Participants in the study were 134 prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers’ (CPMI) IN BLKLN. Measuring instrument used in this study is the Social Provision Scale (SPS) developed by Cutrona and Russell (1987) 24 items and and measurementPsychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) developed by Ryff (1989) with 54 items. Data analysis was performed using regression analysis. Based on the analysis of research data obtained F value sum of 65.172 and R2 = 0.331 (p <0.01), suggesting that social support was no significant association 3.31% againstto the psychological well-being. which means that there is a significant positive relationship between social support on psychological well-being in the prospective Indonesian migrant worker.","PeriodicalId":342815,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Psychology and Communication 2018 (ICPC 2018)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127419030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses qualitative methods both in data collection and analysis. That is because this research is naturalistic which attempts to understand the actual conditions occur in transition society turns into a globalized one. Observations, interviews, and documentation are techniques used to collect data. The results indicate that positive behavior such as to seek knowledge and business opportunities are still very little. Most internet users use it for entertainment purposes. There are also some negative impacts on internet users such as continuous usage which tends to leave the real world and forget the everyday tasks like school tasks.","PeriodicalId":342815,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Psychology and Communication 2018 (ICPC 2018)","volume":"256 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114008801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The moderator variable is an organizational resource. Data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistical techniques and structural model analysis techniques. Descriptive statistical techniques are used to obtain an overview of respondent data. The technique of data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which its process through LISREL 8.8, to test the suitability of measurement model with existing data in the field and to test the hypothesis of structuring relationship in the theoretical model whether they are fit with empirical data. The government is now increasingly intense to arrest and punish drug traffickers. The punishment given is very severe, namely the death penalty. The death penalty can affect the psychological condition of the convict because they know that they will soon end their lives. Therefore, resilience is important to be owned by death row in order to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, and risk of suicide. The Sense of resilience is important for the environment to provide support that can help convicted individuals become resilient individuals. The method in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews. The subjects in this study were three men who were sentenced to death for drug cases. Data were analyzed using coding techniques proposed by Strauss and Corbin, namely: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results show that there are factors outside I have, I am, and I can that encourage someone to become a resilient individual. These factors are religiosity, services provided by correctional institutions, level of development, and level of education.","PeriodicalId":342815,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Psychology and Communication 2018 (ICPC 2018)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131906557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Respondent age is between 18 to 40 years old (M =28; SD = 0.42). The research method is quantitative method using convenient sampling method and multiple regression statistic to analyze the data. The hypothesis of this study is there is a significant effect between intimate communication and smartphone communication intensity simultaneously toward marriage satisfaction of working women in Jakarta. The result showed that those two independent variables are significantly giving influence to marital satisfaction (R= 0.48; p= 0.000). Even now more and more emerging phenomena such as children’s programs and the phenomenon of children’s personal Instagram accounts. This study aims to analyze the motives of parents uploading photos of children on Instagram. This study uses the phenomenological theory of Alfred Schutz with the constructivist paradigm and qualitative phenomenological approach. To collect data, in addition to in-depth interviews with 10 informants, there were also observations of the informants’ Instagram accounts. Based on the results of research and data analysis that has been done, there are several motives because (because motives) in uploading photos of children on Instagram that are driven by two things, namely the experience of past photo albums and the disruption and limitations of technology owned by parents. While the “For” motives (in order to motives) found are related to 3 things. First, it relates to parents’ efforts to make their children known to many people. Secondly, it relates to a demand to share a child’s development moments with others, especially to distant families or friends who have not been met for a long time. Third, as an effort to realize the pride and gratitude of the parents for what they have today. Based on the motives above, this study categorizes 3 types of parents in uploading photos of children on Instagram, namely The “Exist” type Parents, The “Sharing” type Parents, and The “Memories” type Parents.","PeriodicalId":342815,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Psychology and Communication 2018 (ICPC 2018)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125223216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through this explorative research, the study of competence can be followed up with a more comprehensive study so that it can formulate policies that regulate certification for marketing communication practitioners in various sectors of life (commerce, politics, health, etc.). In the early stages, the research identified what it takes to become a marketing communications practitioner, how much skill is required; at any level. Therefore, this survey is explorative by distributing questionnaires to students who study in the field of marketing communications. Through statistical analysis, founded that COMPAS marketing communication competency instrument is reliable with Cronbach’s Alpha Based on Standardized Items 0,799; 0.893; 0.839; 0.804; 0.831; and 0.597.
