However research on Edmodo as a scaffolding technique in teaching English for a vocational school has been rarely found. This research aims at investigating the implementation of Edmodo as a scaffolding technique in teaching writing in English as a Foreign language. The purpose is to investigate whether there is a significant difference on the writing competencies of the students before and after using Edmodo. The study employed pretest and posttest design. The sample was 39 students of the tenth grade of SMK Masudirini in the academic year of 2019/2020, and all of them were selected as the sample of the study. The data were collected by observing the teachers and students’ activities, interviewing, and using pretest and posttest. The results of the test were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative data were analyzed using t-test. The result indicated that the students can learn using Edmodo as a scaffolding technique in creating narrative texts. It was found that there was a significant difference on the writing competencies of the students before and after using Edmodo. This implied that Edmodo has been successfully used as scaffolding technique in teaching narrative text in English. The flexibility and accessibility made the learners could learn without limitation of time or place. In implementing an effective online learning process, supporting factors and hindering factors were important to be considered. This study aimed to describe supporting and hindering factors of online Learning. The approach used in this study was a mixed-method approach that employed explanatory sequential design. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. The participants were 35 instructors of Mahasaraswati University Bali. The result showed the supporting factors of the success of online Learning came from technological factor, quality of the system and content and human factors. The constraint were derived from lack of quality and poor accessibility in remote areas. On Instagram, someone can express themselves in the Instagram caption as Jun Bintang did. Jun Bintang is a multilingual who uses Balinese, Indonesian and English as code mixing and code switching on Instagram social media. Investigating code mixing and code switching as found in the captions of Jun Bintang posts on his Instagram account was the sole research objective. Qualitative research design with descriptive method was applied on code mixing and code switching phenomena. The research objects were focused on Jun Bintang’s posts in three languages, they were, Balinese, Indonesian, and English. Data were collected through observations conducted in March to May,2020. Results of data analysis showed that code mixing types frequently used were such types like 1) insertion, 2) congruent lexicalization, and 3) alternation. Whilst, code switching types used were that of 1) inter-sentential, and 2) intra-sentential.
