, registration, service matching and synthesizing etc. At last the experimental system illustrates the feasibility of these technologies.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116880982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So who is it and what are the factors to respect for customization in this sector? Our results are based on 163 questionnaires from international luxury e-consumers. They show clearly, that female luxury e-consumers are not buying more than male luxury e-consumer. We have obtained the same results for young e-consumers and the Web 2.0 users. So, international e-commerce offer can be directly adapted to specific needs and expectations from the luxury e-consumer's side.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"41 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120986459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cloud Computing, with its on-demand provisioning capability on shared resources, has emerged as a new paradigm for reducing IT costs. In this paper, we describe a solution-based provisioning mechanism to automate the deployment of complex application services on a Cloud infrastructure. We introduce the concept of Composite Appliance and show how it can be used to deploy a complete solution and to simplify management tasks. We illustrate the advantages of our approach with a prototype solution consisting of two-tier application services that are deployed and configured automatically on virtual machine instances without manual intervention.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124454934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The operation consists of two optimization problems: truck sequencing and door assignment. The problems are integrated and formulated as a machine scheduling problem. Two constructive heuristics are developed to address truck scheduling: a dependency ranking (DR) heuristic for truck sequencing and a machine fitness (MF) heuristic for door assignment. The solutions generated by the heuristics are compared with those of an MIP model formulated for the same problem. Considering the constructive nature of the proposed heuristics where no optimization technique has been employed, the quality of results compared to that of the CPLEX solver is quite promising. Also, the heuristics maintain scalability in solution time as the problem size increases to large scales.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128000880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the retailers also offer the customers the trade credit in order to extend the market of this product. So this paper describes an EOQ model with multiple periods and different demand rate under two -echelon trade credit in which the supplier allows the retailer to pay at the reorder point and the retailer offers a certain permissible delay period to the customer. Then, the retailer's inventory system is investigated as a cost minimization problem to determine the retailer's optimal ordering policy. Finally a numerical example is given to verify the validity of the model.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132484795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Design and implementation of automatic and accurate asset management has become an important task for data center management. Although there are many asset management solutions with RFID, the value of asset traceability in data center management is not being considered as a whole infrastructure. The key issue to add values on traceability of asset is to integrate the traceability system with the business process management and use the traceability data to support making decisions for manager and improve performance of business management. This paper proposes a framework of integrated solution of RFID enhanced asset traceability system. Beyond traditional understanding of asset tracking values, more potential benefits are discussed. The rise of these services has led to a concurrent need to develop models of customer satisfaction of e-government services. This study aims to establish an e-government customer satisfaction measurement model from the behavioral perspectives of users. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Self-service Technology (SST), the study proposes an intergraded model for measuring e-government customer satisfaction. An online survey is undertaken. The target population is undergraduate students who have experienced with browsing and searching for the information in e-government web portals. Using structural equation modeling, a highly statistically significant goodness-of-fit was found for the model. The results show that the important determinants of customer satisfaction of e-government are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived reliability and perceived personalization. Finally, the academic and practical conclusions are discussed.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126007898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machine learning methods in particular classification, play a central role in such applications. In modeling cultural data, it is expected that standard classifiers yield good performance under the assumptions that class distribution is balanced and different classification errors have uniform costs. However, these assumptions are often violated in practice and thus the performance of standard classifiers is severely hindered. To handle this problem, this paper studies cost-sensitive learning in cultural modeling domain by considering cost factor when building the classifiers, with the aim of minimizing total misclassification costs. We empirically investigate four typical cost-sensitive learning methods, combine them with six standard classifiers and evaluate their performances under various conditions. Our empirical study verifies the effectiveness of cost-sensitive learning in cultural modeling. Based on the results of our experimental study, we gain a thorough insight into the problem of class imbalance and non-uniform misclassification costs, as well as the selection of cost-sensitive methods, base classifiers and method-classifier pairs for this domain.","PeriodicalId":348698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121296630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
