This study aims to obtain the quality of service in the district so that it can be repaired or improved the service system. This study uses the integration of Service Quality (Servqual) with a 5-dimensional approach to service quality, namely Tangibles, Reliability, Assurance, Responsive, and Empathy with the integration of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to create a development and planning process in setting specifications for community needs and evaluating strengths and weaknesses on the service process. The results of Servqual and QFD integration in this study can be seen from the Q value which is not in accordance with service quality standards, the Q value shows 0.86 meaning that service quality cannot be said to be good because 0.86 ≤ 1. Based on the Cartesian diagram, 8 attributes are found. In quadrant A high-expectation value and low-performance value). According to the community, the highest attribute whose perceived value is low but whose expectation value is high is that service facilities and infrastructure are complete and sophisticated.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"87 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SPPA is still carried out conventionally, especially in the idler rebuilding process. There are found work accidents that result in work-related illnesses. In preventing accidents, it is necessary to do risk management efforts. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research by integrating FMEA and TOPSIS for risk management strategies in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The FMEA method is used to identify risks and assess the level of risk based on severity, ooccurrence and detection. Furthermore, the TOPSIS method is used to determine the order of priority for improvement to overcome existing risks. The results showed that there were 17 risks in machining activities with a lathe where the risks with the highest RPN value were experiencing pain or muscle cramps when setting up the lathe, experiencing noise during the lathe process, and exposure to chips from the lathe process. Furthermore, each risk is investigated using the 5 Whys method to determine the root causes of the problems, and it was found that the causes of these risks were low-quality work equipment, lack of training, socialization or briefings on OHS, and the high cost of providing adequate PPE. Based on these issues, a priority list of recommendations for improvement is compiled using the TOPSIS method, including routine equipment condition checks, providing SOPs for equipment use, providing appropriate PPE for each job, providing training for employees, allowing adequate rest time, and providing high-quality work equipment.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"2012 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the more motorbikes are used, the more vehicle emissions are released. So we need transportation solutions that are more environmentally friendly and energy efficient such as electric motorbikes which can be obtained with a converter kit by still utilizing existing conventional motorbike parts as provided by PT. A B C. However, many challenges were encountered in the commercialization of the converter kit from PT ABC, such as limited and uncertain suppliers, limited introduction to the market, and unpreparedness of Human Resources in product management. This study aims to analyze the constraints on the commercialization process of converter kit products as a basis for designing supply chain engineering proposals and appropriate business engineering. Based on the analysis of TRL and Goldsmith, it shows that the product is at TRL 8 or has fulfilled the requirements, but still has various obstacles. Based on the SWOT analysis, the company still has several shortcomings due to limited market interest, marketing strategies implemented, and price volatility. The results show that there is a business strategy design using the Business Model Canvas method to accelerate technology commercialization, one of which is through the expansion of existing partnership and marketing systems.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"30 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Components on aircraft have a high enough price that maintenance is required. The power source on an airplane can be divided into 2 types, namely AC and DC. One source of AC electricity is the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) which is one of the important components of an aircraft that functions as a generator of electricity. If IDG experiences a problem, it will disrupt aircraft operations. For this purpose, IDG must receive good care with effective services. The processing time for maintenance services takes 42.8 hours for one IDG part unit. This study aims to balance the trajectory. The IDG part maintenance process is carried out by Pro-model simulation. The results of the IDG maintenance simulation are the maintenance time in operation (Average time in Operation) which is 42.61 hours and the IDG parts handled are 11 IDG parts. The results of this simulation scenario can estimate the possible number of IDG parts that will occur annually and can estimate the total service capacity that handles the planned number of incoming entities. The best scenario results when the capacity of 1 service group per unit will result in the number of IDG maintenance services of 11 units per year, by increasing the service capacity to 2 service groups per unit will result in the number of IDG maintenance services of 23 units per year. And by increasing the service capacity to 4 service groups per unit, the number of maintenance services will be 46 units per year.