Podcast is a new alternative to audio-based learning, however, its use has never been developed for listening skill in the Arabic Language Education (ALE) class of Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). This study aims to describe the development process of podcast media and its feasibility using RnD method of Branch’s ADDIE model. This media was tested on 20 students who had taken the Istima' Tsanawy. Data collection is carried out by observation, interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, and response questionnaires for product trial results. The results of this study explain the development of podcasts equipped with supporting features such as illustrated vocabulary, practice questions in the form of educational games, and evaluation questions. After being developed, this media received a positive response. Students are enthusiastic in learning with podcasts because it is considered fun and different (a new thing), so the learning interest increases. The percentage of due diligence by experts and students gets an average number of 93.7 pecent which was categorized as very valid, meaning that this media can be implemented in the field as a learning medium.\u0000Keywords: podcast, learning media, Arabic listening skill\u0000Abstrak: Teknologi mampu memberikan pembaharuan dalam ranah pendidikan dengan pemanfaatan podcast dalam proses pembelajaran. Podcast merupakan alternatif baru dalam pembelajaran berbasis audio. Penggunaan podcast belum pernah dikembangkan pada pembelajaran Maharah al-Istima’ di kelas Pendidikan Bahasa Arab UM, padahal podcast memiliki banyak keunggulan yang dapat dimanfaatkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran masa kini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media podcast dan kelayakan penggunaannya di lapangan dengan menggunakan metode RnD model ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Branch. Media ini diujikan kepada 20 mahasiswa yang telah penyelesaikan mata kuliah Istima’ Tsanawy. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, angket analisis kebutuhan, dan angket respon hasil uji coba produk. Hasil penelitian ini memaparkan pengembangan media berupa podcast yang dilengkapi dengan fitur pendukung seperti kosakata bergambar, latihan soal dalam bentuk game edukatif, dan soal evaluasi. Setelah dikembangkan, media ini mendapatkan respon positif di lapangan. Mahasiswa berantusias dalam menerima materi dalam bentuk podcast, karena dianggap menyenangkan dan berbeda (hal yang baru), sehingga minat belajar meningkat karena pembelajaran yang lebih variatif. When using the media, students were asked to work in pairs, one student gives clues and the other one guesses the word. This study aims to (1) describe students' activities in using the word guessing learning media for Chinese language skill of class XI-LMT students at SMA Negeri 5 Malang (2) describe students’ responses on the use of word guessing learning media for Chinese reading skill of class XI-LMT students at SMA Negeri 5 Malang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The 23 students of class XI-LMT are the data source. The research instrument was obtained from the observation sheets and questionnaire sheets during the learning process. Researchers play full roles as data collectors and analyze the research data. The results showed that the use of word guessing learning media for Chinese reading skill ran smoothly and conductively. Students used the media following the work steps. When learning to use the word guessing media, students seemed more enthusiastic. They found the media easy to use, except for 3 students who found it difficult.\u0000Keywords: word guessing; reading skill; Mandarin\u0000Abstrak: Media pembelajaran tebak kata merupakan sebuah media permainan kuis yang melibatkan seluruh siswa di kelas dan memerlukan langkah-langkah dalam penggunaannya. Pada penggunaan media tebak kata, siswa diminta untuk bekerja secara berpasangan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran tebak kata untuk keterampilan bahasa Mandarin siswa kelas XI-LMT SMA Negeri 5 Malang (2) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran tebak kata untuk keterampilan membaca bahasa Mandarin siswa kelas XI-LMT SMA Negeri 5 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Siswa kelas XI-LMT sejumlah 23 siswa menjadi sumber data dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen penelitian diperoleh dari hasil lembar observasi dan lembar angket selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Peneliti berperan penuh sebagai pengumpul data dan menganalisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran tebak kata untuk keterampilan membaca bahasa Mandarin berjalan lancar dan kondusif, siswa menggunakan media sesuai dengan langkah-langkah kerja. This study aims to reveal the meaning behind three simple illustrations of its characters named Ekso, Ego, and Emo by Marchella FP as the illustrator and author of this book. The approach used is descriptive qualitative using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory of semiotic analysis through unlimited semiosis. The results of this study illustrate that the characters of Ekso, Ego, and Emo are embodiments of the id, ego, and superego which are part of the formation of the human personality proposed by Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna dibalik tiga ilustrasi sederhana berupa karakter yang dinamai Ekso, Ego, dan Emo oleh Marchella FP sebagai ilustrator sekaligus penulis buku ini. Pendeketan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce melalui semiosis tak terhingga (unlimited semiosis). Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa karakter Ekso, Ego, dan Emo merupakan perwujudan dari id, ego, dan superego yang merupakan bagian dari struktur pembentuk kepribadian manusia yang dikemukakan oleh Sigmund Freud. Anggriani","doi":"10.17977/um064v2i122022p1756-1769","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17977/um064v2i122022p1756-1769","url":null,"abstract":"Abstrak: The researcher chose Antoe Budiono's painting \"Beautify the Beauty of the World\" (2021) as the object of holistic criticism because the researcher felt emotions such as an invitation to a sense of legowo (sincere) as well as simplicity shown in the visuals of grandfather, chicken, plants, books, and provocative writings in the background. This painting research aims to answer the values and the final synthesis contained in the painting. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with a holistic critical approach. Data was collected using interview, observation, and document analysis methods. The final assessment and decision of value are based on 3 sources of data from artists (genetic information), artwork (objective information), and observers (affective information). Checking the validity of the findings, this study uses a triangulation method. The results of the study show that the visual of the work has a relationship with the religious guidelines of Antoe Budiono. The values contained in the painting are in the form of religious values and social values. The religious values contained try to control themselves so as not to damage or destroy those around them. While the social value contained is mutual help in terms of doing good without expecting a reward (sincere).\u0000Keywords: painting; holistic criticism; Antoe Budiono; Beautify the Beauty of the World\u0000Abstract: Karya lukisan Antoe Budiono berjudul “Beautify the Beauty of the World” tahun 2021 dipilih sebagai objek kritik holistik. Peneliti merasakan emosi menyerupai ajakan pada rasa legowo (ikhlas) juga kesederhanaan ditampilkan dalam visual sosok kakek, ayam, tumbuhan, buku, dan background tulisan-tulisan provokatif. Penelitian kritik seni pada objek lukisan ini bertujuan untuk menjawab nilai–nilai dan sintesis akhir yang terkandung dalam lukisan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kritik holistik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Pengkajian dan keputusan akhir nilai berdasarkan tiga sumber data dari seniman (informasi genetik), karya seni (informasi objektif), dan penghayat (informasi afektif). Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi metode untuk mengecek keabsahan temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan visual karya mempunyai hubungan dengan pedoman agama Antoe Budiono. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam lukisan, berupa nilai agama dan nilai sosial. Those errors could have been avoided because the vocabularies used in the short story are included in HSK-3 and HSK-4. This research aimed to describe the meaning errors made by the 2019 year students of Chinese Language Education Universitas Negeri Malang (CLEUM) in translating Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah short story into Chinese along with the causing factors. This research used a qualitative descriptive method in which the researcher is a key instrument, and table of content along with interview protocol as the secondary instruments. The data sources were eleven 2019 year students of CLEUM taking the Translation class. The data used in this research were words, phrases, and sentences containing meaning errors. Translation errors made by the students revealed six translation errors, i.e., grammatical error, denotative, connotative, sociocultural, referential, and contextual errors. The causing factors of the meaning errors are the student’s limited vocabulary knowledge, and the lack of understanding especially in the cultural context of the short story, the students interest in the content of the short story, and the time management.\u0000Keywords: meaning translation errors; short story Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah; students\u0000Abstrak: Pada tugas terjemahan mahasiswa, ditemukan hasil terjemahan cerpen Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah yang sarat dengan kesalahan. Kesalahan–kesalahan tersebut seharusnya dapat dihindari karena cerpen tersebut menggunakan kosakata yang tercantum pada HSK-3 dan HSK-4. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesalahan terjemahan makna yang dilakukan oleh sebelas mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin Universitas Negeri Malang (PSPBM UM) 2019 dalam menerjemahkan cerpen Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah ke dalam bahasa Mandarin serta mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti bertindak sebagai instrumen utama, dengan instrumen pendukung berupa tabel dokumentasi dan pedoman wawancara. Sumber data penelitian berupa teks Bsu cerpen yang berjudul Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah, teks Bsa dalam bahasa Mandarin hasil terjemahan mahasiswa, dan sebelas mahasiswa PSPBM UM 2019. Data penelitian terdiri atas kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang memuat kesalahan terjemahan makna di dalamnya. Kesalahan terjemahan makna yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dalam menerjemahkan cerpen Pertanyaan Misterius Ayah adalah kesalahan terjemahan makna gramatikal, makna denotatif, makna konotatif, makna sosiokultural, makna referensial, dan makna kontekstual. As a center of intellectual property, college libraries have to disseminate existing knowledge and information to individuals, groups, or organizations. This study aims to describe the knowledge management practices at the Technical Implementation Unit Library of Universitas Negeri Malang using the SECI model and the challenges during its processes. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation, and document review techniques. The data analysis process was conducted using data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis suggested a number of results. (1) The knowledge management in the Library of Universitas Negeri Malang using the SECI model includes the socialization stage (for internal and external stakeholders), the externalization stage (ideas or opinions on service and writing innovations), the combination stage (organization catalogs by utilizing information systems), and the internalization stage (participating in activities seminars or conferences). (2) Barriers to knowledge management in Universitas Negeri Malang library are divided into two factors, namely internal organizational factors and external factors.\u0000Keywords: Knowledge management, SECI Models, University libraries\u0000Abstrak: Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi merupakan bagian penting dalam Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi Negeri yang menjadi pusat pengetahuan dan informasi.Sebagai pusat kekayaan intelektual, perpustakaan perguruan tinggi memiliki tugas untuk menyebarkan pengetahuan dan informasi yang ada baik ke individu, kelompok atau organisasi.Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan manajemen pengetahuan di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang dengan pendekatan model SECI serta hambatan yang terjadi dalam prosesnya.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan telaah dokumen.Kegiatan analisis dimulai dengan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan pada hasil analisis data yang ada, diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut. (1) Penerapan Manajemen Pengetahuan di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang dengan analisis model SECI meliputi tahap sosialisasi yaitu internal dan eksternal, tahap eksternalisasi meliputi ide atau gagasan pada inovasi layanan dan tulisan, tahap kombinasi yaitu pengorganisasian katalog dengan memanfaatkan sistem informasi, dan tahap internalisasi meliputi mengikuti kegiatan seminar atau konferensi. Most teenagers tend to read comics in fiction, drama, and comedy genres. Many adolescents present low enthusiasm and motivation to develop their potential for the ideal bright future induces teenagers to fill their spare time with wasteful activities, especially after the emergence of not-educational entertainment media. Therefore, their time and energy are diverted from essential aspects, such as learning, self-development, and preparation for the future. This study aims to develop an application of digital comics to motivate teenagers to optimize their time management. For the research method, we used a development design consisting of pre-production, production, and post-production stages. Our analysis results suggested that this digital comic is beneficial for society, especially among teenagers, as it motivates and improves time management skills among adolescents. Besides, the results of our survey involving 40 respondents also showed that the “Mastri” comic attained a score of 88,9 percent, suggesting its positive impression and efficiency in providing education about time management from the respondents’ viewpoint.\u0000Keywords: comics, time management, youth\u0000Abstrak: Komik merupakan media visual yang paling dikenal sebagai media informasi atau hiburan yang popular dikalangan remaja. Komik yang biasa dibaca oleh remaja cenderung ke genre fiksi, drama dan komedi. Rendahnya semangat dan motivasi untuk mengembangkan potensi diri demi mempersiapkan masa depan yang cerah sesuai dengan cita-cita membuat remaja cenderung mengisi waktu luang dengan kegiatan tidak bermanfaat. Salah satu faktor yang menjadi penyebabnya yaitu media hiburan yang tidak mendidik. Waktu dan tenaga remaja menjadi teralihkan dari hal-hal yang penting seperti belajar, pengembangan diri, dan persiapan masa depan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan komik digital untuk memotivasi remaja dalam optimalisasi manajemen waktu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perancangan dengan menggunakan alur tahapan seperti pra, tahap produksi, dan tahap pasca produksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa komik digital ini bermanfaat bagi masyarakat terutama dikalangan remaja serta membuat remaja yang berada di bangku sekolah semakin termotivasi dan dapat mengelola manajemen waktu dengan baik. The use of word card media has proven to be a solution to this issue. This study aimed to describe (1) the use of word card media and (2) the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning jumlah ismiyah. