Amongst candidate bands to be allocated for IMT-2020 mid bands, the extended C-band (±3.5 GHz) becomes favorite due to its advantages in terms of both technology and economy. Thus, many countries identify it as one of the candidate bands for IMT-2020. In Indonesia, C-Band and extended C-band are primarily occupied by Fixed-Satellite Services (FSS) because of its robustness to heavy rain. This study investigates the feasibility for IMT-2020 and FSS systems to coexist in the extended-C band by analyzing the possibility of interference from IMT-2020 base stations to FSS earth stations using deterministic calculations. The calculations use FSS earth station and IMT-2020 base station trial parameters in Indonesia. The study results show that under any circumstances, co-channel scenario is very challenging since it requires very significant separation distance between the two systems. By employing off-axis angle of 50°, IMT 2020 base station need to be separated at least 78 km away from any FSS earth station. On the contrary, in the adjacent channel scenario, two systems are possible to coexist with a small protection distance (about 1 km) and a guard band of 10 MHz. The protection distance can be minimized by directing the IMT-2020 base station transmitting antenna away from the direction of the FSS earth station antenna.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128560220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, some CNNs incorporate channel attention mechanisms that re-scale each channel of intermediate feature maps based on their importance. The channel attention modules squeeze the spatial information of a feature into a representative value to transform it as a re-scaling value. In order to reduce the amount of information, attention modules have utilized hand-designed pooling functions such as max pooling or average pooling which have been widely adopted in CNNs, because they add negligible computational complexity. However, a significant amount of spatial information is lost due to these pooling functions. In this paper, we propose a generalized pooling function that scales down spatial information with respect to the importance of each pixel. Unlike max pooling or average pooling, our score-based aggregation is capable of flexibly adjusting to input. Also, the score-based aggregation function learns how to squeeze the spatial information into the must appropriate representative value, which will convert the pooling into a spatial attention mechanism. Finally, we propose a novel method called Score-based Aggregated Attention Module (SAAM) that utilizes the proposed score-based aggregation. Our experimental results on CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100 datasets demonstrate that SAAM achieves the highest classification accuracy improvement among existing channel attention modules since the score-based aggregation in SAAM is a more dynamic and effective method than the hand-designed aggregations.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128567142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand, it has introduced a new reliability problem called row-hammering, in which, in case that a certain row is activated too frequently, one or more bits in the adjacent rows are unintentionally corrupted. It is crucial to address row-hammering errors because they not only can be exploited by a malicious attack for modern computing systems but also may occur in general applications stored in a highly scaled-down DRAM. Even if several methods have been proposed to resolve row-hammering, existing solutions have limited capability to prevent row-hammering from occurring. Hence, a more robust solution for row-hammering is necessary. In this paper, we propose a novel row-hammering mitigation mechanism, called Adaptive-probabilistic Additional Row Refresh (AARR). The main observation exploited by the proposed method is that each memory access does not have an equal degree of threat to cause row-hammering: accessing a row that has been frequently activated is much vulnerable to row-hammering rather than a barely activated row. In AARR, a small table and a few logic blocks are added to keep track of the threat level that causes row-hammering. Then, one of the adjacent rows of an accessed row is refreshed with an adaptive probability that corresponds to the threat level of that memory access. Our evaluation results show that the proposed method renders the most reliable protection against row-hammering with the lowest overhead on performance and energy compared to two well-known existing solutions.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128180682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses a microgrid testbed simulation consisting of one synchronous generator, two induction generators, three induction motors, busbar, and load. The induction motor is used as prime mover which controlled by inverter. The operation of microgrid testbed, both in stand-alone as well as parallel operation, can affect frequency. The speed of prime mover is used to maintain the frequency of the system at 50 Hz (±1 %). The method used to control the speed of prime mover is by changing the frequency of the power source. The best stand-alone operation frequency (50 Hz) of induction generator is achieved by setting the power source frequency to 46 Hz to get the motor speed of 0.85 pu, while synchronous generator operation achieved with setting the power source frequency to 45 Hz and the motor speed of 0.9 pu. The oscillation occurred shortly when induction generator 1 and 2 connected to the system in parallel operation. This happens because the induction generator not only acts as an active power supply, but also absorbs reactive power from the system, so it affects the changes of frequency. The synchronous generator as the primary generator can reduce oscillation because it acts as both active and reactive power supply to the system, so it can stabilize the frequency.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"131 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127186139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was performed for characterizing their electrical properties and the potential performance at certain application. The investigation results on the design of the double- T Rf energy absorber exhibited excellent electrical performance. The absorber could run in multiband frequencies and has a large bandwidth. The desired absorber device has been optimized by altering the physical dimensions of the SRR and CSRR meta material structures. By etching the two SRR unit cells and six CSRR unit cells in the grounding area, the proposed absorber shows great performance in terms of the return loss, gain, and bandwidth parameters. Also, the reconfigurable absorber design could be maximized for absorbing of the sustainable potential RF harvesting energy that both emitted from the licensed and unlicensed RF communication devices. The absorber covers the frequency spectra of GSM900 Band, GSM1800 Band, WiMAX Band, and ISM Band applications, respectively. This absorber is good for absorbing RF energy with a smaller physical size of 72.25% compared to the conventional designed one.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126827700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ever-increasing demand of electric power needs addition of new transformers every year, which further increases the emissions. In order to estimate the lifetime impact of the emissions from the transformers for reducing the emission, the carbon footprint of 4 different designs of transformers are calculated. The baseline design (design 1) is the one existing prior to the EU Directive 548/2014. This is compared with other designs of reduced losses including the one using the best available technology today (Design 4). It is estimated that the potential for reduction of CO2 emission is 44 % of the best design as adopted. The reduction of emission in the year 2045, would be 105 million tons in addition to the benefits of energy saving if all the new additions to the power system are only low loss (Design 4) transformers.","PeriodicalId":345220,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Technology, Informatics, Management, Engineering & Environment (TIME-E)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131152965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The quality of the image plays a vital role in increasing the success rate of image recognition and related fields. Image quality can be degraded due to distortion, imperfection during image capture, inappropriate light balancing, and exposure to name a few. Various deblurring techniques were introduced to address blurred issues, transforming an image to lesser imperfections, successfully reading and/or identifying available details on it. This study aims to identify, define, and evaluate deblurring techniques in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in the design. Significantly, the study compares various techniques that can be used to recover hidden details in the presence of image noise. The MA TLAB was used as a tool for testing and evaluating the deblurring techniques. PSNR, MSE, and computational time were used to compare each identified deblurring techniques. Based on the comparative performance results of each technique, in terms of accuracy measure, Lucy-Richardson got the highest PSNR ratio of 25.8312 that leads the best result while wiener filter got the lowest PSNR ratio of 21.3012. While, based on the MSE results, Wiener Filter got a higher rate of 0.0074; while blind deconvolution and Lucy-Richardson got the lowest value of 0.0026. The research study is focused on the enhancement of the variable neighborhood search (VNS) metaheuristic algorithm for Bin Packing Problem with Compatible Categories (BPCC). The Searching and Matching Theories as a basis in the modification of changing the random perturbation of the VNS for BPCC algorithm. Significantly, the enhancement improved the searching and matching time of items and categories and effectively packed non-conflicting items in the least number of bins in a reduced CPU time. An average of 86.181 % reduction in the computational complexity of the algorithm in term of CPU time and an average of 0.046% required number of bins was obtained based on the original VNS for BPCC.
