Кам’янця-Подільського виокремити різновиди та проаналізувати особливості дизайну цього виду друкованої графіки. Методологія дослідження. Використано методи історичного та мистецтвознавчого аналізу. Наукова новизна. Досліджено основні різновиди поштових листівок із зображенням Кам’янця-Подільського, а також здійснено їх мистецтвознавчий аналіз. Висновки. Вирізняючись точністю зображення, численністю сюжетів, їхньою інформативністю, видова документальна листівка кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. стала важливим ілюстрованим виданням. Її дизайн в залежності від функціонального призначення і розвитку поліграфічної промисловості різнився формально-художніми ознаками, композицією побудови зображення лицьового боку, характером репродуктивного сюжету, технікою друку, особливостями оформлення адресного боку, тематикою видів й серійними ознаками. {"title":"Modern Tendencies in Architecture on the Example of Pavilions of Serpentine Gallery in London","authors":"Viktoriia Malaniuk","doi":"10.31866/2617-7951.2.1.2019.170354","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31866/2617-7951.2.1.2019.170354","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of the research is to analyse basic tendencies in modern architecture on the example of temporal summer pavilions of art-gallery of Serpentine, located in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, London, into the creation of which during 2000s–2018s the best-known architects from all over the world were engaged. Research methods. The methods of synthesis, comparison, generalization, and historical approach have been used, as well as a thorough analysis of the project practice and the works of leading theorists in history of architecture. The scientific novelty is in the analysis of modern tendencies in architecture of exhibition pavilions with the discovery of new approaches in the architectural planning, formation, application of new building materials, taking into consideration stylistic transformations and creative handwriting of the author. Conclusions. The retrospective review of eighteen pavilions of Serpentine Gallery in London allows to distinguish a number of tendencies in modern architecture. At first, prominent architects of senior generation, by and large representing the style of deconstructivism, were engaged in creation of pavilions. More recently, a tendency has emerged to invite young avant-garde architects who successfully combine both technological innovations and authentic ethnic patterns in their works. Methods of research. The basic method applied in the research is method of complex analysis. Scientific novelty. The novelty of the research lies in discovering the tendencies of usage of geometrical ornaments in modern graphic design projects and in identifying the methods of transformation of Ukrainian geometrical ornamentation. It has been found out that in the sphere of brand identity geometrical elements of ornaments, losing their connection with traditional technologies of implementation, come under influence of visual transforma -tions, namely, switching to line graphics, using contrform effect and pixelation effect. At the same time in the sphere of sign formation sign elements of the graphical ornaments largely obtain abundance of colouring or become sub ject to colored characteristics of letter and type elements (logos). In billposters and posters an versions of execution is used. In other adver tising vehicles and graphic products, such as packaging and advertising booklets, one-co-lour, or monochrome implementation of orna mental ribbon is most frequently found, which makes it a unique marker of national culture and national traditions. Conclusions . The research proved the idea that geometrical ornaments and their individual elements are used in a wide range of graphic design products. It should be noted though that most of these elements fall onto the sphere of sign formation, brand identity, billposters and posters, and far less are used in packaging and print advertising products. The design of modern advertising and graphic products still does not sufficiently use the potential of the sign elements of Ukrainian geometrical ornaments. Research methodology. Methods of historical and art-study analysis are used. Scientific novelty. Volodyslav Fedorovich’s facts of life, organizational and patronage activity were introduced for the first time. Conclusions. The contribution of V. Fedorovich to the culture of Galicia and the degree of patronage over its prominent figures can not be overemphasized. Who knows how the fate of the last days of social and political conflicts would have prevailed, if not patronage of an educated landowner-patriot. Today, even a cursory review of the life path of V. Українські митці опинились між різними шляхами, або зобов’язуватися перед Заходом, з обіцянкою уваги і фінансової підтримки, або слідувати радянській ідеології і ступати на шлях побудови сучасної української ідентичності. Існує й інший,  складний напрямок, який не тільки не має винагороди для самого художника, але й виступає проти Заходу і Сходу. Методологія дослідження . Використовуються методи історичного та мистецького аналізу. Наукова новизна . Вперше в науковий обіг були введені факти про Ерос в українському мистецтві в період незалежності України. Висновки . Сучасна українська ідентичність у образотворчому мистецтві буде об’єднанням західних і східних проблем, трансформованих через українську точку зору. Художники шукатимуть як власну перевірку, так і самоцінність через вільне вираження, а також пошук спільноти, що цінує їхню роботу. Українське розуміння Еросу – це щастя, веселощі і взаємна вигода, що протиставляються імперіалістичним переконанням європейських країн і Росії.
