By smoothing the in-plane strains on sub-triangular domains created by connecting the bubble node to element nodes and applying the divergence theorem to derivatives in the gradient matrices, the integration of corresponding stiffness matrices are transformed from surface to line integrals. To remove the shear locking, the MITC3+ technique for three-node triangular degenerated shell elements with a bubble node is employed. The Craig-Bampton (CB) and enhanced Craig-Bampton (ECB) methods, which are well-known reduced-order modeling techniques based on substructuring strategy, are used for efficiently solving frequency analyses. Numerical results demonstrate the reliability and superiority of the present element, called CS-MITC3+, when combined with the substructuring methods to compute frequencies of plate and shell structures.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117001497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is simple to use with clear link-up with contemporary national standards, but it is limited to the verification of Ultimate Limit State. Above that, the author’s experience is that even professionals have inadequate knowledge of the main principles for the creation of the models in cases of atypical details. Simplified assumptions of Stress Field Method are similar to the ones used in hand calculations, but the method is improved to allow ductility and Serviceability Limit State verifications. Stress Field Method can be seen as a generalized Strut-and-Tie Method, in which 2D members with stresses instead of force resultants are considered. The method is based on clear material properties and strength criteria corresponding with the ones used in national codes and regulations. Despite the obvious benefits, the method is not as widely used in common practice as Strut-and-Tie Method. To demonstrate the potential of Stress Field Method, the assessment of well-known example of deep beam with a large opening was performed using both methods in Eurocode context. The results of both analyses were compared. The influence of (i) detailing and (ii) model parameters was investigated with respect to ultimate load and mode of failure. The study has shown (i) wider possibilities to proof structural safety and reliability than the Strut-and-Tie Method would allow, and (ii) an excellent agreement of the results in the checks viable by both methods.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114719797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a Smart Plug device prototype that can that can recognize the type of electric appliances according to the measured voltage, current and power factor. Our device includes two modules. The power interface with the appliance is based on the voltage and current sensors connected to the Arduino Uno. The processing module uses the machine learning approaches such as neural network or K Nearest Neighborhood (KNN) to recognize the electrical appliances plugged into in real time. All of the recognized in-home appliances datasets then can be uploaded to the home energy management system for further applications. For instance, the system gives a warning message to the user when the appliance has an unusual power factor or an outlier in power consumption. This warning is sent via email or mobile phone. Compare to other commercial smart plug devices, our device has more functionalities at a low price.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116753744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DC-link voltage is controlled at the machine-side converter (MSC) by applying the sliding mode control instead of the grid-side converter (GSC). The GSC regulates the grid active power for a maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The validity of this control algorithm has been verified by the simulation of the 2[MW]-PMSG wind turbine system.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"191 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114747043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the variability and uncertainty of these sources, stable operation of the power system with large solar and wind power penetration is a big challenge for system operators. In order to enhance the contribution efficiency of solar and wind power in the power market, a strong ancillary service system is essential and must be reasonable priced. The ancillary services considered in this paper are spinning reserve, non-spinning reserve. In addition, a model for calculating and comparing generation costs for energy and ancillary services, with and without penetration of solar and wind power in the power market have been proposed. Consequently, this model has been developed and validated with a case study. The results show that in a power system with large proportion integration of solar and wind power, the energy and ancillary services generation costs for the power system are high. Besides, the feed-in tariffs of solar and wind power are more expensive than the traditional electricity generation, which leads to high locational marginal prices of the electricity market.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115618576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This proposed hybrid emitting layer consisted of a composite polymer with poly (9-vinlycarbazole) (PVK) and 1,3-bis[(4-tert-butylphenyl)-1,3,4oxadiazolyl]phenylene (OXD-7) in the weight ratio of 7:3 and high quantum yield CdSe@ZnS/ZnS quantum dots. By using PVK as hole transport and OXD-7 as electron transport polymer, both hole and electron was supported to inject into QD efficiently. Consequently, the maximum current efficiencies of 7.9 cd/A was achieved in QLEDs with the hybrid EML, which was $sim 250$ % improvement over the bared EML-device. Moreover, high color purity and wavelength stable green QLEDs with peak wavelength of 536 nm was also obtained.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123917443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, SMEs control their private sector. Therefore, it is emerging to think of new policies that can help sustain the growth of SMEs in developing countries for a better economy. Thus, innovation, being paramount irrespective of any enterprise size, appears to be the cornerstone to achieve economic growth with SMEs. This paper, with Benin as a sample size, aims to provide guidelines for state government to design sustainable development policies for SMEs, providing three main contributions. First, this work proposes a new formula together with a conceptual model for an attempt to well define SMEs. Second, this study investigates the challenges of Benin SMEs across the factors; Funding, Politics, Firm Management, and innovation capabilities. Finally, guidelines for innovation policies are proposed to sustain SMEs growth. To improve its economy, Benin should design and implement excellent and realistic innovation policies to sustain SMEs growth.","PeriodicalId":344653,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123694831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Business managers recognized that when their companies do CSR, they create a better image in the community and are more well-known than their competitors, therefrom increasing their business performance. However, CSR has become widespread in developed nations but in developing ones like Vietnam, it is a relatively new concept that has not caught much public attention. This paper therefore put forth a conceptual model of CSR for tourist companies in Vietnam. This model shows the relationship between CSR, firm reputation and firm performance.