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the public's interest in the need for a car which is the preferred option, the range and selling price are part of the considerations in determining the product of choice as the vehicle owner. This choice is important in activities to meet daily transportation needs. The purpose of this study is to obtain the most effective method and to maintain the number of vehicle unit production, production forecasts are needed according to people's purchasing power patterns using monthly data, especially the Suzuki brand. The research uses the Holt Winters measurement method with two hidden layers on the Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) measurement method. The findings from this study are comparisons that can be said to be valid and can be an option in predicting data by utilizing methods to predict the amount of production by brand-holding agents. These results can contribute to optimizing the number of production results so that there are no excess or shortage of unit stock. The results showed that forecasting using a Multi Layer Perceptron with two hidden layers produced an accurate value where the lowest value at the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) was 889.851 and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) was 9.3368.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"62 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existence of weld defects has a significant potential for rework, additional construction costs, and delays in project completion. In the fabrication of pipe joints by welding in the PLTGU additional construction project with a capacity of 650 MW in Muara Tawar, welded joints were found to be rejected at 22.44%. This study aimed to analyze and determine the leading causes of rejected weld defects at the welded joint using the methods used, namely FMEA and AHP. Based on the Pareto diagram, it is known that two types of welding defects dominantly occur in welded joints which will then become the priority for repairs carried out by the contractor, namely porosity and cluster porosity. Based on the FMEA method, it is known that two groups of Risk Priority Number (RPN) values differ quite a lot, namely the group with low RPN values (1-140) and the group.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The defects that arise occur because the composition of injection molding parameter values is not optimal in the variables of melt temperature, mold temperature, packing time, packing pressure, and cooling time. The purpose of this study is to find the optimal composition of parameter values for each variable, to minimize sink mark defects in the product. The analysis process begins with the preparation of an orthogonal array matrix to determine the design parameters to be simulated on Autodesk mold flow. These results are evaluated with a signal-to-noise ratio to determine the effect of each parameter value composition on the results of the analysis process. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method is used to estimate the contribution of each independent variable to all response measurements (the dependent variable). The optimization results for sink mark defects in the sink mark index value of 1.4494%, volumetric shrinkage of 0.5053%, and sink mark estimate of 0.0608 mm are found in the composition of the parameter values of melt temperature 200°C, mold temperature 80°C, packing time 30 seconds, packing pressure 80 MPa and a cooling time of 13,365 seconds. This data is used as a reference in determining parameters before production is carried out on plastic injection molding machines so that the time and cost of testing the injection molding process are optimal.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"24 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351638","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study intends to provide an overview of solutions in the form of case studies on the Mahkota Caman MSME in Bekasi, Indonesia, which experienced a decline in sales during the pandemic, resulting in overstock and damage to non-durable raw materials. As a result, it leads to an increase in inventory costs and even a loss of sales. The solution offered by this study is an optimization of production planning, namely determining what products and how many of these products should be produced in a certain period. The method used is goal programming, both with and without priority, so that Mahkota Caman can meet consumer demands, and minimize production costs, while minimizing the purchase of raw materials. The results of this study indicate that the optimal optimization method used by Mahkota Caman is goal programming with priority because it provides a more efficient solution to production costs and the purchase of raw materials. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that optimization methods be used by MSMEs in the food and beverage sector during a pandemic, and to avoid using only feeling in production planning.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"24 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This competition causes similar industries to compete, including the automotive component industry. To win the competition, the automotive component manufaktur industry must carry out various repair methods. Improvements made include managing inventory, scheduling, delivery, quality management and eliminating waste. Based on observations, problems that often occur in the automotive component manufaktur industry are not achieving production output and unbalanced production lines so that problems such as waste and bootleneck arise. The purpose of this research is to design a model on the production line to increase production output and balance the production line. The method used to analyze and solve this problem is to design a conceptual model of Theory of Constraints (ToC). This method interprets structured and systematic stages to solve problems in the manufaktur industry. Based on the analysis, the results of this study produce a generic model that can be used in the automotive component industry. The models offered can increase production output, balance workloads and eliminate waste.","PeriodicalId":345326,"journal":{"name":"Operations Excellence: Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114569450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
