The purpose of this study is to analyze the ways of linguistic implementation of the concept of parents in the local Hutsul world-image. The subject area is the concept of parents. The specific topic is the verbal ways of the analyzed concept representing in the Hutsul dialects. Achieving the set goal determined the choice of appropriate research methodology, especially: the continuous sampling method, which is aimed at isolating the linguistic representatives of the concept from dialect dictionaries and texts for the formation of actual research material; contextual analysis, which made it possible to find out the semantics of the conceptual verbalizers; modeling method that helped to establish the field structure of the nominative concept space. Advances in research is determined by the fact that it is the first time attempts to analyze the ways of linguistic objectification of the concept of parents in the dialectal scope. A recognized theoretical value and practical value is represented in drawing the scientists’ attention to dialect conceptology as an interesting and promising direction. The conclusion and potential future directions of research. Nominative space of the concept of parents is heterogeneous in the Hutsul world-image. It is formed by simple (synthetic) linguistic means, expressed by separate words, and complex (analytical) means represented by a whole compound. The methodological basis of the researched lingual as an integrative paradigm of the idiom is determined, and the description is qualified by the manifestation of interdisciplinary and multifunctionality in the multifaceted scientific analysis of the idiom discourse. Positioning the theoretical justification, methodological and technological expression of the analysis, it is proved that the linguography of the idiom system is a combination of scientific interdisciplinarity and linguistic interparadigmality The purpose of our research is an attempt to determine interdisciplinarity and interparadigmality in the methodology of linguography of the idiom system. The methodology of lingual description as a fragment of idiomological research has a linguistic system approach, different from dialectological studies, with the definition of the main methods of theoretical and experimental linguography, conceptual technologies of linguography, etc. The object of research is linguarium, that is, the language system of a separate speech (idiom). The subject of the study is the methodology of the linguistic description of speech in the plan of realizing interdisciplinarity and polyfunctionality in the verbalization of realities-representatives of the idiom discourse. The actual material of the research is the results of the methodological analysis of the lingual as a language system, in which the linguistic context is modeled on the basis of the ideas of polyparadigmality, polyapplicability, which is the integration of communicative, social, semantic, subjective, motivational, production and other contexts. The methodological concept of idiomological research is the language-systemic approach – the linguographic one, which is defined by us, based on the priority ideas of the new field of scientific knowledge, and in the lens of linguistic interpretation is the idiom as a phenomenon, in particular, its theoretical sphere. The object of linguistic methodology as an idiom description is the lingual of the idiom, and therefore the implementation of the research task reflects the macro process of the formation of a new linguistic paradigm. The methodology of description of monoidiomic lingual offers a wide interdisciplinary approach to the linguistic means of embodying the phenomenon of lingual and a multifaceted characterization of the elements of the idiom system. Methodologically justified linguistic completeness of an idiom represents a high level of proof of linguistic research. Filipenko","doi":"10.18524/2414-0627.2023.30.283849","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18524/2414-0627.2023.30.283849","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyzes evangelical onymia in the work of Vasyl Stus on the basis of his poetic works, which reflect original imagery, an unusual richness of language and expressive means, the seediness of onymes that carry a metaphorical-symbolic meaning. The purpose of the article is to single out evangelical names in the poetry of Vasyl Stus, to confirm the important role of those names in revealing the characteristic conceptual concepts of his worldview. The analysis is focused on anthroponymy, which represents the images of Christ in the context of reflections on his martyr figure, and Judas in his opposition to the righteous. Attention is also drawn to the symbolic aspects of the onymia of Stus’s poetic space. In particular, the attention is focused on the symbol of martyrdom, repeatedly conveyed through the toponym Golgotha / Golgotha. In almost all Stus contexts, Golgotha / Calvary does not appear as the name of the place of Jesus’ execution, but in a figurative sense - as a symbol of suffering and death in the name of a high goal. The analysis is also aimed at systematization, establishing the dynamics of usage and highlighting the evangelical onymia in the poet’s work. Accordingly, the object of the proposed article was the idiostyle of Vasyl Stus, the subject – the structure of the anonymous space of the poet’s works, which was based on evangelical images. To obtain reliable data, the methods of description, induction and deduction, quantitative calculations, as well as component and contextual-interpretive methods are used in the work. The result of the work was a comprehensive substantiation of the importance of the anonymous component in the poet’s idiostyle and the identification of priority proper names used in his works related to biblical themes. Conclusions: the main categories of proper names in the work of Vasyl Stus are concentrated in the anthroponymic and toponymic segment of the author’s onomatopoeia, which was based on evangelical motifs. Names in the literary text are attractive with their content, because behind a well-chosen name there is a person. It is known that the names of the characters largely determine the “face” of the literary work, so the authors put a certain value in the proper name of the literary hero. The purpose of the study is the analysis of the proper names of the literary heroes that function in the novel “Saving March” by A. Kokotyukha, in the collection of