Susilawati, Widi Cahya Adi, Parlin Parlin","doi":"10.31332/atdbwv15i2.4242","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31332/atdbwv15i2.4242","url":null,"abstract":"The objectives of this development research are to produce video media for learning biology material for Covid-19 and synthesize the results of the validation of the Covid-19 biology learning video media as an alternative to increase students' basic competencies. The subject of this research is the biology teachers of class X at Kota Kendari. The results of the research shows that learning video media production went through seven stages, i.e., 1) analysis of potential and problems related to infrastructure at the research location; 2) data collection of scientific articles and modules; 3) product design; 4) validation of material designs by experts; 5) design improvements with consideration of advice from experts; 6) media product trial by teachers; and, 7) revision of media products with consideration from the teachers. The results of the validation of the learning video media are categorized as feasible. Therefore, the learning video media was potential to be developed as alternative media to foster the students’ basic competence of viral material.Keywords: Alternative media; basic competence; biology; Covid-19; learning video media. This study used the literature study method with Tuhfatul Maudud Bi Ahkamil book as the primary sources and written data, books, the results of studies and research, Ibnu Qayyim Al- Jauziyyah’s other work which talked about education, particularly about early childhood education as the secondary sources. The results of the study showed that the concept of early childhood education according to Ibnu Qayyim Al- Jauziyyah was an early childhood education concept applied to children aged 0-6 years old. Where this characteristic of education according to Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah is the beginning for the further development of children's education. The age stage of 0-2 years as the beginning of the child's life so that the concept of education focuses on when the child is just born, the call to prayer to circumcision. Therefore, equal distribution of education by the government is very necessary. But in reality, decent and quality education is still not fully available for all circles. This study aims to find out and describe the education management system of remote communities and the management of the education system at SD Inpres 5 Bahong Langi, Bonto Cani Village, Bonto Jai District, Bone Regency, as well as to find out and describe how the role or contribution of youth in minimizing educational discrimination, especially in remote communities. The research design used in this study is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study show that the education system of remote communities is very far behind when compared to other regions. The management of the education system applied to SD Inpres 5 Bahong Langi is to implement a learning process that is divided into two sessions, due to the limited classrooms, facilities and lack of educators, resulting in the achievement of educational muu is not optimal. The role of youth in minimizing educational discrimination in remote communities, especially at SD Inpres 5 Bahong Langi, is by providing donations in the form of reading books, school uniforms, the Qur'an, writing books and manifesting themselves as educators for a while.
