This proposal is an innovative contribution to this problem that makes technology available to support this sector. Through a Web platform that incorporates a 3D interface, the craftsman will reach his audience without having to leave his home, since it simulates the environment of a craft fair where you can browse and see the crafts in its 360°, admiring each detail as if the user were in person. The technological infrastructure includes a catalog of all the pieces offered by the artisans and contact details. A filter facilitates the search for parts according to established criteria. The proposal has validations and various functional tests that show the technical feasibility and usability tests that demonstrate its usefulness and ease of use.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131274338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the nature of OFDM, the transmitted OFDM symbol is the superposition of several orthogonal subcarriers. This generates a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which degrades the overall system performance. In this manuscript, a new mapping scheme for 16-QAM that reduces the PAPR of the OFDM symbol is presented. Our proposal is based on reducing the amplitude of the symbols within the edges of the constellation. The new 16-QAM mapping is characterized by a lower PAPR, but with a small increase in terms of the bit error rate (BER). In terms of throughput, the proposed mapping scheme keeps basically the same trend as the traditional 16-QAM mapping scheme.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131317456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ore size reduction stage is the main consumer in that process, where the Semiautogenous Mill (SAG) is one of the main components. The implementation of control and automation strategies that can achieve production goals along with energy efficiency are a common goal in concentrator plants; however, designing such controls requires a proper understanding of process dynamics which are highly complex. This work studies machine learning and deep learning strategies that can be used to generate models for predicting energy consumption, using key process variables. In particular, the application of K-Nearest Neighbors Regressor (KNN-reg), Polynomial Regression (PR), Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) strategies for energy prediction over SAG mill process data is developed in order to identify configurations suitable to be implemented for real-time prediction integrated over industrial data infrastructures. All techniques are compared in terms of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) where, although all the models achieved acceptable performance, best results were obtained by a LSTM implementation which yielded an error of less than 4% associated to energy prediction.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131715782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, a financial analysis of the configurations taken into account for the development of this research is prepared. Criteria such as: Initial Investment (II), Net Present Value (NPV), Cost of Energy (COE), Potential Savings (PA) and Cost of Operation (CO) are adopted. In addition, environmental criteria such as the Emission of Greenhouse Gases and a technical-economic criterion such as the Savings Potential are considered. The alternatives of generation system configurations you consider are: Thermal Generation (diesel), Thermal Generation with Battery Bank, Hybrid Generation (thermal plus solar), Hybrid Generation (thermal, solar and battery bank) and Renewable Generation (solar with battery bank). HOMER Pro® software is used in the search for the most suitable configuration. This tool helps to simulate the different alternatives and results in more optimal configurations. Finally, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to choose the most convenient configuration, taking into account the multiple criteria adopted. The result corresponding to the best alternative, subject to the input data, is Hybrid generation, this configuration is composed of Thermal Generation (Diesel), Photovoltaic Generation (photovoltaic panels), Battery Bank and converter.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"415 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133323089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, electric vehicles (EVs) provide a viable and clean alternative. This paper shows a mathematical model to forecast EVs penetration, it also presents an application in Costa Rica Power System. A review of three forecasting methods is presented. These methods are analyzed and two of them are used to predict EVs penetration in the country for the next five years. Also, a framework of network conditions to integrate this type of technology is evaluated. ETAP software is employed to analyze the loadability and demand response of the results obtained in the EVs penetration. One scenario (the high bound) shows that by year 2025, 10315 EVs will be in circulation, this participation represents a 2.11% of the power grid. So that, new opportunities to research and analyze are also emerging for the power system under various study scenarios that can aid in power planning. The present paper provides an application and implementation in large power systems that can be used in other systems of the same size.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"181 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133051477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interface is developed through the use of MATLAB platform - use of App Designer, this interface is made based on the phenomenological model of the processes, operating conditions of the plant and parameters of these. For an industrial fermenter the model was obtained from Scaglia, which is used in the programming carried out to obtain dynamic behavior corresponding to the equipment; in addition, the behavior of the wastewater treatment process was obtained from Werner. Thus, the fermentation process is phenomenologically modeled according to its mass balances of: viable cells, the substrate, the product, carbon dioxide; from the most important variables, the graphical interface was worked, in order to present the results in an industrial environment for the purposes of analysis of the process operation and operator training, which allows to considerably improve its versatility in the operation of the process in real time. On the other hand, the wastewater process is phenomenologically modeled in Werner, where the most important process variables are: input flow, biomass concentration, effluents, oxygen in the reactor; in addition to the input signals, kinetic parameters and operating conditions (concentrations, flow rates and volumes), among others. In this work, the Human-Machine Interfaces are developed to allow the parametric sensitivity analysis of the processes as well as to obtain a digital twin for predictive analysis of the process behavior and failure analysis in real time.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114391453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