short stories “After the 24th” by V. Ivchenko, and in the novel “Saving Eve” by N. Romanovska. Our task is to describe characteristic proper names of the literary heroes, to evaluate them; to prove that the character’s image and name are closely intertwined; to determine the motives for issuing call signs. The objects of the study are anthroponyms used in the works of A. Kokotyukha, V. Ivchenko, and N. Romanovska. The subject of the research are the proper names of the literary heroes and their stylistic role. Research methods are determined by the specificity of onymic material, which requires a systematic approach and the use of the traditional descriptive method and its main techniques: observation, interpretation and generalization. The functional load of the proper names of the literary heroes is determined by the method of contextual analysis. It has been proven that proper names of the literary heroes play an important role in the literary text, they carry information. It can be hidden in the pre-onym semantics of the basis of the anthroponym, in the author’s characteristic, it can be expressed in a whole series of different connotations. In A. Kokotyukha’s novel, traditional surnames, names and their unofficial variants with significant characteristic potential are recorded. Ivchenko’s stories are filled with nicknames (callsigns) of Ukrainian soldiers. Motives for the formation of nicknames have been clarified: from truncated surnames, names, professions, occupations, appearance, favorite heroes, funny situations, etc. Attention is drawn to the special manner of V. Ivchenko - the ability to give titles to his stories. In the headings there is a coding of the author’s idea. From the novel by N. Romanovska, only the names of the main characters have come into view, who, in addition to a number of different functions, perform the most important one - symbolic. The peculiarities of the creation of names indicate the position of the authors themselves and the individual characteristics of their thinking. The very essence of the representation of the mythological code of culture by means of English phraseology is defined. The object of research is phraseological units of the English language with the component ‘mythological creature’, the subject is the mythological code of culture, which is represented by mythological creatures. The research used the following methods: logical-conceptual method, generalization and systematization method, descriptive method. As special methods, the method of component analysis (for the identification and selection of phraseological units of the English language with the component ‘mythological creature’), the method of parametric analysis of the semantic structure (for the distribution of phraseological units according to the appropriate groups of ethno-subcodes) is used. The mythological code of culture is positioned in the study as a set of images of archaic, primitive religious ideas of people, arising from general provisions, which are the basis of theoretical mythology and serve as a kind of translator of worldviews of a person. In phraseology, the mythological ethnocode of the spiritual culture is correlated with the figurative basis of the primary word combination of the phraseological unit, formed under the influence of mythological thinking in the system of the spiritual culture of the ethnos. The systematization of types of ethnosubcodes in the space of the mythological ethnocode of culture is natural on the basis of mythological ideas about the universe and human existence in it. Within the mythological code of culture, 7 typological varieties are distinguished: animistic, fetish, totemic, cosmogonic, astral, eschatological, mythonymic. Two key typological varieties represented in the mythological code of culture are distinguished: the animistic ethnosubcode of culture, which denotes natural phenomena and objects of the surrounding world that have a soul or spirit; the cosmogonic ethnosubcode of culture, which is represented in the general world structure, the development of which goes in the direction from the initial chaos to the orderly one. Polylingualism, dialectal diversity, the state and functioning of the South Bessarabian Ukrainian and Bulgarian dialects have been actively studied since the mid-twentieth century, but no comparative studies and comprehensive analysis of the linguistic situation and modern interference have been conducted, so work in this area is relevant and necessary. The dialects of different languages of the studied area have been unevenly studied descriptively and linguogeographically. Descriptive studies describe the structure of individual dialect systems, analyze certain structural levels, mainly in comparison with the literary language and within the principles of national dialectological schools, but practically ignore the territorially adjacent and mixed dialects belonging to different languages and the processes of interference. The purpose of this paper is to study two types of Ukrainian-Bulgarian mutual influence: at the interdialectal level and the influence of the Ukrainian literary language on the Bulgarian dialects of the Odesa region. The task is to systematize and generalize the phenomena of interference between two contacting languages and their dialects. The material of the study was based on authors’ own observations during field dialectological expeditions to the region, as well as material selected from the corpus of already published descriptions of individual dialect systems of South Bessarabian Ukrainian and Bulgarian dialects. It is noted that some Turkisms in Ukrainian dialects are borrowed through the mediation of Bulgarian diasystems and, moreover, constitute a corpus of regional integratisms. Two types of the latest borrowings from the Ukrainian literary language have been documented: a) officialese vocabulary which replaces previously used similar units of Russian-language origin; b) precedent statements and expressive vocabulary. It is noted that both phraseological macro- and microsystems in Ukrainian linguistics began to be intensively studied only in the late XX-early XXI centuries. The purpose of the proposed intelligence is to investigate the place of the PU microsystem with the nebo component in the Ukrainian phraseology, to describe the semantics features, its grammatical organization representing this microsystem. The reference base was thesaurus and phraseological dictionaries of the Ukrainian