O contexto é favorável para o crescimento da área de design de serviços, a fim de melhorar a tomada de decisões do provedor de um serviço pelo ponto de vista de seus clientes. Esta pesquisa apresenta um estudo aplicado em uma academia de musculação sobre fluxogramas de processos e inovação em serviços orientado à melhoria das suas atividades. Explorando uma lacuna sobre recursos no diagrama Process Chain Network (PCN), esta pesquisa conclui que a combinação do diagrama PCN de Sampson (2015) com o quadro conceitual de características de serviços de Gallouj Weinstein (1997) simplifica a complexidade cognitiva do processo pela visualização de toda cadeia de serviço e alinha as expectativas dos provedores e usuários, pela análise dos recursos tangíveis, intangíveis e conhecimentos tácitos necessários para estrutura e representação visual de um serviço.","PeriodicalId":34511,"journal":{"name":"Estudos em Design","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48495560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nela procurou-se entender como o campo do design pode contribuir com o desenvolvimento da gestão sustentável em ambientes urbanos, apontando oportunidades promissoras observadas a partir do estudo de caso de indivíduos arbóreos da espécie invasora Leucaena leucocephala existentes no Campus Universitário Armando Sales de Oliveira. A pesquisa abrangeu: análise do sistema de poda e descarte de resíduos de árvores no local, necessidades e infraestrutura existentes junto aos cursos de design e arquitetura; estudo sobre sistemas de aproveitamento de madeira urbana e sobre as características da espécie objeto da investigação; testes, ensaios físicos e mecânicos; e experimentos aplicando as principais operações da marcenaria tradicional nos  galhos coletados. Verificou-se que o material poderia ser utilizado em atividades acadêmicas, reduzindo seu descarte e suprindo parte da demanda local existente.","PeriodicalId":34511,"journal":{"name":"Estudos em Design","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42473661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Apresentam-se três etapas de investigação e seus respectivos resultados: (1) aplicação de questionários online para verificar as percepções dos indivíduos sobre os pontos de ônibus de cidades brasileiras; (2) seleção e análise de quatro pontos da região central de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais; (3) realização de formulários in loco nos pontos investigados, entrevistando mulheres usuárias do transporte público. Os resultados da investigação buscam discutir formas de viabilizar um planejamento urbano que contribua para o acesso igualitário às cidades. ","PeriodicalId":34511,"journal":{"name":"Estudos em Design","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49359394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

His research topic concerns low literacy and literacy design and has two aims: firstly, to determine whether design language as a cognitively functional system can cross cultural and linguistic barriers to facilitate illiterate cognition. Secondly, to ask whether data achieved and any co-designed research findings can usefully reflect on and contribute to design literacy? The paper describes three experiments conducted at the School of Communication Research Work in Process Show, in December 2017. These experiments are intended as catalysts: to see what the challenges of the researcher’s research project on levels of literacy and design might be, to explore participant strategies across barriers of culture and literacy, to format appropriate materials and methods which could contribute to his research journey. This paper is a personal account of the process of building a mini Pepper’s Ghost illusion device, a prototype that emulates the Monga Show. Building this device led me to speculate on the possibility of it functioning as a model that prefigures Amerindian Perspectivism (Viveiros de Castro, 2004). This article examines Albers’ modernist theories as they are enacted upon through material and process in a quest to apply Anni Albers’ theories as a methodology for practice-led research. While teaching at Black Mountain College from 1933–1949, Albers encouraged her students to begin their creative process by “starting at zero” (Fesci, 1968) therefore this research begins in the same way. Anxieties that arise from making without knowing what something is or what that something may become must be put aside. Trust in the process becomes paramount as creative explorations start from a place of intuitive making which leads the practitioner to more structured and purposeful research leading to new ideas and foresight into future projects. Design in the complex context of media 媒体复杂背景下的设计

{"title":"Design in the complex context of media","authors":"C. Such environment encompasses information and communication technologies and the cultural communities where they have origin and develop. It also encompasses protocols, practices, products and institutions and power involved in creating and disseminating this media. Such reflections and discussions are important and necessary in order to understand the social responsibility of designers as producers and creators of systems, information and communication, as well as of aesthetic standards that will, certainly, have influence in the culture and structure of the society. Design, as producer of contemporaneous languages – among them the hypermedia and the transmedia – has an active and determinant role in the society where it acts, as one of the main builders of culture. To make flourish, unequivocally, the perception and awareness about this role of design is one of the main objectives of this research project. A Workshop will be presented, aimed at investigating the interrelationship between Design, Communication and Technology. It was performed during the event entitled Intentions: Conversations, Experiences and Knowledge  held in the School of Communication – RCA  Participants had opportunities of understanding how much transformations of the visual represent an instigating and challenging social interaction.