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method by providing 2 cycles of action. The research subjects were 20 students of class VIII. The results of this study are (1) Word card media is used in 3 game models that are played individually and in groups to improve students' mastery in explaining the rule of jumlah ismiyah, identifying jumlah ismiyah in the text, changing the pattern of jumlah fi'liyah to jumlah ismiyah and using jumlah ismiyah rule in sentences with the theme يومياتنا “Yaumiyyatina” (Daily Activities); (2) Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, the word cards can improve students' jumlah ismiyah mastery. Students experienced an increase in the average pre-test, post-test 1, and post-test 2 respectively, namely 21.425, 40.425, and 82.55. Namun hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII pada pembelajaran jumlah ismiyah masih rendah. Penggunaan media kartu kata terbukti menjadi salah satu solusi meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran bahasa Arab termasuk Qawaid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) penggunaan media kartu kata dan (2) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran jumlah ismiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan memberikan tindakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Malang. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu (1) kartu kata digunakan dalam 3 model permainan yang dimainkan secara individu dan kelompok untuk meningkatkan penguasaan siswa dalam menjelaskan kaidah jumlah ismiyah, mengidentifikasi jumlah ismiyah dalam teks, mengubah pola jumlah fi’liyah menjadi jumlah ismiyah, dan menggunakan kaidah jumlah ismiyah dalam kalimat dengan tema يومياتنا “Yaumiyyatina” (Keseharian Kita); (2) Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, penggunaan kartu kata dapat meningkatkan penguasaan jumlah ismiyah siswa. Fundamentally, children only need to know a foreign language without learning it, earnestly. At Mu'jizah Kindergarten Malang, although Arabic program is one of its top program, some children in group B still did not know nor understand hijaiyah letters, hindering the practice of Arabic and limiting children's learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of flashcard media on kindergarten students’ hijaiyah writing skills improvement. This study used classroom action research method with two cycles. The obtained results suggested that the hijaiyah writing learning with flashcards media has been carried out, properly as shown from the increased teacher and student activity. Besides, we obtained significant results after the use of flashcard media in each learning cycle, with 0 learning result in pre-cycle, followed by 38.46 and 76.92 percent score in the first and second cycle, respectively. \u0000Keywords: flashcards; writing; hijaiyyah letters\u0000Abstrak: Cara mengajar bahasa Arab untuk anak usia dini sangat berbeda caranya dengan mengajar bahasa Arab pada anak di tingkat SD, SMP, atau SMA. Pada dasarnya, anak-anak hanya perlu tahu bahasa asing tanpa harus mempelajari semuanya. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar menulis huruf hijaiyyah kelompok B di TK El Mu’jizah Malang. Program unggulan TK El Mu’jizah adalah bahasa Arab namun terdapat beberapa anak kelompok B yang sama sekali belum mengenal dan paham huruf hijaiyyah, sehingga menghambat praktik bahasa Arab dan menurunnya hasil belajar anak. Maksud dan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses-proses menulis huruf hijaiyyah bersambung menggunakan media kartu bergambar dan menjelaskan peningkatan hasil praktik menulis huruf hijaiyyah kelompok B di TK El Mu’jizah Malang dengan menggunakan kartu bergambar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dalam dua siklus. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media kartu bergambar dalam pembelajaran menulis huruf hijaiyyah bersambung terlaksana dengan baik, buktinya adalah meningkatnya aktivitas guru dan siswa. The product was developed using the Kvisoft flipbook maker application. The research and development process used a model from Sugiyono which has been modified into seven stages, namely: 1) potential and problems; 2) data collection; 3) product design; 4) design validation; 5) design revision; 6) product testing; and 7) product revision. The e-book contains the starting page, table of contents (theme of each chapter, learning objectives and apperception), materials, practice questions, and closing pages. The developed e-book is categorized as valid with a score of 88 percent from the material expert and as very valid with a score of 88.8 percent from the field material expert, and categorized as valid with a score of 84.7 percent from the media expert. The e-book is also categorized as good through product trials with a percentage of 80.2 percent. Based on trials, it was revealed that the Mandarin e-book product 学汉语 has matched the learning needs of the 11th-grade students of Islamic High School Kepanjen Malang.\u0000Keywords: e-book; Chinese; Kvisoft flipbook maker\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk yaitu e-book bahasa Mandarin sesuai kebutuhan bahan ajar kelas XI Semester 2 SMA Islam Kepanjen Malang. E-book bahasa Mandarin dikembangkan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi yaitu Kvisoft flipbook maker. Proses penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model dari Sugiyono yang sudah dimodifikasi menjadi tujuh tahapan yaitu: 1) potensi dan masalah; 2) pengumpulan data; 3) desain produk; 4) validasi desain; 5) revisi desain; 6) uji coba produk; dan 7) revisi produk. E-book berisi halaman awal, daftar isi (tema setiap bab, tujuan pembelajaran dan apersepsi), materi, latihan soal, dan halaman penutup. E-book yang dihasilkan dikategorikan valid dengan nilai sebesar 88 persen dari ahli materi, sangat valid dengan nilai sebesar 88,8 persen dari ahli materi lapangan, dan valid dengan nilai sebesar 84,7 persen dari ahli media. E-book 学汉语 uga dikategorikan baik melalui uji coba produk dengan persentase sebesar 80,2 persen.
