However, FP arithmetic units usually occupy the major portion of a processor's area and power dissipation. In this paper, we will propose a multiple-mode FP multiply-add fused unit which utilizes the iterative multiplication and truncated addition techniques to support seven operating modes with various errors for low power applications. It can execute either one multiply-accumulate operation with three modes, one multiplication operation with two modes or one addition operation with two modes. When compared to the traditional IEEE754 single-precision FP MAF, the proposed unit has 4.5% less area and 23% longer delay to achieve multiple modes which can sacrifice a little (<; 1%) accuracy for saving large (> 33%) power consumption.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132216491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our major idea is to reduce the multicast routing problem to several instances of unicast routing problems owing to the hop length limitation of light-trails. In the numerical analysis, we use two network topologies and different scenarios to derive the required light-trails and the light-trail assignment of given multicast requests in light-trail networks. Compared with similar previous work, our formulation offers an option with lower computational complexity and can be used as a performance bound to corresponding heuristic algorithms.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121378504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These two-dimensional images are combined in the brain to give the perception of 3D depth and protrusion. With the advent of visual revolution, 3D visual becoming more and more important to us, but how could we enjoy an excellent effect 3D image or video? In practice this requires to introduce a new type of management stimulating the “interpreneurial” approach, active interaction between actors to make coordinated and effective decisions on resource allocation, both within the individual project team and between the teams. In this paper we propose the concept of holonic enterprise based on the principles of leadership management and describe the multi-agent system for supporting decision making to maximize productivity of knowledge based resources. The system is called “Smart Enterprise” and combines top-down project planning with real time on-line bottom-up communication with employees. This provides more coordinated, flexible and efficient resource scheduling in case of unexpected events, which are an inevitable reality when the environment changes. The functionality and architecture of Smart Enterprise system is described, and its usage of ontology and multi-agent technology is presented.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124118795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With emerging computing trends of social, mobile, cloud and big data, and also with the new trend of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in companies, enterprise computing is recently going through transformational changes. This talk will start by looking at the recent computing trends, one by one, and their implication on the enterprise computing, individually and collectively. While the trends started mostly for consumer computing, they ultimately have a significant impact on enterprise computing. It is expected that they will transform how information and communication technologies are used in enterprises, and so that they will fundamentally and permanently change the nature of the business of enterprise computing. We will look at a number of recent example products and services for enterprising computing built on the emerging computing trends and catering their needs, in an effort to take a peek at where enterprise computing is going in the future. Based on this observation, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the future of enterprise computing.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"132 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122770936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

World Wide Web can provide these services provided without the limitation of time and location. Obviously, the number of user is dramatically increasing from amount of the visitations of web pages. In our previous work, we proposed an algorithm to discover more significant information from visited web pages to provide this information to web designers or policy makers to adjust the presentation of their Web contents. However, this algorithm is time-consuming approach due to it needs to scan the whole database many times. Therefore, we propose a GPGPU-based Preference Utility algorithm to enhance the performance by GPGPU parallel model. The proposed algorithm is developed on NVIDIA CUDA architecture. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve about 7x times over CPU-based method. The proposed algorithm can used to mine the information from web log data efficiently.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115956902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
