(Rhodophyta). This research aimed to determine the optimum concentration of Bayfolan® brand commercial sources of essential nutrients and La Molina® A and B hydroponic solution, for the growth and development of the \"conchocelis\" stage of Pyropia. The phase was investigated under conditions of temperature 15.03 ±0.31 °C, salinity 36.05 ±0.23 PSU, electrical conductivity 55.95 ± 0.14 mS/cm, irradiance 15.93 ±0.03 µmol m-2 s-1 and subjected to different treatments and control with Bayfolan® fertilizers and hydroponic solution A and B La Molina. Likewise, the results obtained were the maximum Nitrate uptake with Bayfolan® fertilizer and La Molina Hydroponic Solution with 0.1465 mM and 1.369 mM and Phosphate presenting a maximum uptake 0.0312 mM and 0.053 mM, respectively. The experiments were evaluated in a LED germination chamber (TE-4020 Tecnal) programmed for a time interval of 800 hours of settlement of Cigotospora for its growth to conchocelis; in addition, the comparison of means was performed by a Tukey test with a value of p ≥ 0.05, obtaining a growth on the substrate of 4.15 mm2 with the La Molina solution and 1.54 mm2 with the Bayfolan® Solution, but with different coverage of conchocelis on the substrate 49.75% y 63.09%. Leaving as evidence that the growth of \"Conchocelis\" is cultivated in vitro with commercial fertilizers, a strategy for a sustainable industry of \"nori\" in Peru.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44191737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently there is a decrease in production, due to the appearance of phytosanitary problems that occur throughout the phenological cycle. The fundamental basis of an integrated pest management program is the knowledge of the arthropods associated with a crop. The objective of this work was the study of arthropod pests and natural enemies present in a pepper plot of 1000 m2. During August 2021 - January 2022, weekly leaf sampling was carried out to identify the taxa present. A total of 1485 arthropod specimens were observed during the study, represented by 61.5% natural enemies and 38% phytophagous. The identification of pest arthropods represents the first phase to consecutively evaluate the magnitude of their damage in combination with the action of natural enemies to define their importance as biological regulation agents.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71088667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was found that the substitutes are used in different presentations such as fiber, gel, gum, flour, and oil, improving the lipid profile of the sausage and, on the other hand, reducing nitrites. All the works studied achieved the general acceptability of the product; however, there was a reduction in organoleptic characteristics (color, smell, taste, etc.) in many cases; That is why the methodology on managing the nutritional and, above all, functional characteristics of vegetable products to be used as substitutes for some ingredient or input in the production of sausages must be improved. It is also of great importance to continue broadening the horizon in terms of plant product options with potential properties to be used as substitutes for fat, meat, or salts.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42461241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Atomized extracts containing phenolic compounds promote the proliferation of some lactic acid bacteria (LAB). The objective of this research was to determine in vitro prebiotic potential of the atomized extract (AE) of Swartzia polyphylla (Cumaceba), Maytenus macrocarpa (Chuchuwasi) and Jatropha macrantha (Huanarpo male) on L. plantarum ATCC 14917 and L. acidophilus ATCC 4356. To do this, the bacteria were grown in the De Man Rogosa Sharp (MRS) media containing 1 and 2% (w/v) of AE in anaerobiosis at 37 °C for 48 h. Then, the cell count was performed in MRS agar, and the kinetic parameters and pH were measured. In addition, the resistance of these bacteria to simulated gastrointestinal conditions was assessed. The AE stimulated bacterial growth by maintaining a cell concentration greater than 10 x 106 for 48 h. The growth rates were 0.635 and 0.656 h-1 for L. plantarum as well as 0.391 and 0.516 h-1 for L. acidophilus in the MRS media containing 1% and 2% (w/v) of AE, respectively. The protective effect of the AE under simulated gastrointestinal conditions for L. plantarum and L. acidophilus was significant at pH 7.0 and 2.0, respectively. Overall, the AE presented prebiotic potential in vitro.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43893254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Seeds of the Chantenay Royal variety were used, and clay loam textured soil as substrate. The experiment included three treatments (15, 30, and 45 minutes of seed soaking time) and a control (no soaking in EM) in a completely randomized design (DCA). Five variables of plant height were evaluated (unfolding cotyledons, when the first four true leaves appeared) two of cotyledon length and four with respect to the length of leaves up to the fourth true leaf. Through data analysis it was established that five of the 11 variables under study had statistical significance. The results allow us to conclude that the soaking time of seeds in a solution with efficient microorganisms could significantly improve the development of D. carota seedlings, from the main stage 00 to the main stage 14.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41670360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study was to evaluate the yield and protein content of Ecuadorian hybrid corn grown in the Santa Catalina Valley, Peru. This research was carried out in the district of Laredo and was based on the evaluation of seven Ecuadorian hybrids introduced in the soil and climatic conditions of the area. Yield and protein content were evaluated including agronomic response variables. The trial consisted of a completely randomized block design with nine treatments and four replications. The comparison of means was carried out by means of a Tukey test with a value of p ≥ 0.05. According to the results, the introduced hybrids showed a positive adaptation with results above the local varieties used as control, with the T2 treatment (DEKLAB 7088) having the highest yield with 8,508.11 kg/ha and the T6 treatment (SOMMA) having the highest protein content of 15.51%. The best responses were achieved by T6 in the variables of days to flowering, plant height and protein content, being the third treatment with the highest yield in kg/ha, which makes it the Ecuadorian hybrid with the greatest potential. This shows the potential of genetic materials developed in other latitudes, having a greater diversity of maize cultivars available for the area.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44042309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