language, internet sites, as well as the author’s own phraseological catalogue where 28 Pus are subject to analysis, the theoretical and methodological basis of research is the works of Ukrainian linguists, in which individual phraseological micro- and macro-systems are studied. The analysis of the PUs with nebo component gave grounds to summarize: 1. The microsystem of the PUs with the nebo component is relatively small, but rather diverse in its semantic features and grammatical organization; 2. for such PUs, as well as for the whole Ukrainian language in general, the phenomena of polysemy, synonymy and antonymy are characteristic phenomena; 3. the nebo component in such PUs is used in all case forms, with the exception of the vocative case. Most of the PUs of this microsystem is formed with the nebo component in the accusative singular case without a preposition (rarely): nebo prykhylyty with prepositions z: skynuty z neba na zemliu, padaty z neba, yak hrim z yasnoho neba, etc. (only 12 PUs); the least examples – in the dative singular and genitive plural: as hot as the heavens, to raise to the heavens (only 1 PU); 4. almost all syntactic structures in the microsystem of the PUs with the component nebo are presented here as well as for the whole Ukrainian phraseology in general: a) PUs related to the subordinate phrase: lizty do neba, distavaty zori z neba, etc.; b) PUs related to the word combinations: yak nebo vid zemli vyrosty, yak zirok na nebi, etc.; c) PUs as comparatives: khai kaminnia z neba padaie, etc., and two fold: dusha vidlitaie v nebo, as well as the subjunctive part of a compound sentence: de zemlia skhodytsia z nebom, etc.; 5. The purpose of the research was to identify and describe the lexical-grammatical features of phraseological units (FU), namely noun (substantive) phrases, which required the following tasks: to identify an array of media headlines with a phraseological component; to define noun FUs and find out their semantic content and structure. The object of the study was headlines with phraseological units in Ukrainian electronic editions of national and regional media, the subject was the lexical-grammatical specificity of noun phraseological units in the structure of the title. To achieve the goal, the work used a descriptive method, elements of component analysis (using which the semantic structure of the meaning of phraseological units was established); quantitative method, which made it possible to compare and generalize the obtained results. As a result of the research, it was found that the most frequent in newspaper headlines are nominal phraseological units of abstract semantics to denote the phenomena of the surrounding world; idioms that name a person are also actively used, namely, character traits, character traits of a person, since the main object of the message is a person, occasionally - FU to denote objects or things of the material world. Substantive FUs are most often represented by the combination of a stem noun with the following parts of speech: a possessive adjective, qualitative and relative adjectives and adverbs, numerals, a noun in the genitive case, a noun in the form of other indirect cases with prepositions. The importance of the study is promoted by the fact that virtue, in general, and academic integrity, in particular, as moral and ethical responsibility, are considered universal for Ukrainian language worldview. The analysis has revealed that this moral concept has been the object and subject of the theoretical studies in philisophy, ethics, theology, linguistic and cultural studies, cognitive linguistics. The aim of the article is to recognize the conceptual difference in comprehending the ethical category by the conceptual and verbal description of the logical and verbal conscience structure. The tasks presuppose semantic analysis and conceptual comparison of the concept structures in Ukrainian and English languages, which are performed by means of the analysis of Ukrainian and English lexicographical sources. The article describes the first stage of verbalizing analysis of this universal concept) the main characteristics of its verbal representations being honesty, purity, virtue and moral choice of a personality. The object of the study is agricultural vocabulary documented in the dialects of the Middle Bug area. The subject of the study is the organization of this lexical layer in the dialect dictionary. The sources of the factual material are audio recordings of vernacular speech with a total duration of 205 hours 54 min. 13 s., made in 74 settlements of the Middle Bug area during the period of 2014–2016. The article uses general scientific methods of research: analysis, synthesis and observation, which made it possible to identify and systematize the dialect material; the descriptive method was used in the analysis of vernacular speech. Special linguistic research methods: questionnaires and interviews contributed to the documenting of dialect speech, contextual and interpretive analysis allowed to identify transformations of the semantic scope of lexemes functioning in the speech of speakers of the MiddleBug dialects, linguogeographical method made it possible to illustrate the areology of the documented names. The article describes the structure of a dictionary entry and presents a fragment of the “Dictionary of the dialects of the Middle Bug area”. The register lexemes are marked with letter abbreviations of the names of the examined settlements and with the references to the “Etymological Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language” (1982–2012), the “Eleven-volume Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language” (1970–1980), the “Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language edited by B. D. Hrinchenko” (1907), and the “Dictionary of Ukrainian Dialects of Odesa Region” edited by O. I. Bondar (2011) if the respective word is documented as a dialectism in the above lexicographic sources. In order to reveal the semantics of a register word and describe in more detail the specifics of the Middle Bug area dialects, sentences and microtexts of dialect speech with the obligatory indication of the settlement where they were recorded have been added. The peculiarities of pronunciation are reflected and illustrative material is presented using the general phonetic transcription for recording Ukrainian literary and dialect speech, which is proposed in the first volume of the “Atlas of the Ukrainian Language”.
