Attackers are increasingly employing APTs to target susceptible systems. The attack group frequently uses complex strategies and tools during the APT assault process, posing numerous challenges for information security systems. Traditional defence mechanisms and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) cannot detect these types of attacks. The Defence system fails when relying on a single approach or method to detect advanced attacks. As attacker uses unique strategies, tools and methods to launch APTs, different layers of defence in the system are necessary to thwart the attacks. A robust defence mechanism is in high demand to address these APT attacks. All the existing frameworks are based on the attack steps and stages used by the attack groups, and there is a lack of a robust defence model in cyberspace that the system defenders could use to build a strong defence mechanism. This article proposes the four-layered model, called Advanced Cyberattack Handling (ACH) reference Model. This model is created by considering four different layers to cope with the processes like data handling, characterization, detection and mitigation of the advanced cyberattacks like APTs. Furthermore, this model is flexible enough to be used by the defenders of sensitive systems to handle real-time scenarios and meet the demands of changing world.","PeriodicalId":346658,"journal":{"name":"2022 Second International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Computing, Communication and Sustainable Technologies (ICAECT)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, improving the accuracy of object detection algorithms remains a persistent challenge. There are some limitations to its accuracy and many factors like image quality, noise, and the illumination of the image play a crucial role in it. It is more likely that an image would have noise if it was captured in low illumination conditions as the camera captures less light. To solve this problem and improve object detection accuracy, this study proposes to pass the low exposure image through existing Retinex theory-based low light image enhancement models and then its output to be passed into an object detection algorithm. Retinex based image enhancement models estimate the areas with low exposures and noise is reduced from the image as well with the help of neural networks. This demonstrates a positive impact on the confidence values of the object detection and more tendency for an object to be detected. Lastly, a comparison has also been performed on three existing low light image enhancement models. MIRNet, MBLLEN, and TCN models have been used for comparison based on confidence values of the objects detected in various images.","PeriodicalId":346658,"journal":{"name":"2022 Second International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Computing, Communication and Sustainable Technologies (ICAECT)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130396408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Early detection of retinal diseases can aid in the preservation of the patient’s vision. Deep learning based a new modified Convolution Neural Network (CNN) architecture is proposed for RVS. The Proposed architecture has two layers in which the layer one is for detecting the blood vessels of size thick and layer two for small vessel detection. Then the output of two layers has been combined to get the desired output. The proposed method is tested on the generally accepted public databases for this research field, DRIVE and STARE. In addition, various pre-processed methods are studied to investigate network performance enhancement. The pre-processing of the raw input image is much needed for better segmented output of blood vessels. In this work CLAHE, normalization and morphological operation of opening are done in the pre-processing stage. The proposed parallel architecture is then used to segment the retinal vessels. Accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity achieved with this proposed network are 98.02, 98.02, 88.04 respectively. Regardless of vessel thickness, the developed system performs better in terms of vessel extraction. The architecture can also be used to identify blood vessels that are frequently obstructed by factors such as lesions and hemorrhages, regardless of vessel thickness.","PeriodicalId":346658,"journal":{"name":"2022 Second International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Computing, Communication and Sustainable Technologies (ICAECT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131987235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The land that is allotted for agriculture purpose is currently very less when compared to the land that is needed for population requirements. Vertical farming is one of the solution that can be implemented to overcome this problem, where the plants are grown in vertical stacks and it can be done in any building or container. We are implementing CEA technology where the environmental factors such as temperature and humidity of the agricultural can be controlled and monitored by us. We're making use of IOT in order to connect our technology to our farming setup. The system was designed to monitoring and automation of factors such as temperature, humidity and pH. In order to construct a stable communication stream, the receiving side should often have more antennas than the broadcasting side. Because of their better presentation abilities, MIMO frameworks have quickly gained popularity over the last decade. However, multi-stream interference and inter-symbol interference are encountered in spatially multiplexed MIMO systems as a result of the remote channel’s time-dispersive characteristics. To provide dependable and reliable communication, the influence of interference must be appropriately limited at the recipient. In order to counteract interference in spatially multiplexed wireless channels, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is usually used. The study found that combining MIMO and OFDM delivers higher productivity, unwavering quality, gain, and information rate, and that it is an appealing air-interface suggestion for next-generation WLAN and WMANs. As a result, a spatially multiplexed MIMO-OFDM system was developed in this study, and performance measures such as bit error rate and bit energy to noise ratio were investigated using various modulation methods. At the receiver, the proposed method uses a zero forcing equalizer to spatially de-multiplex the data.","PeriodicalId":346658,"journal":{"name":"2022 Second International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Computing, Communication and Sustainable Technologies (ICAECT)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132369744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
