Different methods have been developed in this field in order to find the best strategy according to the application. In this paper, a comparison between two wavefront sensing applications is carried out using various CNN Deep Learning architectures to obtain the closest representation of it in terms of Zernike Coefficients. A database of 110 000 40x40 images is created per application using the OOMAO Matlab toolbox where the sensor’s images were generated using 200 Zernike Coefficients to produce a wavefront. The proposed network SH-P Net for the Shack Hartmann and Pyramid sensor fits with lower RMSE than the others evaluated in this document. The database generated with uniform distribution allows the neural network to learn better and faster. The computation time of the networks was about 1 s for 22 000 images and the root mean square wavefront error between the estimation and the input was about 0.00664 rad approximately.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125340887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contrast with previous work, this research considers two real components which are the receptor and the accumulator; thus, it integrates the heat transfer from the evaporator to the cold room. In addition, there is a presentation of an experimental validation of the refrigeration model together with the experimental plant of refrigeration from University of Piura (Peru). On the other hand, it is relevant to verify that the model of the temperature in the fruit, the pressure in the evaporator as well as the condenser match with the experimental measurements. The results proved an accuracy (R2) of 99.03%, 97.78% and 71.89%, respectively. Finally, this study provides a functional and an advantageous tool for model-based control technology.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130035298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a modification of the classical Kalman filter for nonlinear state estimation is presented; firstly, a polytopic set of linear discrete-time models based on a Takagi-Sugeno inference system is used to describe the nonlinear operating region. The stabilizing gains of the linear filters are calculated using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI), the proposal is evaluated through simulations.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121522007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, an efficient administration is increasingly necessary. Drinking water management companies often have consumption losses due to fraudulent consumption by a group of users. Currently these frauds are detected through physical inspections, however it is possible that a user can avoid this detection. On the other hand, multiple studies show that the data contains common patterns in fraud cases. This work proposes the use of a neural network model capable of recommending, based on historical data, drinking water consumption services with a greater possibility of committing fraud within the commune of Lautaro, Chile. Our proposal considers reducing the operating costs associated with on-site inspections, increasing the probability of finding an infraction at the time of execution. By reducing the work associated with fraud analysis, we plan to optimize the man- hours of the process analysts. The evaluation of the predictive model indicates that the proposed model achieves a reduction of more than 60% of cases in relation to previous recent periods considering similar levels of fraud detection, which implies a reduction in operating costs. As future work, the use of recurrent neural networks will be explored, as well as the use of more user variables, in addition to the consumption history.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122026986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gran Asuncion is an urban agglomerate that includes´ many cities around Asuncion, capital of Paraguay, which has an´ approximated population of 2.8M inhabitants from the 7.0M in the country, being the zone with the greatest population density of Paraguay, and so for mosquitoes population. This works consists of the development of a image acquisition system for obtaining images of larvae, and the training and test of a counting system using deep learning techniques. It has been obtained 976 images that have been labeled manually with boxes for further processing and different tensorflow2 models were trained in order to count the number of insects. The main contribution of this work is to offer images for data of the larvae in the region, obtained on field conditions, what is more, they have been tested with different models in order to validate the dataset. Results show the advantages and disadvantages of the different models taken into account. Paradoxically, biomass and petroleum products are privileged as sources for final energy consumption. In the transport sector, the public fleet is old and mainly runs on imported gasoil, while the private fleet has increased rapidly in the last decade, putting under pressure the sustainability of the urban transport. In this study we make an overview of the transport sector in Paraguay, evaluating the main challenges of the country in the transition to the electric mobility. We propose an analysis of the evolution of the vehicle fleet, the energy consumption in the transport sector, the different norms and regulation for electric vehicles and the incentives to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. We propose to reinforce not only the economic and tax incentives for electric vehicles, but to work in the whole ecosystem of the electric mobility to accelerate the transition to a cleaner transport sector.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132374759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its automatic detection is an important task. This research proposes a method that separates segments presenting normal sinus rhythm from atrial fibrillation. Initially, Poincaré plots were generated for 10 consecutive RR intervals. The resulting nine points were connected by straight lines to the plot origin. These images were then presented as inputs to a residual convolutional neural network. The classification process resulted in accuracy rates up to 99.14%. This procedure was then repeated for 60 RR intervals. An accuracy rate of 99.81% was attained.","PeriodicalId":340976,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115438267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evaluation of convergence scenarios of the load flow is a technique widely used to study the reliability of energy systems. This paper considers the classification of convergence scenarios under different loading and power generation conditions. Scenarios where the solution is not converging are evaluated using machine learning algorithms. A data set is built from power system topological representation and the simulation of load flows. Algorithms including Support Vector Machine, K-Nearest-Neighbor, and Decision Trees are evaluated and compared.
