For example, industrial systems coming with a huge operating database make ML an ideal candidate for their predictive maintenance (PdM). PdM is the process of predicting malfunctions using data from equipment monitoring and process performance measurements. Indeed, PdM and ML have developed a very strong connection. However, it is not always easy or straightforward to perform effective predictive maintenance for several reasons such as imperfect data. Therefore, we aim, during this paper, to manage uncertainty and/or imprecision during learning, using an evidential supervised learning approach built on a powerful framework called the belief function theory. This research work is applied on NASA’s C-MAPSS dataset for turbofan engines failure prognosis.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115663271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are different ways of collecting data, which allows us to enrich our data and gives us a lever to generate new ways of looking at and dealing with information. And yet, the large amount of data, the daily variation and the different level of granularity require dedicated data preparation. Our data will require prior preparation and cleaning, in order to be able to develop the multivariate and correlation analysis through the Cramer's V-diagram. Our objective, to analyze traffic quality, a parameter that is not only used by companies to verify the suitability of the audience concerned but is also directly related to the bandwidth awareness and profitability of video advertising campaigns. Analytical identification of the variables that most affect traffic quality can be used to optimize both marketing campaign structure and bidding strategy.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115197688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the effects that solar radio bursts have, it is important to be able to correctly classify them in an efficient and timely manner. Recently, there has been great success in object classifying by using convolutional neural networks. Therefore, this paper attempts to classify type II, and type III solar radio bursts, and spectrograms containing no bursts, using a convolutional neural network. An in-depth study was conducted to understand the nature of type II and type III bursts and how convolutional neural networks can be implemented to classify these bursts. Data samples, in the form of FITS files, were collected from the e-Callisto network and processed into images. A convolutional neural network was created with the Python packages TensorFlow and Keras. This model was then trained and tested using the only raw data collected from the e-Callisto network. While the model was not able to reach a very high accuracy the paper shows that such a model can make correct predictions.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116819907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most promising directions in the development of modern technologies for the evolution of macromolecules in vitro is the use of microdroplet devices based on the principles of microfluidics. A significant increase in the efficiency and cost reduction of in vitro evolution approaches can be achieved through the development and analysis of new heuristic evolutionary algorithms. This goal is achieved by numerical tests on computer models of real molecular genetic experiments (in silico experiments). This work was inspired by our recent key observation that many heuristic evolutionary algorithms can be associated with new engineering solutions for the modules of such microfluidic devices. Here, we have proposed and simulated new approaches to in vitro evolution with the prospect of their implementation in experimental microfluidic setups. In this report, we have demonstrated in our in silico experiments that some algorithms that have proven themselves in evolutionary computing turn out to be significantly more efficient than those algorithms that model the routine approaches of modern microdroplet microfluidics. Prospects for the implementation of such promising algorithms in new experimental approaches are discussed.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126566952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, an open-source software was developed in Python, called HidroUFF Density Calculator, that is dedicated to predicting the density of complex mixtures using Peng-Robinson Equation of State (PREOS) as a resolution mechanism. Density was chosen for being one of the most requested thermodynamic properties. The proposed software was compared to a benchmark (UniSim Design), and its results were exactly equal or distant in less than 0.32%.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"97 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134120797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These teams are an expensive resource and are only able to serve a limited number of users at a given moment, which evidences the importance of helpdesk teams operating as efficiently as possible. A common occurrence in the daily operations of these teams consists in the existence of a set of repeated tasks that could be automated through the usage of a chatbot capable of acting on behalf of helpdesk team members. By allowing a chatbot to perform some of these repeated actions, helpdesk teams are able to focus on other tasks, thus allowing to increase their productivity. Additionally, the usage of chatbots to assist a helpdesk team creates a highly available tool, capable of giving answers in a short time frame. In this paper, the design and implementation of such a tool is presented, including concepts and approaches related to chatbot development. As a result, a fully functional chatbot named Triton was produced, capable of helping employees of a consulting company with helpdesk-related problems and questions.","PeriodicalId":338649,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conferences on Applied Computing 2022 and WWW/Internet 2022","volume":"355 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121632269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
