The `G'-shaped microstrip-line is composed of multi segments for good matching and pure circular polarization. Moreover, a semi circle arc shaped ground is used to obtain no tilted radiation pattern. Transmission properties, from aligned structure to misaligned structure of half periodicity of unit cell between FSS layers, were discussed. Transmission properties such as center frequency, 3-dB bandwidth and specific characteristic of each misaligned double layer FSS are shown in the paper. A proper analysis by 3D numerical field simulation is very time consuming as the problem is electrically extremely large. We are using 2D Fresnel-Kirchhoff diffraction formula and speed up numerical integration using Babinet's principle. Furthermore, perfect conducting and real ground plane is accounted for. Time variant diffraction loss (or obstacle gain) and phase modulation as well as time-frequency spectrum of the frequency deviation of the forward scattered signal is presented. In this paper, we will introduce some examples of microwave lens and low scattering surfaces based on metamaterials. The antenna is composed of a circularly polarized (CP) crossed scythe-shaped dipole over a finite artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) reflector. The dual-band operation is obtained by utilizing the original band generated by the radiator and an additional band caused by surface waves propagating on the finite AMC. The parameters of interest are the conductive thread diameter and intervals between the threads consisting of a rectangular woven patch. In a full-wave simulation tool, rectangular patch antennas are modeled by weaving conductive threads with different thread diameters and intervals. The results show that the radiation efficiency increases with a wider interval between the threads when a thicker conductive thread is used. This contrasts with the common assumptions that radiation efficiency increases as more conductive material is used.
