The coexistence of the two operations does not introduce any penalty on the system performance. The innovative sharing of both transceiver and antenna element allows for a reduction in terms of cost and Size Weight and Power consumption. The dual-use radar-communication system has been demonstrated in a outdoor field trial combining a radar experiment in S-band and C-band OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) communication.","PeriodicalId":346680,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Radar Symposium (IRS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115444374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A new method based on the use of the Doppler signature spectrogram has been investigated. This allows a rough estimation of target motion parameters even in the presence of significant clutter, when the Doppler signature cannot be used to extract accurate kinematic information. The spectrogram characteristics change depending on target's speed, crossing angle and crossing point, this will be shown in order to explain how it is possible to estimate kinematic information analyzing the spectrogram trend. The performance of this new method is analyzed at the initial stage of the research.","PeriodicalId":346680,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Radar Symposium (IRS)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127296581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under the sparsity constraints it allows for reconstruction of the data with small or zero error using minimum l1 norm reconstruction methods. Since most of the real world data are either sparse or compressible in some suitable basis, the proposed method has immediately found application in varied fields like imaging systems, MRI, Radar systems etc. But most of the applications considered in literature deal with real data. For radar applications the data is complex and suitable amendments for processing are considered. In this paper we proposed an application of compressed sensing towards portable radar signal processor. We have used the method to accurately detect target's range and doppler with highly reduced quantum of input data. Since the doppler information is corrupted during the signal transformation to lower dimension we have used a parallel processing channel for estimating the doppler information.","PeriodicalId":346680,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Radar Symposium (IRS)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122580799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This optimization aims to locally minimize the cross-ambiguity and the auto-ambiguity functions of a family of sequences for Multi-Static Primary Surveillance Radar (MSPSR) systems. The optimization of the ambiguity functions is done by an optimized gradient. An extension is also presented for controlling both the spectrum and the ambiguity functions.","PeriodicalId":346680,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Radar Symposium (IRS)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124023784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
