In order to deal with the large amount of studies on Nicoluccio, it was first necessary to reorder the various manuscripts’ catalogues and the notes on Nicoluccio inserted in other studies. The first part of the essay will therefore be dedicated to the revision of the works’ catalogue and to the recognition of the witnesses of the Sermones; the second part will investigate the relationship between Nicoluccio d’Ascoli and Marco Polo, through a careful reading of the texts that have been taken into consideration.","PeriodicalId":344782,"journal":{"name":"Filologie medievali e moderne","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125341562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Giovanni e Paolo’ dell’Archivio di Stato di Venezia, è datato al 31 marzo 1323. Con esso, i frati domenicani del convento veneziano dei SS. Giovanni e Paolo accettano un ingente lascito testamentario dal ricco Giovanni dalle Boccole († 1321). Tra i testimoni di questa accettazione compare Marco Polo (alla riga nr. 3), il quale, quindi, era persona di piena fiducia dell’Ordine religioso e di questo suo importante convento. XXVIII) rather than in the ‘cerchio’ dedicated to the punishment of heretics (Inf. X). There, instead, Dante places sinners who fall within the general definition of Epicureans, which partially satisfies the identification with the medieval concept of heresy. After an in-depth analysis of Dante’s ‘terzine’ (Inf. XXVIII, 55-60), the early glosses on the poem and the most ancient testimonies on the figure of Dolcino, including the indirect evidence of his writings, are examined with the aim of shedding light on the perception that Dante could have had of this major heretic of the early fourteenth century and the reasons for his condemnation as schismatic, which seems to transcend the mere guilt of heresy.\u0000","PeriodicalId":344782,"journal":{"name":"Filologie medievali e moderne","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116661637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

I temi trattati coprono uno spettro ampio di problemi: la presenza dell’eresia nel poema; la presunta eterodossia dello stesso Dante; i riferimenti alla Croce e alla Passione, esaminati alla luce delle dottrine teologiche e delle pratiche devozionali del tempo; l’influsso esercitato dalla cosiddetta ‘mistica affettiva’ sulla riflessione poetologica dantesca; il problema della creazione e resurrezione dei corpi; l’apparentamento tra teologia e cielo Empireo proposto nel Convivio; l’arduo tema della visione profetica, indagato a partire dall’Epistola a Cangrande. A episodi ancora poco noti della ricezione del poema dantesco sono dedicati gli ultimi due contributi: le chiose dell’Anonimo Teologo al Paradiso e la presenza di Dante nei sermoni quattrocenteschi di Gabriele Barletta e Paolo Attavanti.","PeriodicalId":344782,"journal":{"name":"Filologie medievali e moderne","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115778241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, it was understood that the sacrifice of Christ, to which the discourse on the resurrection is directly connected, freed man from original sin, and thus restored him to the original condition in which the body would have been eternal as the fruit of direct creation (vv. 67-72), such as angels, the heavens and the raw material. In these terms, the explanation of the final verses, which makes the death of the body a sort of interval or parenthesis between two eternities, appears, if not explicitly heretical, very daring, and some scholars have thought of a peculiarly Dantean devolution. Moreover, it is in contrast with the doctrine clearly shown by Aquinas in his Compendium Theologiae, according to which originally the body was not properly immortal but rather rendered incorruptible by the soul that would have, so to say, adequate it to itself. In other words, the body would have enjoyed the privilege of the posse non mori, lost with the sin of our forefathers; only with the incarnation of Christ and with redemption such privilege would have changed nature, and the body would have acquired the prerogative of the non posse mori, which is of the real immortality and which it will enjoy at the time of the final judgment.","PeriodicalId":344782,"journal":{"name":"Filologie medievali e moderne","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114851789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first part is focused on the palaeographical aspect of the two hands that copied the poem and some explanatory glosses. The second part concentrates on the text copied by the hand B, the so called Anonymus Theologus commentary. Following a general introduction to this commentary, a deep study of the glosses to Par. I-XI, the most original part of the text, is undertaken. On the analysis of these glosses the Anonymous Theologus seems to establish a parallel between the raptus of St. Paul and the dantean ascent of the Paradise.","PeriodicalId":344782,"journal":{"name":"Filologie medievali e moderne","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117151765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
